Global Beloved Cute Wife

Chapter 5: Chapter 5: A Woman with No Merit

Amanda Smith's eyes narrowed slightly before she spoke in a calm tone, "Miss Moore, I've known him since I was five. He started dating in middle school, and to this day, has been with women—no fewer than ten, if not twenty. But look, where are those women now? And where am I?" She lifted her small face, innocence and purity shining through her smile, "Miss Moore, don't laugh too soon. It's still undecided whose prize the deer will be."

Tasha Moore looked at her with some surprise.

In Samuel Johnson's mouth, Amanda Smith was a lowly and slutty woman, always groveling before everyone, a sight so dirty it offended the eyes.

But who was this woman now?

Sharp-tongued, even her innocent smile carried a tinge of mockery.

Tasha's composure was once again disrupted. She picked up her coffee and steadied herself, not knowing why she felt somewhat uneasy in front of this woman.

She had thought her victory was assured. How could a woman of modest beauty compare to her own looks?

In both beauty and talent, she far surpassed her.

But why did she feel… restless in front of this woman?

Restlessness is a sign of insecurity.

With just a few words, Amanda Smith had thrown her into a panic.

Her feelings for Samuel were genuine, and it was precisely because of this sincerity that she took to heart the fact that there was another woman in his family.

According to Samuel, Amanda was a girl Mr. Johnson had taken into their home during college, and she had lived there ever since, completely treated like a daughter-in-law, greatly favored by Mr. Johnson.

Samuel spoke of Amanda's obsequious flattery, her love for currying favor with Mr. Johnson, something he, proud and disdainful, could not stand—especially when it was his own grandfather.

In his mouth, Amanda was nothing but a lowly, shameless worm, chewing gum stuck on the sole of a shoe that couldn't be shaken off, nor picked away.

Could such a worthless woman in his narrative be the same person sitting before her?

Tasha observed her without a change in expression.

Amanda might not be considered beautiful, but for some reason, just sitting there simply, she seemed eye-catching.

Her demeanor was gentle and unaggressive, yet her smile always held a sharpness that a woman's intuition warned Tasha not to overlook. While Tasha, as Samuel's girlfriend, had come to intimidate her, Amanda appeared so composed as if she hadn't cared at all, smiling warmly and sweetly, with no sign of the emotional agitation Tasha felt.

Tasha's fingers slowly clenched. She felt her heartbeat quicken as she glared at Amanda, looking as if she wanted to explode but couldn't.

"Miss Moore," Amanda frowned slightly, a look of surprise coming over her as she faced Tasha Moore. "Your face..."

Tasha felt her heart pounding faster and faster. She sensed a suffocating sensation, her fingers unsteady as she knocked over the coffee cup she was holding. She collapsed.

Staring at the ceiling, she couldn't believe it—she was actually having a heart attack because of a few words from Amanda Smith!!!
