Heaven`s Beloved (RI Fanfic)

Chapter 15: FIFTEEN

He reached for the gu worms he needed. They had all been either bought, traded or caught by him during his days as the leader of the prime rock gambling den. Blind justice gu, life bond gu, qi bind gu, karma tree gu and rite gu. They all appeared before him, floating around the half rotten heart. The most important gu in the killer move were the ugly heart gu, Heaven's vision gu and void call gu. These would act as the judge, jury and executioner of this move.

Ugly heart gu would bring all the evil in a person forward before Heaven's Will; attracted by the use of Heaven's Vision gu, which would either condemn a person to punishment or reward them. Karma tree gu would make sure that only the intentions that held any meaning would be brought forward and no baseless intentions would be judged. He wanted to form the killer move with the ability of injecting the Foreign will in the person if they radiated any evil intentions. The greater the volume of evil intentions that are unearthed from someone's heart, the more the void call gu feeds the person with the Foreign will. The void call gu would be used together with the qi bind gu and life bond gu

When Heaven's Will decided if the person needed to be rewarded, it would reward them but if they had evil intentions the Foreign Will would attract the anger of Heaven and it would try with all its might to destroy it. Blind justice gu was usually used by leaders that didn't want to be distracted by anything as they ruled. It caused the user to have increased strength when they face something they see as against the established order, but they would never be able to ignore any type of evil. Combined with the hatred that seemed to exist between the two wills then this would lead to Heaven not ignoring even a small amount of the Foreign will.

Creating this killer move was a challenge in many ways than one. However, what made him hesitant to create it was the reaction from Heaven's Will. While it acted unbothered by anything in the Gu world, he knew it had a bottom line and he didn't think that it would react well to the existence of this killer move. He would have stopped but with the way it continuously used his aperture to battle with the Foreign will, so that the world wouldn't be harmed in their battle, it could also take a few moments to participate in this killer move.

He knew that it wasn't that strong, nor would it work on most people due to his lack of understanding in multiple areas or his lack of attainment in Human path and Heaven path which this move seemed to resemble. He also knew that he didn't have full control over the killer move after he activated it. All these factors led to it being barely a good enough killer move. The only reason he even made it was to try and see if the two wills could be used together and if it succeeded then he would take this as a sign to combine the wills into better and greater moves.

After hours of working he was finally done. He had already worked everything out in theory but when he tried to mix the two wills, making them exist at the same time in the same place, they both started fighting. It took him adding another gu worm in the killer move for them to stop it. However, this gu was the False Seal gu. It had been injured and he knew that if this killer move failed to activate it will be killed by the backlash and he would most likely tear his soul. When he saw that the move worked, he sat there in silence thinking of a name.

As the sun mirrors gu started to shine once more, he finally had a complete killer move. Even if it had its flaws it was his, he hadn't gotten help from anyone but had crafted it himself. As he finished it a small smile formed. He got up, and walked towards the door. He had enough primeval stones, he had memorized all the gu worm recipes that he could and he had stocked up on food for his qi path gu worms. He saw no reason to continue living here.

As he walked out of the gate, and a long tongue gave him his entrance coin back, he went to the inn he had been staying at. It was a long two story building, with the first floor being the bar/ restaurant/ auction hall. The second floor was where the rooms were and at the corner, behind large double doors was a brothel that used the last ten rooms. Its entrance was at the other side, near the auction hall. He walked in, and since it was early in the morning he only found one person inside eating his breakfast. He was a blue haired young man with sunken eyes and a crooked nose. His face was filled with spots and had a large scar that ran from his upper lip and ended under his left eye.

Tai Zheng went towards the man and sat down opposite him. The man didn't seem to mind, Tian Zheng called for the server and when she went to get his food he tuned to the man. He had stopped eating and now held a cup of tea in his hand. "Are you sure you want to leave? We could always negotiate a longer contract, maybe five years or even ten." His voice was gruff but had a barely audible squeak to it. Tian Zheng didn't answer causing the man to heave a small sigh. "Here is your payment. Where are you even moving to?" when he handed a small chest shaped gu to Tian Zheng, he couldn't help but ask.

The man waited for Tian Zheng to finish counting. "Southern Border. I am looking for something and someone told me that it's there." Tian Zheng spoke after he confirmed the amount of primeval stones that were inside the storage gu before he refined it.

Tian Zheng ate his flower flour noodles in silence while the blue haired man drank his tea. They didn't seem disturbed by each other's presence, on the contrary they both weren't as high alert as they are always. An hour passed and Tian Zheng had finished his foo, while his friend had ordered two cups of tea during that time. He motioned to the server who brought a new gourd filled to the brim with spirit wine. He took a sip and felt the heavy yet smooth drink pass through his throat towards his stomach.

"You know; I have never found the exact drink my father gifted me." he spoke to his friend as he took another sip. He still remembered the feeling of the drink as it burnt his throat and healed his bruised soul. The time he fell in love with wine. "What do you want, Ji Ping?" he asked when he had transferred the new wine to his old gourd. He looked towards his friend and as he reached inside his bright red robe and retrieved a small scroll. It was yellowed and had a small string that held it together. He placed it into his table and looked towards Tian Zheng.

"I carry this message, not by my own but because of the decree of the Red Flowered monk. He had sent to you an invitation to the Lotus Monastery." He opened the small scroll and laid it before Tian Zheng. "I know that you had originally planned to go to the Qi walls that separate the two regions, I have no knowledge of why you wanted to study them but the Red Flowered monk has promised you a Qi path inheritance if you will come and study in the Lotus Monastery for a few years."

"I also know that you would grow suspicious of us if we offered all this without any reason. The Lotus Monastery needs your talent. I was told that in the dark stream forest there lived an elusive gu worm. The monks have been trying to catch it for many years and have failed, we would like you to catch it for us and in exchange we would give you the Qi path inheritance. If you fail, we shall still accept you into the monastery."

He finished his speech and continued with his tea. Tian Zheng read through the scroll and saw that it parroted what his friend had just told him, he also saw that the Qi path inheritance would be all inclusive. It would include killer moves, the gu necessary for them, gu recipes and enough gu worms to create a complete combat style. He read through it to make sure that he hadn't missed anything that would lead to him being enslaved to the monastery and when he found nothing he turned to his friend. "What gu will I be asked to search for?" This was the important part. If he found it, he could have a complete inheritance and maybe, he could finally increase his attainment to Master or not he would be closer to this rank.

He also had gotten to rank 4 middle stage a while ago and he had noticed that with the decreasing amount of pure primeval essence, he needed to use the tainted one. This came with its own problems since, if he used it then his aperture would meld with the Heaven and Foreign Dao marks. This would lead to all other paths being rejected and their gu worms being destroyed since the primeval essence he would start to produce would have some parts of the Dao marks from those paths. To even reach middle stage he had used the Heaven Dao marks tainted primeval essence and he had noticed that the gu worms filled with the Foreign will were being suppressed while the gu he had refined were being filled with Heaven's will.
