Chapter 237.1. Demon Lord Battle
Satan stares at me with a mix of caution and astonishment, but I can sense a trace of fear in his gaze. How rude. Isn’t it usually the protagonist who looks at the enemy with fear? Satan, with his theatrical overreaction, waves his hand—apparently, a signal. The demon soldiers standing by the walls spring into action.
They must be soldiers meant to support Satan. Despite wearing heavy armor adorned with impractical spikes, they move with such speed that their forms blur as they raise their halberds and charge.
“Leave the grunts to me!”
With a fully loaded gatling gun at the ready, Serika maneuvers twelve flying daggers and her gunbit to intercept the demon soldiers.

Sei quickly casts auto-healing magic on everyone, and a girl’s voice echoes out of nowhere. A wall that looks like reinforced glass, towering five meters tall, rises before the demon soldiers, halting their advance with its labyrinth-like layout.

The girl’s voice whispers in my ear, explaining the wall’s function. What the heck? This shield is practically cheating. It’s not even a physical wall—just a force field shaped like one.

Grinning slightly at Sachi’s proud voice, I open my arms wide, focusing on Satan. The demon soldiers are left to Serika.

Serika’s daggers soar through the air like missiles, piercing the soldiers’ torsos along with their armor. In the brief moment they stagger, she fires the gatling gun through the wall. As Sachi said, the bullets pass through the barrier effortlessly, mowing down the demon soldiers.
Amid the clattering of the armored demons collapsing to the ground, Shizuku and Yukihana move toward Satan. Shizuku has already transformed into Red Mode.
If Satan’s overall status is 25,000, ours is 10,000, so we can’t really match him. But with Shizuku and I transformed, our stats are boosted to 15,000. Plus, with Sachi’s support magic, we gain an extra 20%. Another 20% comes from the enhancement brought by battle techniques. These bonuses are added to our base stats. Post-transformation, Shizuku and I start with higher base values.
Shizuku and I reach 21,000. Yukihana’s group is at 14,000. Even with equipment bonuses, there’s still quite a gap between us and Satan.
On top of that, he’s about three meters tall. If he were larger, we could use tactics like hiding behind pillars, but since he’s not that tall, we have no choice but to fight him head-on. This doesn’t match my image of Satan at all.
As Shizuku and the others approach, Satan opens the three dragon mouths and activates both magic and battle techniques.

What’s with this? He’s supposed to be the final boss, but instead of just going all out offensively, Satan is busy casting support magic on himself. That’s a bit unfair, don’t you think? Where’s the dignity of a boss? Has his status surpassed 30,000?

Without hesitation, Shizuku grips her crystal sword, and Yukihana closes the distance, wrapping her fists in aura.
Satan bares his fangs, raising his sword horizontally to intercept the two of them.

Both of them move sharply, scraping the floor as they shift to either side of Satan. Shizuku targets his left head with a sweeping slash, while Yukihana aims a punch at his right.
Satan turns two of his heads toward Yukihana, attempting to bite down on her approaching fist. Yukihana quickly pulled her fist back, crouching before launching her right leg in a powerful kick aimed at one of the heads.
But Satan whips his two heads back like a lash, dodging the kick. Yukihana extends her leg, using the momentum to spin and leap into the air, bringing down an elbow strike.

To counter her incoming strike, Satan activates a technique. Two of his heads, glowing with red aura, whip at Yukihana’s body. The first hit is deflected by Sachi’s defense magic with a sound like shattering glass, but the second strike breaks through.
“Urgh!”

With a groan, Yukihana uses a damage-mitigating technique to lessen the impact, but the gap in stats is too vast, and she is sent flying.
She crashes to the floor, bouncing and rolling violently.

Sei immediately casts healing magic, but even after just one blow, Yukihana coughs up blood, staggering on her feet.
Meanwhile, Shizuku is locked in a sword fight. Satan, having driven off Yukihana with just two of his heads, now faces Shizuku, blocking her with his greatsword.
Shizuku’s instincts tell her that his sword can wound her. Sensing danger, Satan swings his massive blade at lightning speed, but Shizuku deftly parries it, sliding her crystal sword along its edge.
“Your crimson form… could it be the same origin as mine?”
“That’s right. You cannot defeat me. If you surrender now, I’ll kill you without pain.”
“Foolish! I never expected to face enemies that weren’t even human, damn it!”
Satan curses, increasing his sword speed. The sound of their swords clashing echoes violently, the sparks and gusts from their blows the only visible signs of their movements.
Satan’s stats are overwhelmingly higher, but most of his stat points are allocated to mana, giving him versatility. However, the remainder of his stats are spread evenly, allowing Shizuku, who surpasses him in dexterity and battle sense, to parry all his attacks.

Satan, trying to break the stalemate, activates a technique. In the accelerated world, everything except for him moves at a near standstill.

But Shizuku immediately counters by accelerating as well.
“Tch, so you know acceleration techniques too.”
“As a frontline fighter, it’s a given.”
Satan narrows his eyes, scowling as Shizuku smirks and channels aura throughout her body.
