Gojo Satoru: The Strongest Sorcerer Among Exorcists

Chapter 17: Chapter 16: The Infatuated Natsumi Bekki

"Yo, we meet again, you three."

Walking out of the restroom, Gojo Satoru smirked at the three boys crouching in the corner.

Of course, he had noticed Tadakuni, Yoshitake, and Hideyoshi following him. He was also aware they had tried to compare themselves to him, but he chose to pretend otherwise.

Seriously, if you're going to trail someone, why go as far as to challenge them like that? Talk about asking for humiliation.

Hearing that familiar voice, the three boys looked up with hollow eyes.

Their confidence had been utterly destroyed.

Their empty gazes fixated on Gojo, resembling the haunted expressions of vengeful spirits.

"Hehe, sayonara!"

Seeing they were still wallowing in despair, Gojo shrugged, waved, and walked off.

It was lunchtime, after all.

And before going to the restroom, he had asked Shizuka Hiratsuka to order extra desserts and coffee for him. By now, it should have arrived.

The mere thought of desserts quickened his pace.

Watching their "nemesis" walk away, Yoshitake lowered his head, his voice heavy.

"What do we do now?"

"Go back to class," Tadakuni said weakly, staggering to his feet.

This incident would likely haunt him for life, a permanent shadow on his self-esteem.

After returning to the classroom, find some time to see if there is any organization that deletes memories.

As they helped each other up, their movements radiated pure defeat, their spirits utterly crushed.

Teachers' Office.

Gojo was happily devouring strawberry pudding with a spoon in hand.

"Ah, truly, desserts are the greatest food in the world. Anyone who doesn't like them is a heretic!"

Finishing the last bite of pudding, he washed it down with a heavily sugared coffee and sighed in satisfaction.

"Sweet-tooth supremacy forever!"

"I honestly don't know how you eat so many sweets. What are you going to do when you're old and develop diabetes?"

Shizuka Hiratsuka raised an eyebrow as she sipped her coffee.

She'd seen people with a sweet tooth, but Gojo was on another level entirely.

Even his coffee was loaded with ten sugar cubes. Could that even be called coffee anymore?

She shuddered at the thought.

"Tsk, tsk, you just don't get it, Shizuka-chan. Sweetness is the most important thing in the world!"

Gojo folded his arms and declared this with a pompous air.

"It's the ultimate taste for your palate, it replenishes energy, and it stimulates brain activity. Therefore, sweetness is life!"

"Right, sweetness is life…" Shizuka said with a wry smile, humoring him like one would an overexcited younger sibling.

"Hey, what's with that patronizing tone and expression, Shizuka-chan? I'm being serious here!"

"Sure, sure, you are. Totally serious."

"Tsk! You non-sweet-tooth heathens will never understand."

"Ah, yes. Poor us."

Their playful banter was interrupted when the office door swung open, and a lively voice rang out.

"Shizuka, we're here to mooch lunch off you!"

"Hmm?"

Both Gojo and Hiratsuka turned toward the door.

Standing there was a sweet-looking young woman with long, light-golden hair and a cheerful smile. Behind her was a poised woman with short reddish-brown hair.

They were none other than Natsumi Bekki and Sengoku Chihiro, the two other teachers who shared the office but hadn't been around much.

"Shizuka, I'm counting on you for lunch again…"

Natsumi stepped in, her cheerful tone trailing off as she noticed the unfamiliar white-haired man sitting at one of the desks.

Her previously squinted eyes widened, revealing stunning blue irises.

"Oh-ho~!"

She let out an odd sound.

"What the hell is that reaction!?" Shizuka Hiratsuka and Sengoku Chihiro thought simultaneously, their minds in chaos.

Natsumi's demeanor abruptly shifted. Like an excited puppy, she locked her gaze on Gojo, her breathing quickened, and a blush spread across her face.

"A handsome guy! Such a handsome guy! He's perfect for me!"

She darted toward Gojo with startling speed, practically throwing herself into his arms.

Nestling into his chest like an overenthusiastic fangirl, she began rubbing her cheek against him while babbling excitedly.

"Handsome guy, do you have a girlfriend? If you do, how about adding one more? If not, let's get married right now! I can quit my job, and we can start our newlywed life together! C'mon, say something!"

Her words spilled out rapidly as she clung to him like a koala, completely unfazed by the mortified looks from everyone else in the room.

In her mind, she was already imagining their future together, picking out baby names and picturing what their children would look like.

"This is bad!"

Shizuka Hiratsuka pressed her palm to her forehead in frustration.

She had braced herself for Natsumi's reaction to meeting Gojo, but even her worst-case scenario didn't come close to this level of chaos.
