Game Of Thrones : Merchant of Two Worlds

Chapter 59: 59. Earning Millions, Big Purchases

The last time Jason sold a batch of gold coins to a collector, he made a lot of money.

But in the world of business, who knows the real truth?

The buyer, Boss Wang, pretended to complain about being broke, but when Jason stayed firm, he finally agreed to buy all the gold at 350 yuan per gram. Jason was pleased, though he knew that the chubby man across from him would still make a huge profit. It didn't bother him anymore.

The total weight of the 100 golden dragon coins was 3502.47 grams. At 350 yuan per gram, the final price came to 1,225,864.5 yuan. Boss Wang generously transferred 12,255,865 yuan to him, making Jason roll his eyes.

"Generous, huh?" Jason thought sarcastically. "Seems like we have different ideas of what generosity means."

He was tempted to ask if Boss Wang was even making any money, but decided against it.

After seeing the transfer on his ICBC account, Jason declined Boss Wang's invitation to dinner. Instead, he hailed a taxi and went back to his villa.

Once home, Jason searched online and found a paper factory in Zheng City. He called them to inquire about A4 and other paper sizes.

He learned that one sheet of A1 paper could be cut into eight A4 sheets, making it a versatile choice for different needs. Jason placed an order for 1 million sheets of A4 paper at 0.03 yuan per sheet, costing 30,000 yuan, and 100,000 sheets of A1 paper at 0.5 yuan per sheet, costing 50,000 yuan.

The factory agreed to deliver the order the same day since both parties were located in Zheng City. Jason paid a deposit, provided the address, and waited for the delivery at his warehouse, which wasn't far from his villa.

Next, Jason called Boss Ma, the owner of a soap factory, to place another order.

"Hello, Mr. Liu! How are you?" Boss Ma answered eagerly, his voice full of excitement.

"Boss Ma, I want to place an order for a million bars of soap. Can your factory handle it?" Jason asked directly, not wasting time.

"One million bars? No problem at all, Mr. Liu! You can trust me. We'll ensure top quality and fast production!"

Jason nodded. "I'm also ordering another 100,000 bars of toilet soap. I won't push you on price, but the quality must be flawless. If this goes well, there'll be even more orders in the future."

Hearing the size of the order and the possibility of future business, Boss Ma was thrilled. He assured Jason, "Mr. Liu, you can count on me! I've mortgaged my house and car to grow this business. We're aiming to create our own brand, and your orders will help us get there!"

Jason was a bit surprised. "Really? You plan to make your soap a regular brand and sell it in the market?"

"Yes, that's my goal!" Boss Ma replied with a serious tone.

"If you can pull it off, I'll keep working with you. Just to let you know, in the future, I may need tens of millions of bars of soap."

Boss Ma was overjoyed, convinced that Jason was his lucky charm. After their conversation, he rushed to the factory, hiring more staff and setting up three shifts to meet the order quickly and maintain quality.

Jason agreed to pay Boss Ma 0.5 yuan per bar, with a 150,000 yuan deposit upfront. The rest would be paid in installments after delivery.

After settling the soap deal, Jason contacted a gel pen manufacturer, ordering 100,000 gel pens and 1 million refills. Each pen cost 0.5 yuan, and each refill 0.05 yuan, totaling 100,000 yuan. Jason paid a deposit and would cover the full amount once the goods were delivered.

Altogether, his total expenses amounted to 730,000 yuan. With about 1.24 million yuan in his account, Jason still had 510,000 yuan left.

Sitting comfortably on the sofa in his villa, Jason felt proud of himself. This was just the beginning—there was much more to come.

Thinking of his family, Jason transferred 100,000 yuan to his mother via Alipay. He didn't send more, fearing his parents might worry.

As expected, less than ten minutes later, his mother called.

"Hey Mom, did you get the money I sent you?" Jason asked with a smile.

"Where did you get so much money all of a sudden? You don't earn that much in a month after rent, utilities, and food. Are you involved in something shady?" she asked, clearly concerned.

Jason scratched his head, prepared for this line of questioning. "Mom, relax! I haven't done anything illegal. I started a business with some friends, selling soap and other daily products. That's how I earned the money."

"Your friends?" she still sounded suspicious.

His father's voice boomed from the background, "Jason Liu, you better not be doing anything illegal! If you are, I'll break your legs when you get back!"

Jason sighed, frustrated but not surprised by his father's stern warning. Growing up, his father had always been strict, and their personalities clashed frequently. Both were stubborn, which led to plenty of conflicts.
