Chapter 4: Devastation And Pile Of Dead Bodies



Hardly anyone would have seen such devastation in their entire life. People used to feel happy looking at the sky, today people are afraid to even look at it. There are corpses all around, a beautiful country which has now become a country of corpses. In the morning, when people look at their surroundings, tears start flowing from their eyes even if they don't want to.Many monks start going down from the monastery. Where are you all going? Monk asks Seung. We are all going down to help the survivors monk says . That I also want to come with you. I want to find the bodies of my father and uncle. I want to see them for the last time. Seung also goes down with others to search for the bodies of his loved ones. When everyone reaches down from the monastery, people start falling one by one and strange boils appear on their bodies. In a short while, all the blood in their bodies dries up. Seung also faints. Out of all the people who went down, only Yama and Seung have survived. Yama looks at everyone. Everyone is dead. Then he looks at Seung. He is alive. He supports him and takes him to the monastery. All the people standing there ask what happened. The eldest monk of the monastery comes. Yama tells them that some kind of poison has spread in the air. Everyone is dead and only he is left. Pointing towards Seung, he says that Seung starts screaming in pain. Seeing this, his mother starts crying and asks Monk what happened. She requests to save him, then some monks come and pick him up and take him inside the monastery and lay him on the bed, his body is very hot, then the biggest monk of the monastery, Lama comes and seeing him says, move away from him, as soon as people move away from him, fire comes out of Seung's mouth and he falls unconscious, all the people start looking at the lama, no one should know about this, you all understood, Lama says.
