Chapter 7: SURRENDER
The crowd scattered about while screaming, knocking into each other as they all tried to get away from the giant monster in front of them.
One of Sven's wings crashed into a building and the other one knocked of the newly mounted statue of Elsa, chipping the head off.
Anna's stood several steps back before stopping, breathing in short gasps while she stared at the monstrous creature.
"Sven…" she whispered.
She couldn't believe what she was seeing, not in her wildest dreams or wishes could she have thought that Sven, her reindeer friend was a…
DRAGON!
"Sven! You're a dragon?" Olaf scream- shouted in shock.
But the reindeer—- sorry, dragon, didn't seem to hear him.
Or rather—- Anna thought as she stopped Olaf from trying to go near to him—- he didn't take them as his friends at all anymore.
Kristoff stood confidently beside the dragon with a smug grin on his face.
"Still think I'm the man you fell in love with?"
Anna's heart shattered, finally.
She knew now that this was no misunderstanding.
The man she loved was gone and the person in front of her was someone she could no longer recognized.
Queen Anna's guards squeezed their hands down on the hilt of their swords, gripping them tightly till their knuckles turned white.
Their faces were pale and their legs were quivering, but they didn't move from the spot they stood at.
Kristoff cocked his head to the right and smirked.
His gentle look most of them had come to be familiar with wasn't there—- just a cruel look of arrogance.
"Look at you all," he sneered.
"Shaking like leaves in the winter forest. Do you really think you can stop me?"
One of the guards, Captain Lars, stepped forward, holding his sword up for all to see.
"We swore an oath to protect Queen Anna, and we will honor it to our last breath."
Kristoff's smirk deepened.
"Sven," he said casually, tipping his head lightly towards the dragon that stood by his side.
"Make them see reason."
The dragon snarled, flaring his nostrils as smoke and embers billowed from them while his eyes began to glow.
Opening his mouth, Sven blew out a thick torrent of fire, pouring and spreading it all over the guards.
The townsfolk screamed louder than before when they saw the fire begin to spread.
All of them abandoned their goods running for safety.
Groans and screams filled the environment echoed as the guards dove to the ground but some were too slow to escape from the flames.
The stench of burning flesh and charred stone soon started reaching the nose of those that were still nearby.
Anna stood watching helpessly and screamed.
"Kristoff! Stop this! Please!"
Kristoff looked at her,
"Surrender, Anna. Accept your place beneath me, or more will suffer."
