Chapter 120: A round Trip, and tons of Love
When Harry first floated the idea of a world tour, Yoruichi's golden eyes sparkled with excitement. "You're serious?" she asked, her grin widening.
"As serious as a god of death can be," Harry replied, his tone playful. "We've earned a break, haven't we?"
And just like that, they were off. With Harry's abilities to bypass time, space, and pesky things like international laws, the duo set out on a journey that would become the stuff of legend.
The pyramids stood tall against the burning horizon, timeless monuments to human ingenuity. Naturally, Harry and Yoruichi couldn't resist bending a few rules.
"It's closed to tourists at this hour," Yoruichi whispered, glancing around the empty plateau.
Harry smirked, snapping his fingers. A shimmering barrier enveloped them, shielding them from prying eyes. "Not for us."
Moments later, they were perched atop the Great Sphinx, enjoying the view… among other things.
Afterward, they lay sprawled across the ancient structure, the stars twinkling above them.
"You know," Yoruichi murmured, tracing a finger across Harry's chest, "we might've just desecrated one of the world's greatest wonders."
He chuckled, pulling her closer. "History's long. I think it can survive a little passion."
The bustling crowds of Oktoberfest were unlike anything they'd experienced. The air was filled with the scent of pretzels and roasted meat, the sound of clinking mugs and boisterous laughter.
Yoruichi was the life of the party, downing steins of beer as though she'd been born in Bavaria. Harry matched her drink for drink, his divine metabolism making hangovers an impossibility.
Later, as the festivities wound down, they found themselves in a quiet corner of the festival grounds.
"Think anyone will notice if we...?" Yoruichi teased, a mischievous glint in her eye.
"Not with me around," Harry replied, raising a hand to create another barrier.
The next morning, locals would wonder why one of the festival's tallest beer tents had mysteriously collapsed overnight.
Paris was as romantic as the stories claimed, though Harry and Yoruichi added their own twist to the city of love.
Standing atop the Eiffel Tower, Yoruichi peered over the edge. "You know, I don't think this is what Gustave Eiffel had in mind."
Harry grinned, pulling her into his arms. "Well, he should've thought about that before building something this perfect."
The night air was cool, the city lights twinkling below them as they made the Eiffel Tower their own private retreat. Afterward, they lay tangled together, the steel beams beneath them surprisingly comfortable.
"I can't believe we just did that," Yoruichi said, laughing softly.
Harry kissed her forehead. "Believe it. And we're not done yet."
In Kyoto, they strolled through the serene bamboo groves of Arashiyama. The peaceful setting didn't stop them from finding a secluded spot to add their own… personal touches.
In India, they explored the Taj Mahal by moonlight, Harry once again cloaking them in a barrier. Yoruichi joked that the world's greatest love story just got a new chapter.
New York City's skyline was breathtaking, though Harry and Yoruichi spent more time in Central Park, making use of its hidden nooks.
In the Grand Canyon, Harry created a floating platform, giving them a private view that no one else could match.
"Do you think anyone will ever top us?" Yoruichi asked, leaning against him.
"Not a chance," Harry replied, his tone smug.
On safari in the Serengeti, they marveled at the wildlife before finding a quiet spot under the stars.
"You know, Harry," Yoruichi said, her voice soft, "this might be the most beautiful place we've been."
"Agreed," he said, holding her close. "But you make everywhere beautiful."
Seriously, guys? The Sphinx? The Eiffel Tower? Even the Grand Canyon?!
Do you know how hard I worked to create a believable and compelling romance arc? And you just… skip to the fun part in every single location?
Meanwhile, I'm stuck here, writing this drivel while you two gallivant across the globe like some kind of god-tier power couple.
I'm not mad. I'm just… furious. Carry on, I guess.
After a year and a half, they returned to Karakura, their bond stronger than ever. Harry resumed his routine of teasing Ichigo, while Yoruichi made herself at home in the Kurosaki household.
"Are you ever going to get your own place?" Ichigo asked one morning, glaring at Harry over his cereal.
Harry smirked. "Why bother? This place has everything I need. Plus, you love having me here."
Yoruichi chuckled, sipping her tea. "Face it, Ichigo. We're not going anywhere."
And somewhere in the void, the author wept bitter tears, wondering why fictional characters always had it better.
