Genshin Impact: I Became The Son Of Greater Lord Rukkhadevata

Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Just Catching A Sea Dragon

"Boss, I have fulfilled my duty and safely returned with the Geo King's daughter."

Yu solemnly presented the little princess, holding her carefully in both hands as if offering a precious treasure.

Zhongli felt an odd mix of awkwardness and appropriateness at Yu's words. This guy had a peculiar way of addressing him—sometimes it was "My Lord," other times "Archon," "Morax," or even "Your Majesty" or "Geo King." And now, he had added "Boss" to the list.

As Zhongli extended his hands to take his child, a slight tremble caused him to lose his grip, and the princess slipped from his hands, landing on the ground with a thud.

"Morax! What kind of father are you?!" Guizhong appeared out of nowhere, scolding Zhongli furiously.

At this point, Yu quietly stepped aside, deciding that this was no longer his problem.

"Yu, there's another matter concerning Alatus and the others," said Moon Carver as he suddenly appeared.

"What happened?"

"Do you remember your old artifact?"

"It's still alive? I thought it was smashed to bits by that meteor."

"Yes, it's alive. However, a few days ago, it got too cocky, so the Lord threw it under Guyun Stone Forest."

"So, what exactly is going on?"

"Never mind, I'll take you to see for yourself."

---

Upon arrival, Yu surveyed the scene. "Did some adeptus die? This temple looks grand, and the incense offerings are plentiful. The stone carvings are exquisite… wait, why are my five little brothers and sisters carved into statues? Did the Yaksha guardians perish?"

"No, they were accidentally harmed by your artifact."

"What happened?"

Moon Carver gave a detailed account of the situation.

"After much research, we discovered that the power of faith could help them break free. However, it would take countless years of incense offerings before that could happen. So, we wanted to ask if you had any other solution."

Yu thought back to when he was petrified. …Nope, he didn't have any better ideas.

"How about I take my The Unforged and give it a few whacks?"

"No, that won't be necessary. You can go now."

---

Yu resumed his busy life. After the last great battle, most of the gods had been slain by Zhongli, leaving behind countless lingering grievances that needed to be dealt with.

With the five leaders of the Yaksha guardians gone, only a few minor Yaksha remained, which meant even more work for Yu.

"This is so annoying! I could've easily beaten them if they were still alive. Now that they're dead, they're even more of a hassle. It's like dealing with a swarm of flies! I really wish those five could come back—just one would be enough!"

This became Yu's daily complaint as he worked. About two months later, after yet another round of grumbling…

---

At the Yaksha Temple

Visitors came in an endless stream to offer incense and pray. The temple bells rang out pure and clear.

Suddenly, a finely carved statue began to tremble, cracks forming on its surface as bits of stone slowly fell away.

Finally, with a loud crack, the statue shattered, revealing a young boy with slightly green hair and a petite frame, stepping gracefully out.

There was just one problem—he was completely naked.

And to make matters worse, he was in a highly conspicuous position. A young girl who had just finished offering incense looked up and froze.

"Ahhhh!!!"

Her scream drew everyone's attention.

"Ahhhh!!! There's a pervert here!"

"No, no, it's a celestial being revived! The Lord has shown his power!"

"This immortal is so handsome!"

"And so well-built!"

"Wow! He may be small, but he's certainly well-endowed!"

---

Meanwhile, Yu was feeding the deep-sea dragon lizard he had captured, now affectionately named "Little Blue." After several days of feeding, Little Blue had grown much more docile and was even starting to get a little chubby, thanks to the generous portions Yu provided. If this feeding continued, Yu figured he could get the dragon to do just about anything.

At the moment, Yu's mind was occupied with two thoughts:

First, could an Earth dragon and a deep-sea dragon lizard crossbreed? If they could, what would their offspring look like?

Second, for some reason, he couldn't stop thinking about Ei. Specifically, how nice it felt to hold her in his arms. If only he had been a bit gentler…

"Little Blue, do you still remember the way home?"

Little Blue nodded, indicating that she did.

"Great! Lead me there. I'll catch your whole family and bring them back. Families should stay together, right? Or would you prefer if I released you?"

Little Blue thought for a moment, remembering the good food she had been enjoying. She chose the first option.

"Perfect! This way, I can visit Ei while I'm at it. I mean, I'm really just here to catch dragon lizards… not to see her."

---

That day, Zhongli received a special letter from the Greater Lord Rukkhadevata. The gist of the letter was that she had encountered some issues—one of her friends had died, and she would be away for a while. She wanted Yu to return and inherit the family responsibilities. As for why she didn't notify him personally… well, she didn't feel like it, despite having a direct connection with her son.

Zhongli considered the matter urgent and immediately went to look for Yu.

When he couldn't find him, he asked a minor Yaksha where Yu had gone.

"I think he said something about… catching dragon lizards?"

---

"Ei, this is a gift for you."

Yu handed over a small bracelet made from pretty trinkets taken from dragon lizards, carefully strung together and engraved with intricate patterns.

"Thank you."

"And this is some homemade dessert I prepared. I hope you don't mind."

"How could I mind? This is the first gift you've ever given me."
