Especially when he heard Obito's desperate cries, Hattori felt like he'd just saved the entire ninja world.

He wasn't worried about any future revenge from Obito, either. Obito's pretty weak before he goes dark, so there's no real threat. And once he *does* go dark, he'll be busy taking down the Hidden Mist and Leaf Villages, so coming after Hattori isn't likely.

For now, tormenting him a bit is totally fine.

Thinking this, Hattori made a quick move. He reached out and caught Rin Nohara, who was trying to help Obito, pulling her close with a little smirk directed at Obito.

"Too bad, Obito. I win. As the victor's prize, I'm taking a kiss from Rin!"

Obito: "(Д*)"

*Wait… when did we agree on this bet?*

As Hattori's face moved closer to Rin's, Obito let out a panicked scream.

"Stop… wait, no! Yamero!!!"

But of course, Hattori didn't listen, showering Rin's cheeks with a flurry of kisses.

"Muah muah muah muah muah…"

After a dozen or so kisses, he let her go, wiping his mouth, and then gave Obito a teasing look.

"Not bad at all! Very nice. In American slang, I'd call it 'very good!'"

"No, Rin!!!"

Fueled by Hattori's provocations, Obito let out another anguished cry as his black eyes turned a blood-red, with a single tomoe appearing within them.

"Oh, hey… did he awaken his Sharingan?"

Seeing this, Hattori raised an eyebrow, looking over at Rin, who was red-faced.

"Hey, Miss Nohara, is this the first time Obito's unlocked his Sharingan, or has he done it before?"

"Huh?"

Hearing Hattori's question, Rin shook her head.

"I'm not sure; I've never seen him like this before. Is that really the Sharingan?"

"Yup, it's the real deal, and it just activated!"

Hattori laughed again.

"Most Uchiha need a friend to die before they unlock it. All it took from me was a kiss, and bam, he unlocks it. Guess he really does like you!"

"Uh…"

Rin didn't know how to respond, but when she looked at Obito, her gaze softened a bit.

Just then, Hattori whispered in her ear.

"Let's provoke him a little more—maybe he'll unlock the second tomoe!"

"Uh?" Rin blinked, "You want to provoke… Obito?"

"Yup, like this!"

Before she could react, Hattori scooped her up into a princess carry.

He then flashed a wicked grin at Obito, who stood frozen in shock.

"As the victor, Rin is mine today. When we have a baby, I'll make sure he calls you uncle!"

*A… baby?* 

Obito's face froze as Hattori, holding Rin, dashed off down the street until they disappeared from sight. Finally, snapping back to reality, Obito let out a desperate scream.

"Nooo!!!"

Ignoring the intense pain in his rear, Obito hobbled after them. Thankfully, unlocking his Sharingan gave him a boost in speed and reaction time, so he barely managed to keep up with their trail.

Ten minutes later, he reached the entrance of a hot spring inn in the Leaf Village and urgently asked the owner.

"Hey, did you see a red-haired kid carrying a girl come by?"

"Oh yes, I did!"

The owner nodded, but before Obito could celebrate, the owner added something that made his heart sink.

"But he said if a guy named Uchiha Obito—someone really dumb-looking—came looking, I shouldn't tell him their room number."

"Uh…"

Obito forced a pained smile.

"So, um, sir… do I look dumb?"

"You?"

The owner looked him up and down thoughtfully, then nodded seriously.

"Yep. Pretty dumb!"

Obito: "Σ(°△°|||)︴"

*I can't take this anymore!*

Realizing the owner wouldn't help him, Obito waved his hand dismissively.

"Fine! I'll find them myself!"

With that, he charged into the inn, checking each room as he went, calling out as he did.

"Rin… Rin, where are you?"

Despite his shouting, there was no reply from Rin. Until he reached the second floor, where he heard someone sobbing.

"Waaaah…"

Obito's body trembled.

*That voice… it's Rin!*

Driven by urgency, he rushed toward the room and threw open the door.

"Rin, I'm here to… uh…"

He froze mid-sentence, his words caught in his throat as he took in the scene before him. Scattered clothes lay around the room, and Rin was wrapped in a blanket on the bed, her bare shoulder peeking out as she sobbed softly.

As the door opened, she looked up at him, her eyes filled with sorrow.

"Obito, I'm sorry. You came too late… waaaaah…"

Obito: "(Д*)"

*Too… late?* 

Obito was dumbfounded, his mouth open but speechless.

Then, wrapped in her blanket, Rin spoke again.

"Obito, I already have Hattori's baby… would you still want to be with me?"

Obito: "Σ(°△°|||)︴"

*Baby?! How can it be so fast?*

While Obito stood there, frozen in shock, "Rin" burst out sobbing again.

"Waaaah… I knew it, you hate me and our baby! Fine, I'll just die then—goodbye, Obito!"

She grabbed the blanket and ran toward the window, ready to jump.

Seeing this, Obito panicked and hurried to stop her.

"Rin, no! I don't hate you or the baby. I'll help raise him. After graduation, I'll work really hard, so I'll have enough money for him!"

"Pffft…"

Hearing this, the previously distressed "Rin" suddenly broke out in laughter.

"Hahaha! I didn't think you'd be such a simp, Obito. Oh, this is hilarious, hahahaha…"

*What… is going on?*

As he stared at the laughing "Rin," his face filled with horror, he took a step back.

"You… you're not Rin!"

"Bingo! Got it in one!"

"Rin" smiled and snapped his fingers.

"The real Rin—come on out!"

At that moment, the partition door opened, and the real Rin, her face red, stepped forward.

"Um… Obito, I'm the real one."
