Chapter 164: Chapter 164: Fighting the Red Team Again
"Ahh, I've been waiting for this moment for so long," Mordred declared, her voice brimming with anticipation.
In the quiet outskirts of the city, Artoria and Mordred stood opposite each other, both clad in their full battle armor.
[Name: Mordred; Class: Saber; Gender: Female; Alignment: Chaotic Neutral.]
[Strength: B+; Endurance: A; Agility: B; Mana: B; Luck: D; Noble Phantasm: A.]
[Class Skills: Magic Resistance B, Riding B.]
[Personal Skills: Instinct B, Mana Burst A, Battle Continuation B, Charisma C-.]
[Noble Phantasms: Secret of Pedigree (C, Anti-Unit(Self), Range: 0, Targets: 1), Clarent (C, Anti-Unit, Range: 1, Targets: 1), Clarent Blood Arthur: Rebellion Against My Beautiful Father (A+, Anti-Army, Range: 1-50, Targets: 800).]
Chihiro glanced at the data Mordred displayed, raising an eyebrow. "The Noble Phantasm is A+, not A++ like in FGO. Huh."
Artoria, meanwhile, regarded Mordred seriously. "I never thought we would duel again, Sir Mordred. But why? Why are you so determined to challenge me once more?"
"Stop with the nonsense! There's no why!" Mordred shouted as she lunged forward, her sword aimed directly at Artoria.
"I won't lose to you this time!"
Clang!
Their swords collided, the sound ringing through the air as their duel began.
Artoria's flawless swordsmanship clashed against Mordred's raw, powerful strikes. One was precise and refined, the other wild and ferocious. Their blades moved so quickly that they seemed to blur, the flashes of steel dazzling to anyone watching.
Though the two appeared evenly matched on the surface, the truth was that Mordred was at a clear disadvantage.
Statistically, Mordred was completely outclassed. Aside from her slightly higher Strength at B+, her Endurance, Luck, and other attributes couldn't compare to Artoria's current capabilities.
And this wasn't even considering the fact that Artoria was far stronger now. Under Chihiro's Mastery, Artoria was operating at her peak potential with an ample supply of mana.
Her stats now read: Strength: A, Endurance: A, Agility: A, Mana: A, Luck: A+, Noble Phantasm: A++.
It was a perfect, all-A status sheet.
If Artoria had been fighting seriously, Mordred wouldn't have lasted this long.
"Damn it," Mordred growled, frustration mounting as she realized her father's overwhelming power. "Why does Father feel even stronger now than when alive?!"
Anger and disbelief welled up within her. Was Artoria hiding her true strength back then? Or was she just pitying her?
Fueled by her frustration, Mordred's strikes grew more ferocious, her strength amplified by sheer willpower.
Boom!
Red mana erupted from her sword as she unleashed her Mana Burst, pouring all her energy into overpowering Artoria.
But Artoria, with her natural instincts honed to perfection, detected the shift in Mordred's mana. She released her own Mana Burst at the same time, meeting Mordred's attack head-on.
Their swords clashed with a deafening explosion, the impact so powerful that the ground beneath them cracked and sent debris flying into the air.
---
"Is this really King Arthur? She's incredible," Sisigou muttered as he watched from the sidelines. It was clear to him that Mordred was completely outmatched.
---
"Master, we have incoming enemies," Hassan of the Hundred Faces reported as she materialized beside Chihiro.
Her numerous clones had been scouting the area and relayed troubling news: a familiar foe was closing in.
Not that her report was necessary. Everyone could hear the commotion.
"Hahaha! Destroy the oppressors with my love!"
A booming laugh echoed through the night as a massive figure barreled toward Chihiro's group.
It was Spartacus.
However, he looked far different from the last time they'd faced him.
Gone were his simple iron shorts. Now, Spartacus was fully armed. A heavy helmet covered his head, cage-like armor protected his body, and his ankles bore iron shackles with massive iron balls attached—symbols of his past as a slave. His weapon had also changed, switching from a mace to a massive dagger.
"He's gone from zero breaks to three breaks," Chihiro muttered dryly, referencing Spartacus's upgraded appearance.
The timing of the Red Team's arrival was impeccable, almost too perfect. Clearly, they had been keeping tabs on Chihiro's group and struck as soon as night fell.
"Master, leave this one to me,"
Seeing the aggressive Spartacus charging toward them, Diarmuid immediately stepped forward and requested to engage him.
Chihiro nodded. "He's all yours. Spartacus is tough, but your Noble Phantasm is perfect for dealing with him."
"Leave it to me, Master," Diarmuid said confidently before dashing toward Spartacus with his twin spears in hand.
Though he typically favored a combination of one spear and one sword, he chose to wield both spears this time. Against a brute like Spartacus, dual spears offered greater precision and versatility.
"Rebellion is my life! Oh, oppressor, I will crush you to pieces with my blade!" Spartacus bellowed as he charged at Diarmuid, his booming voice filled with righteous fury.
Diarmuid, however, wasn't foolish enough to engage him head-on. He nimbly evaded Spartacus's attacks, moving with grace and speed. His red spear, Moralltach, slashed through Spartacus's armor, while his yellow spear, Beagalltach, inflicted an incurable wound on the rebel gladiator.
Yet Spartacus barely flinched. The damage from Diarmuid's spears was shallow, more of an annoyance than a threat.
"This guy's durability is no joke," Diarmuid muttered to himself. But he wasn't discouraged. His strikes had been tests, meant to probe his opponent's defenses. Now that he had confirmed Spartacus's weaknesses, he began strategizing how to bring him down.
---
From a distance, a loud voice rang out. "O Brahma, cover the earth!"
Chihiro's eyes widened as a red beam of light shot toward him.
"Damn it, it's Karna's Brahmastra!"
Reacting quickly, Chihiro raised his hand and activated the Qillin Armor, forming a red protective barrier around himself just in time to block the attack.
This was a defensive ability of the Qillin Seal. Even without wearing the full armor, as long as Chihiro carried the Seal, he could summon its protective shield at will.
Karna, now descending from the sky in his golden armor and wielding his radiant spear, looked at Chihiro with calm, unshaken eyes.
"It failed?" Karna murmured, his tone devoid of frustration.
Chihiro stared back, his expression grim. Karna's calm demeanor only made him more dangerous.
"So even you, Karna, have stooped to sneak attacks," Chihiro said coldly. "Let me guess, this was Kotomine Shirou's idea?"
Karna offered a slight bow of acknowledgment. "This is all to ensure the success of our mission. My apologies for the methods used."
Without wasting another moment, Karna charged at Chihiro, spear in hand.
Chihiro activated his Class Card, summoning the God Force. With his own long weapon in hand, he met Karna's attack head-on.
The clash between the two warriors was immediate and intense. Their weapons blurred as they traded strikes, the air ringing with the sound of steel against steel. Sparks flew with every collision, illuminating the battlefield in bursts of light.
Hassan of the Hundred Faces moved to assist Chihiro, but he raised a hand to stop her.
"No," Chihiro said firmly. "Stay back. Karna would tear through your clones like paper. Don't waste your strength here."
Hassan hesitated for a moment before stepping back.
Meanwhile, the First Emperor, observing the battle, turned his gaze to Gilgamesh. The golden king had summoned his throne and was sitting on it, watching the chaos unfold with a detached smirk.
"You're just going to sit there?" the First Emperor said disdainfully.
Gilgamesh didn't respond, nor did he move.
The First Emperor scoffed, drawing his blade. "Useless," he muttered before stepping forward to join the fray.
The First Emperor's sword, the Qiankun Universe Edge, was a broad, dark blade forged from meteorite iron. Despite its imposing size, it was deceptively light and extraordinarily sharp, capable of slicing through steel as if it were paper.
Though summoned as a Berserker, the First Emperor hadn't forgotten his mastery of swordsmanship. Under his control, the Qiankun Universe Edge seemed to come alive, striking at Karna with precision and ferocity.
With the First Emperor's intervention, the pressure on Chihiro was significantly reduced.

Elsewhere on the battlefield, Iskandar had been preparing to join the fight when a loud roar from the sky caught his attention.
A chariot descended from the heavens, landing directly in front of him. Standing atop it was Achilles, his armor gleaming in the moonlight.
"Hahaha! King of Conquerors, I've come to challenge you!" Achilles declared, his voice brimming with excitement. "Let's settle things once and for all. Don't treat me like you did yesterday."
"Hahaha!" Iskandar laughed heartily, summoning his Gordius Wheel. "Very well! Achilles, great hero of legend, I accept your challenge with the utmost respect!"
The battlefield around them transformed. The once dark plain shifted into a golden desert, the blazing sun high above them.
Iskandar's Ionioi Hetairoi had been activated.
"Ahhhhh!!!"
The roar of an army echoed as Iskandar's soldiers materialized, their weapons gleaming as they assembled behind their king.
Achilles grinned, holding the Diatrekhōn Astēr Lonkhē in one hand and Akhilleus Kosmos in the other. "So these are your men? Not bad. Not bad at all."
Despite his casual tone, Achilles's excitement was evident. He hadn't fought against a legion in ages, and the sight of Iskandar's army filled him with nostalgia.
"Achilles, prepare yourself!" Iskandar bellowed. "You face the respect of future admirers!"
With that, Iskandar's army charged forward, their battle cries filling the air.
"Hahaha! Come on!" Achilles roared in response, his spear gleaming as he leapt into the fray.

Meanwhile, outside the immediate battle…
Of the four Red Team Servants, only Atalanta had yet to make her appearance.
She wasn't absent, however. She was simply preoccupied.
Atalanta was hunting.
Her target? Gilles de Rais, better known as Bluebeard.
Ever since their encounter, eliminating the deranged Caster had become an obsession for her.
But despite her efforts, Bluebeard was nowhere to be found.
Unknown to her, Gilles had been following Chihiro in spirit form, bound by a Command Spell that prevented him from leaving his Master's side.
Yet, as soon as Chihiro's battle with Karna began, Gilles had vanished.
