Genshin impact Group chat: The Redemption of The Heavenly Principles

Chapter 4: Chapter 4 . 'Funny person'

Belobog — Snowy Wilderness

Stelle frowned, pointing at the mysterious shape stuck in the snow. "Hey, butt! We see you! Come out!"

But the "butt" didn't respond.

Irritated, Stelle's frown deepened. Without a moment's hesitation, she grabbed a baseball bat and swung before anyone could stop her.

Thwack!

"Uuui!" A man shot up from the snow, clutching his backside. He winced, glaring at Stelle. "Fellow, why did you hit my butt?! Is it a crime to crawl in the snow these days? Sure, it's strange, but it doesn't warrant a hit!"

As he dusted himself off, his gaze swept across the group. When his eyes landed on Stelle, they widened in recognition. "But then again, how can I blame you? I mean, I caught you off guard—it had to happen. You could even say I deserved it, huh?"

He grinned, his tone shifting. "Besides, look at this! I've made a gallant group of new friends as a result!" He laughed awkwardly. "By the way… is Captain Gepard around? He's an old buddy of mine."

Elysia and March exchanged a glance, then giggled. "Who?"

The man blinked in surprise, taking a step back. "Wait... you're not Silvermane Guards?" His expression turned sheepish. "Why didn't you say so earlier! Turns out we're on the same side, after all."

He bowed dramatically. "Pleasure to meet you. The name's Sampo Koski!"

As the group introduced themselves, Phanes silently observed. From the start, he had been studying Sampo, and what he saw intrigued him. The man radiated a peculiar energy—destiny swirled around him in strange yet stable patterns, all connected to an unusual Path of Fun.

Finally, Phanes spoke. "I am Phanes. Nice to meet you, funny person."

Sampo's grin faltered for a split second before he regained his composure. "Excellent! I'll remember that name. I never thought I'd run into kindred spirits in this frozen wasteland." He sighed dramatically. "Business is bad these days, but fear not! Sampo Koski isn't interested in hoarding riches—there's plenty of treasure for everyone! So, let's get rich together! Haha!"

He leaned in conspiratorially. "Say, why don't we join forces? I've got reliable intel that most of the Silvermane Guards are deployed to the Frontline. This is a golden opportunity—"

"Wait." Stelle cut him off, her brow furrowing. "What business are you talking about?"

Sampo's face fell, and he sighed theatrically. "Ah, come now, friends. I can understand the mistrust, but there's no need for the charade." He placed a hand over his heart, speaking with exaggerated sincerity. "But then again, I know the rules. Vigilante work is the name of our profession. It's my fault for letting my enthusiasm get the better of me."

He straightened up, flashing a roguish smile. "Still, a meeting like this was written in the stars! Ask me anything you like, and I'll spill all the details. But let's keep it snappy—you're never more than ten feet from a Silvermane Guard."

Phanes, watching Sampo carefully, frowned. This man's words were layered, chosen with precision. His manner seemed casual, but his knowledge ran deep—too deep.

"Enough games," Phanes said coldly. "Is there a settlement nearby? Yes or no."

Sampo froze briefly, then smiled, a glint of nervousness in his eyes. "Yes."

Elysia clapped her hands together, her breath visible in the frosty air. "Since there's a settlement nearby, let's get moving. It's freezing out here!"

The group nodded in agreement, falling in line behind Sampo as he led the way.

As they walked, Phanes's gaze drifted toward Elysia. Specifically, his attention was drawn to the strange threads of destiny circling her. Unlike the others, the path obove her trying to connect to her shone brilliantly—almost blinding in its radiance. It was beautiful, innocent, and full of promise, as though the very universe had crafted it specifically for her.

Phanes thought to himself: It's as if this destiny was made for someone with her aura…

He tore his gaze away, unwilling to dwell further.

March, ever cheerful, broke the silence. "Hey, Dan Heng! Take a picture of me, Alice, and Stelle!"

Dan Heng glanced at her, clearly unimpressed. "Now's not the time for that," he muttered, sighing deeply. How does she always have this much energy?

March pouted, but before she could argue, Dan Heng shot a glance at Alice. His expression turned more exasperated. Great, he thought. Another March... just what I needed.

Alice, as bubbly as March, beamed and waved her hands in mock protest. "Oh, come on, Dan Heng! Lighten up! Pictures are memories in the making!"

He sighed again. Two of them. Why did she have to bring friends from that Strange group chat?

His thoughts shifted to Phanes. Dan Heng had been watching him since the start, and something about the man unsettled him. Every time Dan Heng looked at Phanes, his dragon blood stirred uneasily. It whispered a warning, one he couldn't ignore: This man… he's dangerous.

And probably a racist against dragons.

Phanes, noticing Dan Heng's wary glances, tilted his head in confusion. He couldn't fathom why the younger man kept looking at him like that.

Unbeknownst to Phanes he just obtained a new title...

[Phanes has obtained a new title: "Racist Against Dragons."]

Sampo: "Rule 7—never leave a footprint. I have my own special method, it's—"

But before he could finish, he was interrupted.

A shout echoed from ahead. "It's the suspect and his accomplices! Arrest them!"

Dan Heng's brows furrowed as he observed the situation. "Who are they?" he asked, glancing at Sampo.

Sampo's face went pale, his usual bravado slipping away. He nervously scratched the back of his head. "Uh, friend, you know how I mentioned the Silvermane Guards, right? Well, they're… they're..."

Looking back at them Sampo."help me old friends I dont wann be caught!." And moved behind them.

The Silvermane Guards began to rush toward them, weapons drawn. "Arrest them!"

Sampo's eyes widened in panic. "Now or never!" he shouted and bolted, kicking up snow as he fled without hesitation.

March called after him, frustrated. "Hey! Where are you going?!"

But Phanes, unmoved by Sampo's retreat, turned his gaze to the approaching Silvermane Guards. They charged with determination, but as they locked eyes with him, their steps faltered.

A chilling, oppressive aura emanated from Phanes. The guards suddenly stopped in their tracks, their faces pale, as if frozen by a wave of terror they couldn't comprehend.
