Chapter 168: The “Failed” Sinking
EXTRA! EXTRA! HEAR ALL ABOUT IT! MULTIPLE BATTLESHIPS WIPED OUT BY UNKNOWN FUGITIVES! GAINING UPDATES LIVE, BE SURE TO STAY TU…"
All the streets on the mainland were met with this voice from the newspaper carrier, who was shaken up by the situation too. "TRILAN SOLDIERS WIPED OUT FATALLY AFTER POWERFUL ATTACK!" he exclaimed once again, attracting hundreds of pedestrians that were on the sidewalk. Under all the commotion with the grown ups, however, sat a small child who rushed in the line to get a newspaper. "I wanna see! I wanna see!" he exclaimed, jumping up and down repeatedly. "Are they related to the Bandit Of Liberation…?" he thought to himself, reading the front page for the very first time.
"These… are… visitors…?" he thought to himself, scared of what might happen. "Are we gonna die, or is Trila gonna become a food bank like Mom said it would be before she died…?"
72 years ago, a new land was publicly ready to be established, also known as the Land Of Trila. After an unexpected encounter with an entity 30 years into its established existence, however, the founder of Trila died unexpectedly, being avenged by Uma Sahua, who was arguably the worst president of the land. Although the allegations still resurface and nobody knows the truth about what is currently happening on the islands and dangerous waters of Turia, Kevin and his friends plan to get to the bottom of this situation. Will they be able to get to the bottom of the allegations casted on Uma, or would they die on the islands? This is ENTITY VOLUME 9: LAND OF TRILA; PART 1.
The "Failed" Sinking
Samantha smiled, looking at all of the boys. "Thank you for finally letting me out of that trapdoor!" she exclaimed, crying in happiness.
But, nobody dared to explain what the commotion was literally 15 minutes ago. "So, how was it without me? Did you guys almost die in any shape or form?" Breaking out a cold sweat, Noah handed her a Peppy Cola. "Nope - definitely not."
Samantha smiled at everyone, chewing up the food she was lended. "Thanks for the food, Kevin." she muttered with her mouth open, continuing to chew. "Hey, why are you idiots staring at me so intensely? Did you all do something bad!?"
Everyone smiled. "No… we didn't."
Before they could do anything else, however, the new newspaper dropped in the courtyard of the ship. "Fuck!" Kevin thought to himself. Leading all of the boys to another spot, they all huddled up. "Treat Samantha like a queen - massage her, do anything just to distract her from reading the damn newspaper! Gerald, you can even rub her feet! BUT JUST DON'T FUCKING LET HER TOUCH THE NEWSPAPER! I'll stall for you guys!" Kevin whispered, picking up the newspaper. And, sure enough, they had made the front page once again. Running up to his room, Kevin locked the door and turned off his light.
"Samantha! How are you?" Gerald asked politely, sitting down right next to her. Suddenly, he was embraced by multiple kisses and hugs, not being able to move for an entire five minutes. "I missed you, my baby! We're gonna have so much fun in Trila before the battle, baby! You're gonna be mine, and I'll kill anyone who gets in our wa-"
"Sooo, Samantha, how was the trapdoor?" Alex asked politely. "It was the most terrible experience I've ever had in my life, Alex." Samantha replied. "And you're the reason why I got stuck in it to begin with!"
"Ooooooooookay then." Alex muttered.
Kevin scoffed. "Everything regarding the attack we executed is in the newspaper - now the Trilan government knows about us, AND Samantha's gonna find out!" Setting the newspaper on his bedside table, Kevin stormed out of the room and looked at everyone else. Suddenly, he dodged a pan thrown by Alex that was supposed to be targeted toward Michael. "What the hell, guys!? I just had to hide the ne- i mean new Forrest figurine I stole from Gerald last night!"
Gerald broke a cold sweat, fire blooming from his feet. "You took my figurine, Kevin?"
Everyone stood silent. "Maybe…" Kevin muttered, thinking a fight was about to begin. Gerald smiled. "It's alright, Kevin! As long as you don't break it into pieces, I'll let you have it until we get back ho-"
"Has the daily newspaper arrived on the ship yet?" Samantha asked, looking around the courtyard. Kevin rushed over to his door. "N-No! Definitely not!" he exclaimed, making sure she couldn't see his bed. Suddenly, Samantha pushed Kevin over, opening the door. "THATS INVASION OF PRIVACY!" he exclaimed, rushing over to the newspaper. But in a matter of seconds, it was too late.
"You guys…."
The boys watched Samantha in horror.
