Chapter 3: ~Chapter 2: The Beginning Of A Journey! Off To ENTITY!~
~Sword Graveyard, 3 hours later~
The wind blew as the trio walked around the Sword Graveyard, ready to depart Crystal City. Kevin looks around, excited but scared to go to ENTITY. "I'm starting to have second thoughts…" he said to Samantha and Gerald. Gerald, who was more uphill than Kevin, looked down at him. "Come on, Kevin! If we die, we already signed our wills!" Kevin sighed, as he followed his friends.
The trees that bordered the Sword Graveyard stood for tens of miles. This large sheet of jungle was also known as The Winding Jungle. Here, many accidents have happened. Only 50% of people had made it out alive from this hellish jungle. But Samantha, Kevin, and Gerald were willing to break the system.
Walking through the dead leaves of the jungle, Kevin looked around. "This is bigger than I expected…" He said. Looking back at his friends, getting through easily, Kevin begins to think. "Maybe this trip won't be as bad as I thought it would be…" He said to himself.
Would the boy be mistaken?
Samantha scoffs, finally arriving at a landmark of the jungle. "Here's the abandoned base of the Snakes'..." Kevin and Gerald look at each other. The wind, which held a newspaper that looked 5 years old, flew up to Kevin's face. "What's that?" Samantha says, looking back at the boys. Gerald pulls the newspaper off of Kevin's face, then reads out loud.
"FREEBIRDS INFILTRATE THE SNAKES' BASE: NOWHERE TO BE FOUND"
Gerald throws it. "Not useful!" He says, walking away. But Kevin had a different intention. He picked up the paper, and put it in his pocket. Getting deeper into the forest, Kevin heard the sound of a deer. "I think a deer is 50 feet away from us…" Kevin says to his friends. Gerald looks around, listening to Kevin's words. "Yeah… Samantha, do you hear that?" A few seconds later, the deer runs past them, holding onto the strap of Geralds bag, which pulls him away. "Gerald!" Kevin screamed, running to catch up to him. Samantha followed, but also felt that the deer was leading everyone somewhere… Soon, the deer stops and drops Gerald. Samantha and Kevin finally catch up to Gerald. "I'm glad you're okay!" Samantha says. But beyond them was a huge mountain… Gerald got back up and opened his backpack, pulling out a map. "This is Mystic Mountain," he says. Mystic Mountain was also a shortcut to ENTITY. Samantha and Kevin look at Gerald. "Did the deer lead us here on purpose, or did it just happen to be a coincidence..?" Kevin thought to himself. Hesitant, Kevin started scaling the mountain. His friends followed.
The mountain was steep, with thousands of trees engulfing it. Using a compass, Samantha looks up, thinking about what was happening back at Crystal City.
It had been 2 hours since the trio left. Michael, walking through an ominous alleyway, looks up. Two hooded figures walk up to him, both holding firearms. Michael looks at the two hooligans. "What the hell do you want now?" He asked. One man with puffy, red hair responded to him. "I heard your little friends went ghost hunting in an abandoned town!" He said, laughing and holding up his gun. The other man, who looked like a twin to the other man, stayed quiet, and looked shy. Michael gave the men a despicable look. "I'm not letting you guys slide today. Get the hell out of here." One man stopped him. "Hey! We aren't here to fight." He hands Michael 2 files that have a giant label "CLASSIFIED" on them. "What are these?" Michael asked, opening them up.
He froze.
The man who held up the gun at Michael looked at him. "We couldn't stop them. ENTITY is too dangerous for them, so we have to save them immediately."
Michael looks at the files, horrified. Entity wasn't also a ghost town, it was filled to the brink with the most dangerous monsters ever.
Meanwhile with Kevin, Gerald, and Samantha…
The trees rustle as the trio marches up the mountain, ready to catch some ghosts. "I heard that in ENTITY, it's always night." Gerald said to Samantha. Kevin looked up. He could see the ghastly island that never saw the light of day before his eyes. Shortly after, the three of them heard weird noises coming from further away, descending the mountain to meet them. "Get out your plasma guns!" Kevin screamed, clicking his gun, ready to strike.
But it wasn't a ghost. It was just a harmless cat.
Samantha looks at the cat, with a cute look on her face. "AWWWWWW!" She says. "This cat is so CUTEEE!" The boys look at her, unamused. "We're not keeping that cat. It may be dangerous," Gerald said. Samantha begged. "PLEASEEEEEEE?" Kevin kept quiet as Samantha swooned over Gerald, begging him. "Fine!" Kevin says. "We can keep the cat." Kevin scoffed, looking at the cat. "I don't feel comfortable with this decision, but I guess we could keep it…" The cat looked at Gerald, licking him over and over. Then, Gerald gave the cat to Samantha. "Keep it safe," he said, handing it to her. Now they have arrived.
It was the gate to the haunted city, known as ENTITY.
