Hallow Throne

Chapter 15: Gratitude

Finally, Astrea stirred from his three-day slumber, finding Lucifer patiently waiting by his side. "Thank goodness you're awake," Lucifer exhaled with relief.

Astrea, still groggy, inquired, "Captain, why are you here? Have you been waiting all this time?"

Lucifer explained, "We've healed most of your injuries, but your broken bones still need time. I will now take a short nap, so please dont disturb me. Once you're ready, we'll teleport to the capital. Is that alright with you?"

Elizabeth, who had entered the room, overheard their conversation. Astrea asked her, "Mam, why does the captain look so tired?"

Elizabeth replied, "You've been asleep for three full days, and during that time, he hardly got an hour of rest. He felt responsible for sending you on that mission."

Celestio joined them and offered his assistance. "Astrea, lean on me for support. We have something to show you," he said.

Astrea complied, and with Celestio's help, made his way to the lobby. Celestio revealed a delivery of high-quality food. Astrea wondered why they received it and checked the tag, which bore his name.

Astrea asked Celestio, "Sir, who sent this to me?"

Celestio reminded him of his last mission. "It's from the villagers you saved. They expressed their gratitude, as they couldn't thank you in person due to your injuries."

Touched by their kindness, Astrea teared up, feeling unworthy of such generosity. Masaki entered the room and reassured him, "It's not your fault. You played a crucial role in keeping them alive until I arrived."

Masaki then requested Faiz to prepare the food for dinner. Faiz questioned why he had to do it, to which Masaki replied, "You're our second-best cook after the captain."

A letter arrived, announcing an urgent captain's meeting in the royal capital in two hours. Elizabeth informed Lucifer, who decided to take Astrea along due to his need for medical attention.

They gathered, and Elizabeth cast a shadow magic spell, "Dark Garden Invitation," transporting them to the central capital.
