Chapter 142: The Unruly Power Of NULL
YYPOD roared, trying to dodge Kevin's infinite barrage of punches. Roaring repeatedly over and over, Nadia couldn't go to sleep in peace. "I'm literally about to die from major blood loss! Can I not die in peace!?" Suddenly, Kevin's ankles had been fully invaded by the red substance. "Shit! I don't have much time left… the entire city is an ocean, and if I don't get you guys off me soon, I'll kill you both without knowing!" Pulling up his sleeves that were attached to his white hoodie, Kevin turned the knob on his watch. "I still don't know what the heck this is supposed to do, but if it helps me, I'll use it! Let's do this!"
45 years ago, a lively town named United City was one of the top 5 tourist attractions in the country of Nahata, being known not only for its overwhelming beauty, but its nice townsfolk as well. Later into that year, however, an unknown creature appeared, sparking a battle between Jayden, who was now the president of Crystal City, and the same people in the story. Although they stood victorious, the book about their travels was published the following year - but right after their achievement, United City was wiped off the map for a reason that sat mysterious for ages, making many young people that read the book assume that it was only a legend despite what Jayden said. But now that Gerald and the rest of Team ENTITY were the first to learn about this, they have to help the civilization escape this sacred entity before it's too late! Welcome to the LOST CITY.
FLASHBACK
Xavier smiled. "Kevin, take this." he said, handing him a watch. Kevin, accepting the gift, looked at it in question. "What the hell is this?" Rian interrupted. "That's a power extender! It helps your speed, strength, and if you need help, call us with it!" Kevin smiled. "So basically, I can call you guys for assistance via the watch?" Kaelan smiled. "Yep!" Kevin, star struck by the amazing watch, smiled. "Thanks, guys! I'll be sure to keep this safe!" Xavier, summoning his phantom, waved to Kevin and his team.
PRESENT
Pressing a button on the watch, Kevin's hand was set on fire, but a black hole sat on his hand with binary text engraved in it. "Does this do any damage?" he thought to himself, getting ready to throw another punch at the enemy. Scoffing, Nadia looked at Kevin's hand. "Y-You don't know what that power is, Kevin? Don't use it so lightly if you want to stand a chance around YYPOD!" Zoning back in, Kevin turned his head to Nadia. "So, what's this setting on the watch my friends gave me? I remember receiving it when I left the World Summit…"
"That right there is a weapon called NULL. Although you're the only person in the world right now that possesses the power, it is known for making the most powerful people two times more powerful than usual, being able to destroy an entire city like this one in one blow if you used it with your full potential. Last time I saw daylight, I heard that it was on the loose from its home in the Land Of Trila, being stolen by the infamous Romanti clan."
Gerald scoffed. "Romanti is my last name!" he exclaimed. Before Nadia could look at Gerald in awe, however, Kevin had accessed a blind spot (the stomach) of the entity, immediately impaling it with the black hole he held in his hands. "Die!" he exclaimed, continuing to try and impale it's stomach to find Gerald and Samantha. Right then and there, the entity was sent into the ground.
Kevin scoffed. "It's… SO EFFECTIVE!" he exclaimed, looking at the giant hole that was now in his stomach. Rolling her eyes, Nadia looked at Kevin. "I told you it was overwhelmingly powerful. Maybe next t-"
One fatal mistake had been made. The red substance invading Kevin's body was now up to his shoulders, about to invade his body completely. "Get off my shoulders before you DIE!" Kevin exclaimed, throwing his friends into the city below. "I'll catch up with you later, you guys did well inside the entity already!" Now that everyone was off Kevin's shoulders, all he could hear was the entity's heartbeat and infinite roars.
Thump.
Thump.
Thump.
The substance had fully taken over Kevin's body.
