Chapter Thirty-Nine: Elderberry, May I Try It, Sir?

The huge roar shook the whole of Diagon Alley. The people outside, who had just resumed their activities, stared in astonishment at the location of Ollivander's wand shop. The main body of the house flew into the sky and disintegrated. An assortment of building debris and wand fragments fell to the ground, creating a massive cloud of smoke. As the smoke cleared, Ollivander looked at what remained of his wand shop in disbelief—ruins! His eyes were dull, not comprehending how a little wizard who merely ran away with magic power could wreak such havoc. How could a young wizard, only eleven years old, possess such powerful magic? Not only powerful, but it also felt incredibly violent.

"Mr. Ollivander, as you said, I am not responsible for any accidents!" Kyle declared, handing over what was left of the wand in his hand, eager to rid himself of responsibility.

"No...it's okay, I can't blame you!" Ollivander wailed, taking out his wand to start casting the "repair spell." Seeing this, Dumbledore stepped in to assist. However, the wand fragments inside could not be restored with the "repair spell." This loss was beyond just heavy. The cost of a single wand was dozens of Galleons, and looking at the fragments on the ground made Ollivander feel like vomiting blood.

Cassandra stared in shock at the scene before her. As an elite from a true wizarding family, talented and eager to learn, she had been practicing magic since she was two or three years old. This wasn't her first wand; her previous one was accidentally broken during a magic lesson. She was well aware that none of the young wizards of her age, who hadn't yet entered school, could compare to her. To her, they were just a bunch of little kids, insignificant. But now, Kyle stood before her, casually waving his wand. The violent and powerful magic unleashed had blown up the wand shop. The shock within her heart was unimaginable. Could this truly be something a little wizard of his age could do?

At this moment, Kyle's eyes were caught by a piece of wood that rolled down to his feet. The entire piece of wood was pitch black and appeared to have joints. It looked inconspicuous, but Kyle had a peculiar feeling in his heart just by looking at it, as if it was exactly what he needed. "Mr. Ollivander, what is this?" Kyle picked up the log and asked Ollivander a question.

"That's an elderberry," Ollivander replied. "I managed to collect them. There are three of them. I wanted to make one out of them..." Ollivander glanced at Dumbledore. "I wanted to try to imitate a new Elder Wand, but in the end, I failed twice in a row. Elderberry and thestral tail feathers just don't make a perfect match. So I left the last elder."

"Is this the elderberry?" Kyle looked at the wood in his hands curiously. This is a material extremely rare in the magical world; it can be encountered but not sought after. The Elder Wand, one of the "Three Hallows of Death" in Dumbledore's hand, is made of elderberry and the tail feathers of thestrals. Of course, there must be other substances mixed in, or some unique production methods. Otherwise, Ollivander wouldn't have failed twice in a row.

Holding the elderberry, the longing in Kyle's heart grew stronger. Even the magic power in his body began to become active. "Sir, may I try this elderberry?" he asked. "It's up to you..." Ollivander was seriously casting a spell to restore the wand shop and replied casually without thinking about it. After speaking, he realized that there seemed to be something wrong. "Wait, kid!" Just about to stop him, but unfortunately, it was too late.

In disbelief, with a wave of Kyle's arm, there was another loud bang. Ollivander's wand shop, which was almost restored with great difficulty, spiraled into the sky again.
