Chapter 276.2
Chapter 276.2. Control
With a bell-like, sweet voice, a playful thought responds.
[Hehe. Leave it to me. I’ll definitely defeat Amano Sakimori. Just kidding. That sounds like a setup for failure, doesn’t it? Leave it to me. I’ll play with Amano Sakimori and even have kids with him.]
Amused by the mischievous thought, Shizen gives a faint smile and drifts off to sleep, having decided that their next encounter would be a battle.
Certain, almost as if by instinct, that Amano Sakimori would come to this world.
The connection to the creator’s thoughts was severed. Tia sat on the rusty iron fence of an abandoned building rooftop, swinging her legs playfully, laughing mischievously.
“Honestly, giving me no restrictions but still issuing commands—really, either too kind-hearted or just plain oblivious. And taking the form of a little girl, how unexpected. Could it be they’re aiming for a visually perfect form? Her chest was certainly big enough.”
Swinging her legs, she mused about how unexpected it was. She had anticipated a handsome man or a charismatic beauty, not a young girl. Then, reconsidering.
“Maybe she based her form on Amano Sakimori’s elder sister. That would make sense. If her only references were his sister or Sakimori himself, that explains it. But I guess she didn’t want to imitate her rival.”
Not exactly a good strategy. Mimicking someone else too much usually sets you up for failure. …And the fact that such a cautious creator had revealed their true form so easily was unsettling. Was that even the real body?
For someone who governs struggle, would they really mimic such a simplistic older sister? And why haven’t they returned to this world? The reason they won’t return might be…
Well, there’s no use worrying about Shizen. She’s herself. She’s surely scheming something, but she won’t share it with me. Besides, I need to focus on my own matters first.
Recalling the creator’s form when the thoughts were exchanged, Tia pressed her chest together, pondering. “Who had the bigger chest, me or Shizen? Mine’s definitely better shaped,” she self-praised with a sly grin. “At least the big sister wouldn’t stand a chance.”
“Now then, Shizen said I could play around, but what should I do~? She probably wants me to be ‘eaten’ by Sakimori—hopefully in the fun way, but probably not, huh…”
Though she now resembled a little girl, her true nature remained the same as when she was a mass of flesh. She would study, observe, and use everything as nourishment. Even allies were consumed without hesitation if it benefited her.
Currently, there was a gap in power between Amano Sakimori and herself. It wasn’t insurmountable, but enough to make facing all of Sakimori’s allies at once a losing proposition.
Which is why she smiled wryly, thinking. And that’s exactly why I probably can’t win.
He’s a man who makes the impossible possible, defeating opponents thought undefeatable. She might just lose easily, after all.
“Waiting deep inside a dungeon in Hakata to ambush and defeat Amano Sakimori… Nah, that’d probably end with me yelling ‘What a fool!’ as I die.”
Enemies grow stronger. Incredibly fast, too. And, above all else, they’re cunning. Tia prided herself on her intellect, but she knew she’d lose in sheer craftiness.
If Tia were defeated, she had a strong feeling that Sakimori would show no mercy. He wasn’t the type of harem protagonist who hesitated to kill girls or offered them a hand in kindness.
If her core survived, perhaps she could be resurrected and quietly join Sakimori’s team, as some of his other allies had.
But Shizen hadn’t created Tia from a core. Tragically, she’d been made as a regular human. Death would mean the end. Sakimori likely couldn’t, and wouldn’t, revive her.
Given that, Tia’s strategy was set.
“First goal: exploit an opening. I haven’t gathered enough emotions to create a dungeon yet, so no little monster skirmishes like in a tokusatsu hero show. I’ll aim for the highest-rank dungeon.”
Clenching her fists in determination, Tia plotted her victory. Judging by how they’d left the S-rank dungeon in Hakata City untouched, Sakimori likely thought it beneath him. Defeating him would require nothing less than a top-rank dungeon.
“Second goal: get close to Amano Sakimori. If I apologize properly, he might spare me. My cute face, voluptuous body, and innocent, heroine-like charm—no man could resist…”
She stopped mid-thought, realizing this too felt like a setup for failure. The worst kind of pattern.
Tia, a girl as sharp as she was a copy of Shizuku, thought about ways to survive while plotting Sakimori’s downfall.
“Strength-wise, I’m already the strongest among humans, but that’s not enough to run the world. So, there’s only one thing to do.”
Resolute, her eyes gleamed with determination as she clenched her fists tightly and declared:
“I’ll quietly work for the Amatsugahara Corporation or help out as an adventurer. Then, I’ll casually show off my competence to Sakimori—maybe even my other talents at night. If he starts to hesitate, that’s a win. A romance between enemies is the ultimate victory flag. His sister might end up just as the childhood-friend trope. Hehe. Besides, I need to gather more human emotions for now, so that’ll do.”
Confident in her plan, Tia shrugged off any concerns about being un-enemy-like. “Who cares? This works for me,” she thought as she leapt off the iron fence.
Landing gracefully on the ground, she began walking. “First stop, the Adventurers’ Guild,” she murmured, setting her plan into motion.
