Chapter 26 Sun Moon Mountain Range 10
“Let go,” Ye Mo calmly ordered the young man, her gaze unwavering and her expression stoic.
She wasn’t fond of this situation at all.
Ye Mo trusted Yilin and Yiluo, accepting their concerns and feeling protective over them since they had been together for more than two years. She allowed herself to show a more self-willed, childlike side in their presence.
However, in front of a stranger…
Her eyes narrowed dangerously as a surge of power emanated from her hand, knocking the young man’s hand away forcefully.
Startled and bewildered, the young man stared at Ye Mo in disbelief, wondering how a child could possess such strength.
“Why are you still here?” Yiluo, who had entered the cave, noticed the young man’s lingering presence and scolded him. She then dragged him outside.
“Miss is quite formidable; she’s not as delicate as you might think. Staying here will only disrupt Miss’s plans,” Yiluo admonished the young man.
The young man hesitated, as if wanting to say something, but ultimately chose to remain silent.
With the two of them gone, Ye Mo continued her exploration of the cave. As she ventured deeper, she noticed that the toxic mist was becoming denser.
Closing her eyes, she extended her spiritual power to carefully sense her surroundings.
Her spiritual power detected an anomaly nearby, prompting Ye Mo to open her eyes abruptly. She tapped her toes and swiftly moved toward the source.
Just as she was about to reach her destination, a small white ball suddenly emerged from behind a flower, accompanied by a cloud of blue smoke.
Seeing the blue smoke, Ye Mo’s expression changed. She swiftly rotated in mid-air, putting distance between herself and the white ball.
As it landed on the ground, Ye Mo observed the small white creature. It resembled a fox but was different. It was petite, white, and incredibly cute.
However, the blue smoke surrounding it made it evident that it wasn’t a pet, but rather a poisonous being.
With a faint smile, Ye Mo addressed the creature, “Is this your cave?”
“No,” the creature responded simply.
“You can talk?” Ye Mo was astonished. “Warcraft can speak…”
The Ring Spirit had mentioned that powerful warcraft had the ability to communicate.
“Yes,” the creature confirmed. “I can speak. I’ve been able to speak since I was born.”
“Why are you here?” Ye Mo inquired, looking around the cave. “I thought this was your cave, but you said it wasn’t.”
“This isn’t my cave,” the creature replied. “My parents aren’t here either. I can’t find them. Why can you see me?” It looked at Ye Mo with wide blue eyes. “I’m invisible now. When I turn invisible, ordinary humans can’t see me. But why can you see me?”
Ye Mo twitched the corner of her mouth and cast a glance at the Phoenix Ring on her finger. She then looked back at the creature and replied, “It’s probably because of this ring.”
“Ring?” The creature’s blue eyes shifted thoughtfully before looking at Ye Mo. “Alright, here’s the deal. You can see me, and I’ve been stuck in this mountain for a long time. How about you let me accompany you? I can be very poisonous, but I won’t harm the people around you. I usually suppress my poison, only releasing it when you ask me to. Just give it a try.”
