Chapter 273: Chapter 273

Knock, knock, knock!

The crisp sound of knocking echoed in the hallway. Erina Nakiri stood to the side, arms crossed, her face showing clear irritation. Her restless leg stomped on the floor as she bit her lip, trying to keep her distance from Soma Yukihira.

"You! If it weren't for Isshiki-senpai's endorsement, do you think you'd ever set foot in the Headmaster's office?" she snapped.

While Hisako Arato knocked on the door, she glanced back at Soma. "Yukihira, can you behave for once? If you keep jumping around, security will throw you out."

"Oh, come on, Secretary," Soma replied with his usual goofy grin, scratching his head. "I've never been here before. I'm just checking out the layout so I won't get lost next time."

"You idiot!" Erina glared at him, her anger bubbling over. "This is Totsuki Academy's core! Only the Headmaster and the Elite Ten are allowed here. Someone like you will never have the qualifications to return!"

"Elite Ten?" Soma rubbed his chin, looking unimpressed. "If that's the case, I'll just challenge one to a food war. If I win, I'll become one of them, right?"

"Yukihira! You're absolutely insufferable!!" Erina stomped her foot, glaring at him as though her anger could drill holes in his skull.

"Excellent! Truly a promising seedling of Totsuki's Jewel Generation!"

A booming voice resonated through the hallway. The door swung open, revealing a tall, burly, white-haired man—Senzaemon Nakiri, the Headmaster of Totsuki Academy. His eyes gleamed with approval as he glanced at Soma before turning to Hiroshi and Ruri Gokou, who stood nearby.

"It seems we have honored guests today," Senzaemon said, his sharp gaze taking in Hiroshi's composed demeanor and the ethereal presence of Ruri. Even with his vast experience, he had rarely encountered such overwhelming yet tranquil auras.

"Please, come inside. I apologize for not greeting you sooner," he said, gesturing politely.

"No need for formalities," Hiroshi replied, exchanging a smile with Ruri as they entered the office.

Following Senzaemon's lead, they sat on the sofa. Across from them, a burly, short-haired man stood at attention. Meanwhile, Senzaemon began preparing tea with deliberate precision.

"Here, please."

Senzaemon handed the tea to Hiroshi and Ruri before addressing them directly. "May I ask the purpose of your visit to Totsuki Academy? If there is anything I can assist with, I will do my utmost."

Hiroshi sipped the tea thoughtfully before meeting Senzaemon's gaze. "Your intuition is quite remarkable, Senzaemon-sama. You possess an innate sense for detecting the energy within this realm."

He gestured toward Soma. "We were invited by Yukihira to hold a banquet here. However, we've learned that such events require your approval. So, we've come to formally request your permission."

"Consider it granted," Senzaemon said without hesitation. Turning to the burly man, he instructed, "Gin, handle the arrangements. Ensure the highest standards are met."

"Understood, Headmaster," Gin Dojima replied with a nod, bowing to Hiroshi and Ruri before leaving the room.

"Do the esteemed guests have any other requests?" Senzaemon asked respectfully, his gaze steady.

Hiroshi shook his head with a smile. "No, we only wish to hold a simple gathering. However, we would be honored if you and your family could attend the banquet tonight. I believe it will be a memorable experience."

"Oh, and one more thing," Hiroshi added, looking at Erina. "Our friends will start arriving shortly. Could we trouble you for campus access passes? Additionally, we'll need to use the kitchens to prepare the banquet. Perhaps Miss Erina could assist us?"

Senzaemon's eyes lit up as he turned to Erina. "Erina, you will accompany our guests and assist them with anything they require."

Erina stiffened, her face betraying her reluctance. "Yes, Grandfather. I understand."

"Hisako, you will join them as well and handle the reception for their arriving friends."

"Yes, Headmaster," Hisako replied dutifully.

"If there is nothing else, please excuse me," Hiroshi said, rising from his seat. "Thank you for your assistance, Senzaemon-sama."

As Hiroshi left the office with Ruri, he began messaging others in the chat group to finalize the arrangements. Soma, now quiet under Isshiki's watchful eye, followed suit.

In the now-quiet office, Erina turned to her grandfather with a puzzled expression. "Grandfather, why were you so respectful to those two? Who are they?"

Senzaemon walked to the window, his gaze distant. "I don't know their exact identities, but there is no doubt—they are extraordinary."

Looking back at his granddaughter, his eyes were filled with purpose. "During my youth, I encountered similar individuals while training in a far eastern land. But even among them, those two stand out as unparalleled."

He placed a firm hand on Erina's shoulder. "This is an opportunity you must seize. Learn from them, and you will benefit immensely."

Still stunned, Erina nodded slightly. "Yes, Grandfather. I understand."

"Now, go. Don't keep our guests waiting," Senzaemon urged with a smile.
