Chapter 30: Chapter Thirty – ‘Every which way’
"Of course, I am going Rico and I will gladly bring Jeanette." The older man took her hand and kissed the back of it.
"Bene, bello da sentire (fine, good to hear). I must be going now, see you then Ramon. Arrivederci (bye)." Jeanette watched the man leave before she turned her gaze back to Ramon.
"You don't have to take me, you know. Just because you told him doesn't mean anything."
"Rico is a long-standing member of the bank, along with a well-known name in all of Rome. He is quite the businessman and he hosts a yearly gala and anyone who is anyone in Rome always goes. Rico will seek me out and if he does not see you, he will ask where you are. If I had a problem with taking you, I would not have said you were going."
"Ramon, that is very sweet of you, but I have no dress for such an occasion; it wasn't like I was planning on attending any fancy galas when I packed for my vacation. And as much as I would love to go, I just don't have the means to get a dress like that. That's well out of my price range."
"Sciocchezza (nonsense)."
"I'm sorry, what did you say?"
"I said nonsense." Jeanette frowned as she stared at the man who sat across from her in the little café. She didn't want to seem ungrateful for everything that he had done for her, but she wasn't going to allow him to start buying her clothes, not like that way, or any way actually. And it wasn't like ball gowns could be packed into a suitcase.
"Ramon, it's not. How do you expect me to get a dress for something like that? And don't you dare say that you will buy it because I will make a big scene right here."
"I was not going to suggest that. You may think I do not know you but I know enough and you would not like that but you would not deny a free gift, right?" Jeanette eyed him. It was obvious he knew something she didn't, just like it was obvious that he had some type of game going on.
"Depends; a free gift from whom?"
"My sister."
"Pardon?" She was almost sure she hadn't heard him right. She hadn't met his family, other than those two times. Yet, why did he think they would give her anything for free?
"My sister." His smile was clearly stating just how much he was enjoying this and she didn't like it. "The one who has that shop? You know the one I mentioned. She would have extra dresses, one's people would not want after all. Mostly she tears the fabric up and reuses it but some dresses she gives away for free. And the fact that you, again, kept another sister out of trouble means that she will want to say thank you anyway. But if you do not believe me, you can ask her tomorrow night because she will be there. However, I do know her and she will agree." Jeanette closed her eyes at that. She kept trying to push that out of her mind and he kept pulling it out.
"You won't let me out of it anyway, would you?"
"Dinner with the family, no, not really, so you can stop trying." He smiled at her which she finally returned. "Are you ready to go?" Jeanette took one more final sip of her coffee and nodded. She would sorely miss the coffee; nothing was this good back in the States.
-----
Three hours later they walked back into the hotel room and Jeanette sighed. She had no clue how she was going to fit all the stuff she bought and it wasn't like it was going home to anyone. Again, she wasn't close to anyone in her family and they probably wouldn't appreciate anything she got for them. So, most of it was hers and she loved every piece she got but New York wasn't known for its big apartments so it wasn't like she had a lot of room either. But she didn't care; she would figure that all out later.
She sat her bags down and finally sat on the couch, propping her feet on the coffee table. She watched him as he walked into the little kitchen area and smiled as he came back with two bottles of water and handed her one.
"Thanks."
"You look tired."
"Well, someone has kept me busy since I actually landed in Rome and then gave me some hot sex over the last 24 hours so yeah, I may be kind of tired."
"In that case," Ramon said as he sat down, opening his own water, "how about we watch a movie so you can rest?" Jeanette threw her bottle cap at him and he chuckled; although a movie sounded great if that meant she got to curl up to him.
"A movie should work." She kicked her shoes off and curled her feet under her while he picked a movie out and wrapped his arm around her.
-----
As the sun broke over the horizon, Jeanette was up snapping pictures of it while Ramon was fast asleep still. In fact, she should have been as well as she thought over their night. Never before in her life had she had such an intense night of lovemaking. And talk about breaking in any and every location. Yeah, her mind would be reliving it over and over again for ages on end.
Halfway through the movie, she could feel his eyes on her and she glanced over at him. He had this look of pure, unashamed desire lurking in those brown depths. And she felt the shivers race through her. He had cupped her chin, his thumb barely brushing against her lower lip as he pulled her in for a kiss. From that moment onward the movie was forgotten; it became background noise to her cries and lights to flash over their heated skin.
He had stripped her there on the couch but he quickly lifted her up and made her brace herself against the wall while he took her from behind. His hands had roamed over her while his lips kept teasing paths along her neck and she watched every little bit. Even now, at the thought of that, she was getting wet all over again. If there was ever anything she would have wanted to record, it would have been that.
And before they could finish there, he pulled out, lifted her again and took her outside. And with her legs locked around his thighs and her back against a glass door, he entered her again, that time more slowly. She already had rolls of pleasure through her so she knew her cries were loud. And she had no care in the world who heard her or who even saw her. Her mind was in such a passion filled haze, she had no worries.
He tried silencing her with a kiss when the lights next door to their terrace came on, but that didn't work. So he took her inside and laid her on the kitchen table. His hands had cupped her breasts tightly as he pounded into her; a need like no other fueling them on. He was rougher for there was more hair pulling, more biting and he even had his hand around her neck briefly but he was still gentle in a way that she hadn't felt with him before.
And when they were both finally spent, he had taken them both to the shower. And by the way, he was touching her and bathing her, she would have guessed that was a new thing for him as well. She wasn't certain why he would go so far out of his normal for her, but she liked it; he would make a wonderful husband someday. It was only after they were washing and he had her one more time under the waterfall shower head did he lift her up bridal style and take her wet body to his bed, where they both curled up and quickly fell asleep.
Jeanette looked over at his phone as the alarm went off and she sighed. Her trip to Venice was done. And there wasn't a piece of it that she wouldn't look back on and not smile. Well, truth be told that would really be any part of this vacation she would smile about; except for any mention or sighting of Sapphire. It never dawned on her that she would have to see her again; Italy was a pretty big place after all.
"Ready to go, cara mia?" Jeanette glanced at Ramon and all his nakedness and wanted to scream 'no', shove him back on the bed and have more hair pulling, earth shaking, loud cry making, unbelievable sex. But she couldn't because she had to meet his family. And she wasn't sure why that scared her more than anything else.
