Dragon Ball The Next

Zamasu saw Goku dashed towards him at a very fast speed.

It's too fast. If I try to dodge it only at the last second I might not be able to make it. I have to move before he even tries to make a move. Zamasu thought in his mind.

Looking at his body posture it's right. Zamasu thought as he swayed his body to the left.

He was able to dodge the first attack but Goku throws a kick after that sending him flying into the air.

"Is it over already?" Vegeta said.

"That was a letdown." He said, he was expecting Zamasu to be an upgrade over Goku Black but Zamasu was noticeably weaker.

"Got you," Zamasu said as he used Kai Kai to teleport himself behind Goku and restrain his hands.

"What?" Goku was shocked.

Before Goku could use his superior power to break out of his hold Zamasu used his martial arts to pin Goku down to the ground.

"Now I am starting to enjoy this," Vegeta said while smiling.

Beerus hit him in the head for his immature comment.

Vegeta would have retorted back if it was any other person but he stopped since it was Beerus.

Bulma and Bra would have also got away with this kind of thing.

Goku was able to break free by powering up a little.

"I was hoping you would just give up," Zamasu said as he backed away a few steps to regain his composure.

"I am kind of stubborn," Goku said as he dashed towards Zamasu.

Zamasu created an angry blade in his and tried to slice Goku.

Goku dodged the attack and pushed away Zamasu using his hands.

He would have tried to throw a punch and kick instead if he could but he had to react to Zamasu's attack so he could only push him away.

Zamasu used amazing acrobatic skills to recover from Goku's attack without going out of the ring.

"How is he not eliminating Zamasu guy," Beerus said in anger.

"It seems that despite using all of his power he was still holding back at the last moments to avoid eliminating his opponent," Whis said.

"So he is intentionally keeping Zamasu guy in the fight despite being able to win?" Beerus asked.

"That is exactly how everything is unfolding," Whis answered.

"So He is still playing around," Beerus said.

Zamasu faked a jab.

Goku didn't fall for it this time as he went into a kick Zamasu.

But Zamasu jumped into the air and landed both of his legs on Goku's leg.

He tried to kick Goku but Goku changed his posture to land a kick on Zamasu's crotch.

"Ohh." Every male who has a private area was shocked when Goku landed that attack.

Zamasu fell to the ground while holding his private area.

"Ah." Goku was also shocked.

He followed his instinct and accidentally hit someone in an area where you are not supposed to hit someone.

"Are you okay?" Goku said as he tried to check on Zamasu's condition.

He also retransformed back to his base form and deactivated Kaioken.

But when he did that his movements were restricted by God's bind.

"Got you," Zamasu said as he got up while smiling.

"I am not strong enough to overwhelm you with just my power so sorry about that. But next time it will be different." He apologized to Goku but he does not seem to be sorry about that.

No matter what he does he would not be able to defeat Goku if he fought fairly.

He could land a hundred punches but Goku's one punch would still hurt him more.

So he has to make Goku drop his guard and eliminate him using methods that would be deemed underhanded.

Luckily for him, his research about Goku allowed him to realise that Goku is someone who wanted to fight his opponents at their strongest.

"I see he was using Goku's kindness and pure heart to his advantage. Goku's inexperience in fighting someone who will exploit his weakness didn't help either." 17 said.

"How does that even work? Didn't he regularly spar with Vegeta?" 18 asked.

"Are you stupid? Vegeta is not smart enough to use that kind of trick. And even if he did he would be too prideful to use it. Zamasu also used Goku's growing arrogance and negligence towards his advantage." 17 replied.

Vegeta was not very fond of 17's assessment of him.

"If Goku was a little more careful this would not have happened." 17 continued.

"He is right. Dad has been getting more and more careless since he fought Cell," Gohan said while agreeing with 17's assessment.

"But there is a reason," Gohan said while smiling.

He believed that Goku could win this fight.

And his belief was not unfounded.

In the past Gohan grew up seeing Goku win no matter what his odds are.

Goku was the first Super Saiyan.

The hope of the universe.

The hero who saves the world.

But Gohan miscalculated one thing.

This is a friendly exhibition and Goku was not shouldering the fate of the whole universe at that moment.

Meaning that he is only fighting someone out of his love for fighting and does not have much drive to win.

Because of that, he was unable to draw out his latent power to get him out of a tricky situation like this.

"Kai Kai," Zamasu said as he teleported Goku back onto the platform where Beerus and others were.

"What?" Beerus said in shock as he saw Goku standing next to him.

"Son Goku is out of bounds. Contestant Zamasu wins." The grand priest said as he looked at Goku who was now in the audience stand.

"Universe 11 has two victories while Universe 7 have one. Universe 11 wins." The grand priest announced as others universe cheered.

"They really must hate our universe," Gohan said as he realized that everyone was very excited about Universe 11's victory.

"It seems like we are the bad guys this time," Marron said.

The audience also realises that the other universes are very hostile to them.
