Chapter 23: Beat Down
The Elder Wand flashed and was replaced by Sky Scorcher. I released Tartarus and gave the spear a twirl as the primordial charged at me.
The impact of his blade striking my spear was jarring. The ground around my feet cracked from the weight of the blow. I pushed the sword back with the shaft of the spear and retaliated with dozens of strikes.
My spear was a blur of movement but Tartarus seemed to block all my attempts to turn him into a kabab.
I overextended and had to parry a slash that was almost too quick for me to see. The hit sent me skidding back several feet.
Dawn replaced Sky Scorcher in my hands, I lashed out with the glowing blade and smirked when I made contact with Tartarus' face drawing blood.
"First blood goes to me."
The smug tone of my voice enraged the primordial further. Tartarus roared and redoubled his effort to kill me.
I summoned another sword from my Inventory and began to dual wield. Tartarus clearly wasn't ready for an opponent using two swords. I landed another cut across his chest staining Dawn with silvery blood. I felt a wave of power shove me back and hissed in pain when Tartarus took the opportunity to cut me across the face when I was unbalanced. I felt blood run down my eye, nearly blinding one side of my vision. I threw the normal sword at the Primordial expecting him to dodge only to stare when he ignored it and let it sink into his gut. A look of surprise crossed his face and he bellowed in pain.
'Fucking idiot didn't even dodge. Must have thought that it wouldn't hurt him. Too bad for him all the swords in my inventory have been steeped in my power since they've been in there.'
Another wave of power pushed me back, I didn't counterattack. Instead I watched as Tartarus ripped the bloody sword out of his body and tossed it aside.
He wavered in place but steadied himself just as fast. His wound was already closing but so had mine. Only, my healing factor was courtesy of a Gamer system that may as well have been a hack.
This meant that I recovered much faster than he could injury me, or at least that was what I hoped it was. Tartarus had yet to use his godly powers on me and had been using a regular conjured sword. I didn't even know if he had a divine weapon.
"Look, we're going to be here forever at this rate Tarty Boy. Why don't you kindly fuck off back to wherever you came from so I don't have to kill you eh?"
"Stand and fight!" He roared as he charged once again.
I rolled my eyes and sighed, 'Looks like there's now way out of this then.'
Dawn shifted in my hand and turned into the Elder Wand. Tartarus hesitated when he saw the unassuming stick in my hand but pressed forward when I didn't do anything except watch him.
He closed in and raised his sword to bisect me. Raising the wand slowly I tested an experiment I had in my mind since I had read Harry Potter.
'Would the killing curse work on immortal beings? No time like the present…'
"Avada Kedavra."
My voice was steady, the spell fueled by my absolute loathing for fursuit wearing creeps. The bolt of green lightning burst from the tip of the wand shocking me at how potent the light looked.
Tartarus paused his attack and raised his sword to block the green spell. Only for it to go straight through the sword and hit him right in the chest. Tartarus screamed in pain and was thrown back. The primordial slammed into the ground unmoving. A quick Observe told me that he was still alive but was unconscious.
I raised the wand again and hit him with half a dozen more killing curses. Nothing changed, he stayed alive despite the number of killing curses I stuffed down his throat.
'Killing him would probably ruffle a lot of feathers. Probably unbalance a bunch of shit too… but fuck it. This fucker touched my mom. He doesn't get the privilege to remain alive.'
"Inanis Ignis."
I jumped back as flames so black that they began to absorb the residual light burst from the wand. The flames were so hot that the rock within a few feet immediately melted. I jumped back nearly a hundred feet and could still feel the heat.
Tartarus woke up with a start and began to scream as his body was slowly consumed by the void fire. His legs had already turned to ash, followed by his arms.
'These spells are really fucking broken.'
"You think?! You've killed a Primordial. There are bound to be consequences, my lord." Alruna ranted in my head.
Tartarus' screams turned into gurgles of pain as the flames spread to his body.
"He's not dead yet… he's still whining."
"Father? Can you teach me that spell?" Tiamat asked with genuine interest.
"Do not! Teach the dragon a spell that can destroy a divine beings body." Alruna shouted.
I winced at the noise in my head and sighed. "Maybe some other time Tia, I just made that spell on the spot. I have no clue how dangerous it is, much less if you can cast this sort of magic."
"Fine…" The dragon huffed.
I felt a wave of relief come from Alruna's tattoo form. I twirled the wand in my fingers and slowly made my way over to the still burning primordial.
"Cu- curse you, B-Blake Corvi- ARGGHHHHHH!"
The primordial screamed as I hit him with an overpowered torture curse. A flick of the wand dispelled the flames eating his body.
I hit him with the cruciatus again, this time holding it for nearly half a minute. I watched Tartarus spasm as the remains of his body was wracked with pain.
Being an immortal his mind would not fray so easily. I had no worries that prolonged exposure to the curse would damage him.
"Now that I have you here," I sneered down at the twitching aspect of the Pit. "Do you want to tell me how you came to be the father of my sister?"
Tartarus spat at my feet, seeing that he was still a twitching mess on the ground, the spit just dribbled down the side of his mouth mixing with the silver ichor slowly pooling around him.
"Suit yourself. CRUCIO. "
Tartarus screamed again as I pushed more of my MP into the curse. I held it for twice as long at nearly a minute, making the primordial begin to foam at the mouth.
"He won't be able to answer you if you keep torturing him you know."
I spun around to face Nyx as she materialized behind me. I lifted the curse and wrapped the primordial doing a cosplay of Anakin Skywalker in chains with a flick of the wand.
"Sister."
She smiled, I couldn't pick anything up from it though making me instantly weary.
"Brother, let's get back to my mansion. I sense you have a lot of questions."
"Not many, just several."
"Nevertheless, let's get back to my home so that we are uninterrupted." She easily replied.
"Fine, what about this douchebag?" I pointed at the wriggling Tartarus.
Nyx raised her eyebrow and stopped to think. "Killing that body will not kill him outright. Do what you will."
I smirked and pointed the wand again. Demonic fire leapt from the wooden point and consumed all that remained of Tartarus' avatar. Nyx seemed to be interested in my strange power as she led me to a portal that she conjured in front of us.
"After you."
"What? Don't trust me?" She grinned.
"Is the sky blue?" I snarked back.
"Well technically there is no sky down here but I digress."
