Godfather Of The Cosmos

Hello Readers, this chapter is dedicated to the explanation of the power system in my novel. As such, there will be minor spoilers ahead. 

Basic World Building: The world around MC is interstellar, comprising of galaxy and star systems. "Zaohua" is a secluded planet with poor living conditions in the Fisheye Cloud Galaxy System. Even with the advancement of technology, Spiritual Prowess is the measure of one's skill. 

Elites: Those who have reached "Spiritual Enlightenment" are Elites. These people are usually at a fixed physical age level, meaning their age stops the moment they reach enlightenment. (Note: Stopping age does not make one Immortal and hence, does not prevent death. Death by accident, physical injuries, or Cosmic accidents is possible.)

Godfathers: Those who have learned the "Truth" are Godfathers. (Spoilers ahead: Becoming a Godfather means to exist and not exist at the same time. Godfathers may exist in a space and time invisible to normal people.) 

Cultivation Aspect: There are three types of Cultivation one can adopt in order to reach their end goal i.e., become an Elite or a Godfather. 

Type 1: Manifesting Qi using energy in the world's crust. This is the lowest type of cultivation, and hence can't be used in space. 

Type 2: Manifesting Qi by using existing Cosmic Energy from the atmosphere. Cosmic Energy is a spatial energy form that exists everywhere in abundance, making this type of cultivation the strongest, and hence useful in space. 

Type 3: Manifesting Cosmic Energy to produce Qi. This technique involves the user to absorb Cosmic Energy in their body, which is a highly toxic practice. Although strongest out of all types, it's also the most fatal one, causing one's body to rot with time. 

Art of Destruction: This is a cultivation technique which uses Type 3 Cultivation. It is a forbidden technique because its offset is known to have destroyed planets and galaxies. 

Tarnished: "Previously human" tainted with the Art of Destruction become corroded beings with no emotions, memories, or desire. The Tarnished only have one goal: to spread their infection to others. Once Tarnished, a human can't be returned back to normal. 

Type 2 cultivation levels: 

Type 2 cultivation is the main type used throughout the novel. Here is how the power grading system goes: 

Grade 1: Can manifest Qi, unable to perform majority of the spells. 

Grade 2: Can perform majority of the spells, and have control over Qi. 

Grade 3: People at grade 3 are called Cultivators. They are able to perform all tasks expected from a cultivator (eg: perform inhuman martial arts, use Qi to manifest the basic elements and create reactions, use mindful spells, control mind and body to an extent.) 

Grade 4: All of the above but better. 

Elites: All of the above + Spiritual Enlightenment (meaning one with body, mind, or soul). These people are capable of an additional skill called "Warping". Warping is a state of the spirit which allows it to "warp" or "jump" through space and time. 

Godfathers: The all-knowing.
