Harry potter: I am the king of United Kingdom

Chapter 13: Chapter 13: Into the Chamber of Secrets

Arthur paced back and forth outside the hospital wing, his heart heavy with worry. Daphne lay unconscious on a hospital bed, her pale face a stark contrast to her vibrant red hair. Madam Pomfrey, the Hogwarts nurse, finally emerged with an expression of relief.

"She'll be alright," she said, her voice steady but laced with concern. "The vampire venom was potent, but because you got her here in time, she's resisted the worst of it. She'll be able to endure sunlight, but… she'll need three days to recover."

Arthur let out a shaky breath, the weight of guilt pressing against his chest. He sat by Daphne's bedside, gripping her hand tightly. "I'm so sorry, Daphne," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "I'll make this right. I promise."

As the hours passed, Arthur stayed by her side, refusing to leave. The soft flutter of wings broke the silence. A black crow landed on the windowsill, its piercing yellow eyes fixed on Arthur. Attached to its leg was a small scroll. Arthur untied the message and unrolled it.

"Come to Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom immediately. The truth awaits you."

The signature bore a familiar crest—a dark emblem that sent a chill down Arthur's spine. He kissed Daphne's hand gently and whispered, "I'll be back soon."

Arthur arrived at the gloomy bathroom, the air damp and cold. Moaning Myrtle hovered near the sink, her translucent form wrinkling her nose in curiosity.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, tilting her head.

"I was summoned," Arthur replied, scanning the room. He approached the sink, which bore an inscription of a serpent. The crow from earlier perched nearby, cawing loudly before vanishing into the shadows.

Suddenly, the sink began to move, twisting and sinking into the ground. A hidden passage revealed itself, spiraling downward. Arthur hesitated for a moment before steeling his resolve and jumping in.

The slide ended abruptly, depositing Arthur in a massive, dimly lit chamber. The air was thick with ancient magic, and the sound of scales shifting echoed in the vast space. Before him stood a magnificent throne made entirely of swords, each one gleaming faintly in the eerie green light.

Perched on the throne was Magnus Grindelwald-Riddle, his five-leaf clover grimoire floating ominously beside him. Shadows writhed around him like living entities. At his feet lay the basilisk, its massive form coiled and eyes closed as Magnus gently stroked its head.

"Welcome, Arthur Pendragon," Magnus greeted, his voice smooth and cold. "I see you've managed to survive yet another encounter with danger."

Arthur's gaze hardened. "Why am I here, Magnus? What do you want?"

Magnus smirked, his expression unreadable. "You fought one of my subordinates in the Forbidden Forest," he said, his tone casual. "And you nearly killed him."

Arthur clenched his fists. "Those weren't just subordinates; they were vampires. They attacked us, and Daphne…" He took a deep breath, forcing himself to remain calm. "She's changed because of them."

Magnus rose from the throne, his movements slow and deliberate. The shadows around him seemed to intensify, their presence almost suffocating. "Everything happens for a reason, Arthur. You and I—we're destined to be rivals. Two sides of the same coin."

Arthur took a step forward, his voice resolute. "If you think I'll stand by while you hurt innocent people, you're mistaken. Whatever your plans are, I'll stop you."

Magnus chuckled darkly, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "We'll see about that," he said, his voice a whisper that seemed to echo in the chamber.

The basilisk stirred, lifting its massive head to regard Arthur with unblinking eyes. Arthur instinctively raised his wandless hand, his magic sparking to life.

Magnus sat back on the throne, the grin never leaving his face. "This is only the beginning, Arthur. Prepare yourself for what's to come."

And as the shadows deepened around the throne, Arthur felt the weight of destiny pressing down on him.
