Aliens visiting Earth shared a life-changing technology. A quantum teleportation and transmutation network—replacing the need to harvest food, energy, and water.

It enabled humans to colonize the entire solar system.

An alien programmer hurried to his commander. “Sir, sir, there’s a problem!”

“Yes, go on …”

“We’ve encountered a serious glitch.”

“Just restore the backup. What’s the big deal?”

“That’s the problem, sir. It erased the backup too, see.”

A holographic projection showed the solar system’s now eight isolated and disconnected planets.

“Do you mean?”
