Earth With Dungeon: Saving the World With an Economic Boom

Chapter 271.2

Chapter 271.2. Infiltration

I hope you won’t think badly of me, as I step into the Amatsugahara Corporation building.

The first floor has been remodeled into a neat lobby, with workers placing potted plants in the corners, cleaning staff wiping windows, and office workers seated on the sofas, discussing business matters.

However, Fortune suddenly feels a sense of discomfort. Wasn’t this place more chaotic before? I remember it being much more disordered.

It’s an ordinary office building. And a rather high-quality one at that. Despite the discomfort, she tries not to dwell on it, and walks with the others toward the reception lobby.

“Excuse me, we’re here to meet President Amano.”

Using slightly awkward formal language, Fortune speaks to the receptionist. They could take the stairs, but the elevator would be faster.

“Yes, President Amano… I’m sorry, but he is currently unavailable.”

The red-haired girl with a ponytail, sitting at the reception desk, tilts her head and smiles sweetly as she responds.

As expected, the answer is as anticipated. So, Fortune thinks of using her [Fate Selection] skill, which would allow her to persuade them.

“Wait, Fortune. That skill is useless.”

Ares extends his muscular arm to stop her. Surprised by the unexpected halt, Fortune looks at Ares, who is glaring sharply.

“She’s not human. She’s a fairy machine. It seems our actions have been discovered.”

“A fairy machine? What kind of fairy machine is she?”

Looking at the receptionist, Ares snorts in amusement, and Fortune hurriedly wonders if she might be Silky. When she looks at the receptionist, the girl grins, her canine teeth gleaming.

“You’re quick to figure it out! I had prepared a lot in advance!”

The girl’s rough voice fills the air, and the reception counter explodes in a cloud of smoke, with light bullets flying from within.

A familiar electronic noise crackles through the air, and before Fortune and the others can react, they are hit and the explosion erupts.

As the lobby is shattered by the massive explosion, the red-haired girl emerges from behind the counter. In her hands are futuristic submachine guns, glowing with light lines at various points.

“Heh. Did you enjoy the power of the plasma machine gun?”

Surrounded by smoke from the searing heat, the girl grins proudly. But then, she frowns slightly as she looks at the smoke.

“The plasma machine gun… I recognize this weapon. Who are you, no, who are all of you?”

From within the smoke, Ares steps forward, questioning the girl. His clothes show no signs of burns.

“I was surprised. I didn’t remember this world having that level of technology.”

“It was made by Naja, obviously. This means they must have the necessary facilities here.”

Late to appear, Metatron and Fortune also emerge, and like Ares, they are unscathed.

“It seems we were ambushed.”

Fortune clicks her tongue and scans her surroundings. The once pristine lobby has transformed into the landscape of a ruinous town, and besides the girl before them, Fortune senses the presence of four others.

[Home Emperor Training Grounds]

From somewhere, the girl’s voice echoes. Fortune realizes they’ve been trapped in a distorted space.

“I recognize this scene. It’s the combat training ground of Tir Na Nog.”

Calmly, Ares surveys the surroundings and makes his judgment. The ruins of buildings, with their frames remaining, and piles of rubble that could be used as shields, create an atmosphere that seems like a ruined town, but due to the strategic placement of the buildings suited for combat training, he easily figures out where it’s modeled after.

“That’s right. This is your graveyard!”

The girl, proudly aiming her plasma submachine gun, smirks as she speaks. Ares sneers coldly in response.

“May the name of the God of War, Ares, be etched into your body.”

“Watch the power of Fortune.”

“Oh, God, we offer this pitiful lamb.”
