Hatake Tatsuya in Naruto

Chapter 169: Chapter 169 Hamura Otsutsuki

"Sixteen Gods Vacuum Attack!"

The remote Gentle Fist technique, resembling the Eight Trigrams Air Palm, was unleashed from Ōtsutsuki Toneri's hands. However, its power was many times stronger than the Hyuga clan's Eight Trigrams Air Palm. A fist, driven by a high concentration of chakra, pressed against the air and transformed into a giant fist.

"Sure enough... this is the real Gentle Fist of the Ōtsutsuki clan."

Tatsuya couldn't help but admit that the Hyuga family's Gentle Fist always felt somewhat lackluster to him. But facing the true technique of the Ōtsutsuki clan was an entirely different matter.

Though both clans were descended from the younger brother of the Sage of Six Paths, Ōtsutsuki Hamura, it seemed that the clan on the moon was the one that had truly inherited his legacy. The Hyuga family, remaining on Earth, either lost much of the original method through generations or started with a diminished version to begin with.

"But even with this level of power, even if Hamura himself were here, I could still handle it," Tatsuya muttered under his breath, his hand reaching for his Zanpakutō at his waist.

In a flash, the howling flames of his Zanpakutō consumed everything within the range of his white eyes, including the massive fist that was heading straight toward him. In an instant, he retracted the blade, the flames vanishing as quickly as they appeared.

"Dad!" Toneri, who lacked eyesight but possessed an incredible sense of perception, exclaimed.

"Yin and Yang, Hakkeshō Kaiten!"

The ancient version of the Hakkeshō Kaiten, with its black and white energy intersecting, erupted in a defensive power that far surpassed the original. It withstood the impact of Ryūjin Jakka for a brief moment.

"How long can you last?" Tatsuya smiled slightly, wrapping the flames around his sword before swinging it outward. The endless flames formed a sphere, larger than Hakkeshō Kaiten, engulfing it without leaving a single gap.

"Burn the city to the ground!" Tatsuya whispered with a smile.

"Ugh! Ugh!"

Soon, Ōtsutsuki Toneri's heart-wrenching cries echoed from within the flaming sphere.

"Dad!!!"

Toneri screamed in shock, but before he could react, he was kicked to the ground with a force that reminded Tatsuya of the time Kakashi had stepped on Sasuke's head in a real fight.

Tatsuya, too, stepped down firmly on the head of the struggling Toneri.

"Tatsuya-sama!" Hinata jogged up, sweat still dotting her forehead. This was the first time she had witnessed Tatsuya in actual combat, and it left her in awe. He's too strong... she thought, still stunned.

"This kid... I can't find any reason to spare him," Tatsuya muttered, looking down at the Toneri, who was squirming desperately beneath his foot. He had initially thought the boy was just like his father, obsessed with destroying the world. But keeping him alive would only be a curse, especially since the boy seemed possessive of Hinata. Tatsuya felt no compassion in his heart.

"Damn it! Let go of me!" Ōtsutsuki Toneri hissed angrily, twisting his head to glare at Tatsuya.

"Don't worry, I'll make it quick," Tatsuya responded coldly. He brought the tip of his Zanpakutō to the back of Ōtsutsuki's neck, ready to strike.

Just as the blade was about to pierce Toneri's neck, Tatsuya and Hinata suddenly felt the world around them spin. It was as if they were traveling through a tunnel of time and space, but the entire process lasted no longer than the blink of an eye.

"This... this is..." Hinata whispered, her eyes wide with curiosity as she looked around, trying to understand what had just happened.

"Sealed space?" Tatsuya murmured subconsciously.

That's right. This place reminded him of the sealed space within Kushina's inner world, where the Nine-Tails had been sealed. But unlike that world, there was no tailed beast or seal formation here. In this empty realm, there was only a faint puddle beneath their feet.

"That brat, Toneri, couldn't perform this level of ninjutsu and pull me into his spiritual world. To be honest, there aren't many in this world who could," Tatsuya thought, turning his gaze to the vast emptiness of the spiritual realm. He then smiled and, in the calmest tone, uttered the most terrifying words:

"I'm also quite skilled in spiritual attacks. It wouldn't be difficult to bring this whole world down. Do you want to experience it, you fearful little mouse?"

"I'll count to three," he added, raising his right index finger. "One..."

In the next moment, he raised his middle finger. "Two..."

Another second passed, and just as Tatsuya opened his mouth to say the final "three," a voice interrupted him.

"No need for such impatience, young man."

The voice was old, strong, and emanated a sense of authority. Tatsuya and Hinata both turned their heads to see an elderly man standing behind them. His presence alone made Hinata's small face show astonishment once again.

Like the father and son of the Ōtsutsuki clan, this man's entire being — from his skin to his hair and eyes — was a pale mixture of white and lavender.

Wait... his eyes?

Hinata's gaze sharpened. She noticed that, unlike the Masato and Toneri, this elderly man's eyes weren't as similar to the Hyuga clan's in appearance. His white pupils contained an intriguing, mysterious blue light.

"Both of you brothers enjoy playing these tricks," the Tatsuya remarked.

Tatsuya, however, remained calm, much more so than Hinata, as he sized up the elder.

Tatsuya had a vague sense of what had happened the moment he was drawn into this spiritual world. But the question remained: Why was the owner of this place still alive?

"Ōtsutsuki Hamura."

Tatsuya slowly turned around, his eyes locking on the elderly man who was sitting cross-legged in midair behind him.

"Ōtsutsuki Hamura?" Hinata muttered, her voice betraying a hint of disbelief.

The name sounded familiar as if it had appeared in the ancient records of the Hyuga family.

Tatsuya's gaze remained unwavering as he addressed the old man. "You're staying in this kid's spiritual world? Your two brothers have been dead for thousands of years. Why are you still clinging to the Shinobi world?"

There was no trace of respect in Tatsuya's eyes, only an air of indifferent contempt.

He recalled the end of the Fourth Ninja World War—when the Sage of Six Paths, a being who should have perished millennia ago, suddenly resurfaced. The Sage had immediately granted Naruto and Sasuke a dramatic power boost, elevating them from mere Kage level to the Six Paths level in just a few days.

In a mere three days, these two had achieved three immense power-ups, from Kage to Super Shadow, and finally to Six Paths. This feat has left many who worked hard their entire life feeling ashamed of their progress.

Ōtsutsuki Hamura's chakra, or the essence of him, broke the silence with a calm voice. "Young man, it seems you have a prejudice against the actions of my brother and me. But the reason we left our chakra in this world was—"

Tatsuya impatiently cut him off, his tone sharp. "Enough with the nonsense. I'm not at all interested in whatever plans you two zombies have. I'm just curious—how is it that you've managed to avoid death for thousands of years?"
