Chapter 5: Hunting Demonic Beasts, One Hundred Clones!:

After leaving the Sect’s residence, Li Ange, accompanied by seventeen clones, quickly encountered his first Demonic Beast. It was a tusked boar at the Qi Refining Realm.

As they approached, the wild boar noticed them but showed no fear. Instead, it charged aggressively.

“Perfect timing—kill it!” Li Ange commanded.

In an instant, seventeen sword lights flashed, and the wild boar, still mid-charge, was shredded into pieces before it could react.

Li Ange couldn’t help but twitch the corner of his mouth. The overwhelming power felt like using a cannon to kill a mosquito. Still, it highlighted the strength of his group. Even a Demonic Beast at the 5th stage Qi Refining Realm wouldn’t have survived such an onslaught.

“Let’s keep going,” Li Ange said.

Over the next two hours, he and his clones patrolled the area within a mile of the Sect’s residence. While they didn’t encounter many Demonic Beasts, the ones they did find stood no chance. The strongest among them was at the 3rd stage Qi Refining, but facing Li Ange and his clones was a death sentence.

As evening fell, Li Ange decided it was time to return. 

The Ten Thousand Races Continent appeared to be in summer, so darkness came later, but by now, the sky was dimming. Despite his confidence, nighttime could be dangerous.

Back at the Sect, Li Ange began assessing the results of their hunt. They had taken down six Demonic Beasts in total: three at the 1st stage Qi Refining Realm, two at the 2nd stage, and one at the 3rd stage.

The third-level Demonic Beast was a colorful tiger weighing around 500 kilograms. The second-level kills included a five-meter-long flower snake and a black bull, adding up to 800 kilograms. The remaining first-level kills were a wild boar and two gray wolves, totaling about 1,000 kilograms.

Li Ange opened the trading interface.

There were already listings for food, such as instant noodles, posted by other Blue Star newcomers. However, the prices were exorbitant, with a single pack of noodles costing one Spirit Stone. Unsurprisingly, none had sold yet. Everyone had prepared food before arriving, so there was no immediate scarcity.

“It’s no surprise that Demonic Beast meat hasn’t sold yet. I’m likely the only one at the Qi Refining Realm so far. Even second-generation immortals will need until tomorrow at the earliest,” Li Ange thought.

He decided his Demonic Beast meat would be sold exclusively to second-generation immortals, who had the wealth to afford it. Carefully, he set the prices:

[2nd stage Qi Refining Realm meat: 20 Spirit Stones per kilogram]

[3rd stage Qi Refining Realm meat: 50 Spirit Stones per kilogram]

The prices were steep but reasonable for the second-generation immortals, given the meat’s cultivation-boosting properties. After listing the six Demonic Beasts on the trading platform, Li Ange waited patiently.

Moments later, the regional chat exploded with activity.

“Check the trading platform! Someone named Li Ange is selling Demonic Beast meat!”
“No way! Not even the second-generation immortals should be at Qi Refining Realm yet. How could anyone have hunted Demonic Beasts already?”
“It’s true! There are six Demonic Beasts listed, including one at the 3rd stage Qi Refining Realm!”
“Who is this god? My cultivation progress is only at 30%, and someone’s already hunting third-level Demonic Beasts!”

Li Ange read the messages with amusement. Since trading couldn’t be done anonymously, everyone knew it was him. Still, he wasn’t concerned. With enough Spirit Stones, he could grow strong rapidly, even if it made him a target.

The notification brought a gleam to Li Ange’s eyes.

It had taken less than five minutes for everything to sell, confirming that there were indeed second-generation immortals in the area. This realization caused anxiety in the chat, as ordinary people worried about their chances of survival with such powerful competitors nearby.

Meanwhile, Li Ange focused on the Spirit Stones he had earned. The six Demonic Beasts had brought in a total of 113,000 Spirit Stones. Combined with his previous amount, he now held 113,507 Spirit Stones.

Seeing the number, Li Ange couldn’t stop smiling. 

While 100,000 Spirit Stones might be a trivial amount to second-generation immortals, it was a fortune for him.

“System, create 82 clones!” he ordered.

As the system finished, 82 new clones materialized in front of Li Ange.

“In the next stage, I’ll be able to create 1,000 clones. If this trend continues, I might have 10 billion clones by the Transcend Tribulation Realm,” Li Ange thought, his breath catching.

The prospect was staggering. With 10 billion clones, all synchronized in strength, he could dominate the lower realms of the Ten Thousand Races Continent.

For now, however, Li Ange focused on the present. Smiling at his 100 clones, he issued his command.

“All clones, begin cultivating!”

With 100 clones practicing simultaneously, his cultivation speed was now 100 times faster. Given enough time, his strength would grow at an unprecedented rate.

He also had the clones join his Sect.
