Chapter 7: Chapter 7
On September 1st, Walking into a station with his guardians. They show Noah where 9¾ is.
"Haha, Noah, just run through it."
"Didn't you say before, "I am the best at everything, including having no fear" while running around with your wand?"
Hearing his aunt's remark, he turns around to give her a piece of his mind. Before he can, his uncle pushes him through.
Looking at everything before him, he sees people hugging their parents.
Looking up, he sees a sign that says "HOGWARTS EXPRESS."
"Alright, it seems like I'm really here."
"Hello there, can I help you?" looking up, he sees a girl with black hair tied into a ponytail. She also has a mole on her right cheek. Holding her hand out, he silently takes her hand.
Helping him up, she just smiles at him.
"Well, sorry for that. Thank you for helping me. My name is Noah."
"Well, nice to meet you, Noah." After making sure he is fine, she introduces herself "I'm a second year, and my name is Meia. I'm guessing you're a first-year?"
"I am- it's exciting being here."
Going through the platform, Noah's uncle and aunty go to him with his trunk.
"Noah!" yelling at her nephew. She sees him with someone.
"Oy, who is this?" Questioning the person beside him, Noah introduces her.
"This is Meia, umm Meia, meet my uncle and aunty."
After talking for a while, Noah's uncle and aunt both leave.
__
"Hey, wanna enter the same compartment."
I think Hermione is with Ron and Harry currently, so it should be fine.
"Yes, no problem" While entering the train, Meia and I find an unoccupied compartment.
Sitting on the opposite side of me, we silently just enjoy each other presence before we leave.
Thinking about it, I feel oddly safe and relaxed around her.
After some minutes passed, the train started going.
"So how is Hogwarts?" initiating a conversation with her we talk about a couple of things. The talk spanned from magic to gossip about some of the teachers I should avoid if I was going to have a ni time while in class.
Knocking on the compartment.
A girl busts in.
"Sorry, this is the second time this has happened, but have you seen a Toad-"
"Hermione?" saying her name at the same time, Hermione just blanks out.
"Oh, Noah and Meia." Shortly coming back to life, she responds to both of her friends.
"I'm guessing you two just met?" Sitting beside me, she starts interrogating the both of us.
After a barrage of questions, she finally leaves us two to hurry up and find the toad...
Stopping her find for a second, I tell her to sit back down.
"Alright, give me your hands."
Grabbing her hands, "Alright, this is going to be a little weird, but magic can truly do anything."
Closing my eyes. I began to use my ability called "future sight."
I developed it during my Occulmecy practice when I figured out I have dreams about the future. I can only use it so much though the biggest problem is that I become sick after it.
Getting a quick vision of the toad hopping in the back of the carpetments, "Hermione, go to the back of the train. You'll find the toad either on the left or right side."
Thanking me, she runs out of the carptment.
"Whew." laying down on the seat, I forget Meia is in here too.
"So what was that, Noah?" Looking at her, I can only wearily smile.
"I'm so-so at looking through the future."
"Typical seeres don't see the future that well that though?"
"As I said, I'm so-so well compared to my founding family."
"Wait, family? Could you be a pure-blood wizard?"
"Oh, I didn't tell you my full name? Well, it's Noah Caster."
"Oh, you are a part of the Ancient Caster family house, though isn't there only 2 of them left? The last time I remember, they were both Federal twins? So you're not really a part of their family, correct?"
"What an oddly precise statement, I am adopted. If I remember correctly, my real family name is Morningstar. I accept both, so I usually go by Noah Caster-Morningstar."
"Morningstar? Interesting, the Morningstar family was the most powerful in wizard history, though sadly, the one who must not be named. Wiped out the last- I'm sorry for being this noisy. I don't mean to offend you."
"No, no, please continue. I wanna know more about my family. My uncle and aunt told me a note was left along with me. On the note was my first and last name."
"Thank god I didn't offend you... well, the Morningstar family is known to be good at nearly every magic in existence. Sadly they started weakening out, and the last one couldn't protect herself. It was said she died a horrible death."
Spending the next last hours on the train, she talks about him to his family and also her family.
After the train comes to a stop, they grab their things.
Walking off the train, a big gigantic man signals first years.
"First years this way."
"Bye Meia, un, which house are you in?"
"I'm a Gryffindor. Hopefully, you're the same. But talking to you, I don't think you'll be."
Taking separate ways, I ride on a boat with a girl named Ginny Weasely, Colin Creevey, and Ivery Allison.
Looking around the lake, I smile at the scenery.
Getting out of the boats.
"First years this way!"
Moving towards a specific table, all of the first years sat down.
"Welcome, Welcome to a new year at Hogwarts." The man with an oddly long beard said, his judging eyes holding a slight poke of legilimency.
He begins to speak to us.
"Now, I'd like to say a few words before we all begin to enjoy this wonderful feast first. I'm pleased to introduce our new Defense against the dark arts teacher Gilderoy Lockhart. Hopefully, you all will love his teaching!" Motioning to Gilderoy, he stands up and bows, and everyone begins to clap.
"Now we should get along with the sorting ceremony before we eat, shall we? Minerva, if you may."
Placing out the sorting hat, it begins to sing a song.
"Oh, this new batch seems to be quite the handle.
Maybe the older batch doesn't hold a candle to them.
Or perhaps these kids are just a catch.
Though I'm a cap, I am the catch of them all.
I'm the Hogwarts cap. This is the place where you might find the brave.
Does your courage match that braveness you have you might find yourself in Gryffindor?
Or are you more so intelligent than the rest?
If you are, can you put it to the test?
If so, you can go to the Ravenclaw, and you'll figure out how to surpass a wall in your life.
Perhaps you're sneakier than the rest pretty sure you can really put that to the test.
Join the Slytherin, the best to put your quick wits.
You're just plus, loyal but not weak to toil, don't mess with them.
They are different from the rest. It's clearly shown on the crest.
The un-foldable Hogwarts house Hufflepuff!
But don't be worried, I'm; just a cap. Really all I can do is flap my "mouth."
Cause at the end of the day, I'm the Hogwarts Thinking Hat."
After singing the song, Professor McGonagall started calling the names.
After some people got called Colin, who besides me went up.
After getting sorted into Gryffindor, their table start clapping and shouting.
"Ginny Weasley"
Going up to the sorting hat, she gets put into Gryffindor.
After a few more calls from other people, I get called up.
"Noah Caster-Morningstar"
Shortly after my name gets called, everything becomes silent.
"God, I hate attention like this." Whispering to myself, I walk up to the chair.
"Oh? Your occulmency is quite strong, more than impressive at this age. Can you tone it down a little bit?"
Listening to his request, I simply make my surface thoughts open.
"Intelligent, more than Intelligent actually, It's almost like you're willing to sacrifice knowledge for anything."
"I am not willing to sacrifice that much."
"Well, it also seems like you got a lot of courage, you're also tricky... hey, which house do you want to be in? You'd fit in any perfectly."
"Whichever one you want to pick."
"Perfect, this house needs someone greatly exceptional like you."
"HUFFLEPUFF"
Smiling, I get up to walk toward the Hufflepuff table, a small round of clapping aroused from them.
Sitting by another first year, the sorting hat experience stops, and then we start eating.
