Chapter 34: Chapter 34: "Thanks, Boss, for the Tip"

Miyazawa Kazuto, Sakagami Tomoyo, and their group of juniors felt their worldviews shattered. Their common sense accumulated over the years seemed as if it had been devoured by dogs.

Especially after witnessing a fist glowing with lightning and a massive hole punched through the dark clouds on the horizon, they couldn't help but wonder if they understood their world well enough. They never expected this world to harbor such peculiar monsters and individuals with superpowers.

Miyazawa Kazuto immediately thought of his sister, Miyazawa Yukinin. He didn't believe that such disgusting monsters were alone.

Watching from afar, Miyazawa Kazuto's juniors saw the monster being dealt with and, showing their courage, approached their senior.

As for Tomoyo?

The current Tomoyo was nothing like the future one would become. "Family?" The warm term was utterly irrelevant to her.

Tomoyo furrowed her brows, recalling the monster's aggressive behavior earlier. It had clearly intended to strike hard, initially targeting two people. It seemed that through the monster's judgment, she was more attractive. She couldn't understand what it was about her that attracted the monster; she didn't believe that such a logically driven creature had any sense of human aesthetics. Moreover, the attack was clearly aimed at taking her life.

If not for the person who appeared and eliminated the monster, Tomoyo would likely have been swallowed by the creature's bloodied maw full of sharp teeth, turning into an unrecognizable mass of flesh.

Thinking of this, Tomoyo looked up at the night sky, feeling a touch of sadness, unsure why.

"Yeah, for someone like her, even if she dies, I guess no one would cry for her," she thought.

"Hey, Sakagami," someone called out from behind Tomoyo, patting her shoulder.

Tomoyo instinctively grabbed the person's wrist, resulting in an over-the-shoulder throw.

"Peng!"

Miyazawa Kazuto hit the ground behind him with a dull thud. It hurt a lot, but he gritted his teeth and didn't scream.

Upon seeing who was lying on the ground, Tomoyo said, "Sorry, I was dealing with something else just now."

Saying that, she pulled Miyazawa Kazuto back up. He shook off the dust stuck to the ground, patted his chest, and showed a bright smile.

"It's not your fault. I was also wrong for calling out to you from behind."

Miyazawa Kazuto said seriously, "Sakagami, there's something I need to discuss with you."

At that moment, Tomoyo noticed that the figure in the white robe was walking toward the town. "Sorry, we'll talk about it later."

Tomoyo now was eager to understand what those monsters were all about. "Are there other monsters?" she wondered, stepping forward and immediately chasing after him.

Seeing this, Miyazawa Kazuto quickly chased in the direction they were leaving, shouting, "Wait for me! I'm here to talk about this too."

But halfway through, he turned back and addressed his juniors. "You guys go back to the bar first. I'll go find out what's going on. I'll explain to you when I get back, and you can help flatten this area." After saying that, he chased after again.

The juniors, watching the two leave, glanced at the large hole and the uneven ground around, letting out a helpless sigh.

Fan threw the collected high-purity energy into the system marketplace, preparing to sell it off since it was useless to him to keep. Although he wanted to study it, the conditions didn't allow. His carried equipment and the collapse world's devices didn't permit him to research this kind of energy. Speaking of absorbing it, he didn't have the conditions for that yet. It was better to sell it and earn some small money, planning to buy more jars and collect a bit more.

"Making money, well, not bad."

He didn't expect it to be quite valuable—the selling price was 3,000 CrossOver Coins. With jar money, it looked pretty reasonable—but he didn't buy. Fan searched again to see how much this small jar of high-purity energy was selling for in the system and realized it was way too shady.

"Selling for 8,000? How could it not be shady?"

"If you say he's honest, the jars are bought back at purchase price. If you say he's dishonest, he earns you more than half on each jar of energy. But luckily, he realized in time."

Among some tasks posted by system holders, certain individuals were now offering high prices to buy them back, uniformly offering 6,000 CrossOver Coins. That's not including the cost of the jars; jars were accounted for separately. Then he sold them without bringing the jars, netting 6,000.

He then bought five jars in the system marketplace, keeping the remaining money for emergencies.

Fan glanced at Tomoyo and others, heading to the World's Will's prepared house. As for talking with Tomoyo and the others, he had absolutely no interest. Completing the mission and earning small money was what's important. His time was very tight now, having come to the collapse world. He wasn't sure when the collapse would occur, and if its intensity would be comparable to Collapse II, what would he do then?

Then, in the system space, he took out several test tubes. They seemed to contain yellow liquid. He opened the bottle caps, and the liquid inside was actually a type of special nanomachine meant for surveillance.

"It had to be said, watching anime was useful after all. Anime had many ideas," he thought. Combined with the current technology of the Mu continent, he successfully manufactured them. Now, the entire Mu continent—or the whole world—was filled with these nanomachines. Responsible for managing them was Ruoyin. If others took over, who knows what kind of trouble they might cause.

Fan followed the navigation on his wristwatch, walking through a dim alley, arriving at the house that the World's Will had been providing him. It was a two-story small villa, with quite a spacious interior. With a bit of modification, it could be used as a war fortress. But Fan had one thing to complain about: "You gave me the property deed, but where are the keys?"

Just as Fan was thinking about this, two keys descended from the sky and landed right into his hand. "…", he felt something and was a bit speechless, looking up at the sky, his eyebrows twitching. "Are you always watching me? Is that your idea of fun?"

However, not knowing what he was thinking, Fan sighed helplessly. "It's all the World's Will. Why is there such a big difference? The World's Will of the collapse world hasn't found him yet."

If they came to find him, he could discuss with them to cancel the collapse of this world, and he wouldn't have to struggle through a salty fish life like this. The World's Will of the collapse world, namely the Imaginary Tree and the Quantum Sea, knowing his thoughts, would just raise a middle finger at him, saying, "In the middle of a war, no time…"

The World's Will, still sitting in that pure white space, in front of the television, eyes wide open. Carefully observing every move Fan made, to avoid missing anything.

'Can't not look. A senior had also said before. The Travelers League sends people for missions, and they must be watched. If they cause trouble, you won't even be able to cry.'

The senior had told her that once, a traveler came to his world on a mission and left behind a biological lab. At that time, he didn't intervene, after all, he was poor, and the biological lab left behind was quite advanced. However, the humans in his world found the lab and started researching based on the materials left behind. Initially, they did manage to develop some things, advancing the world's development. But in the end, by the time he realized, it was already too late. He didn't know what they developed—probably called it genetic weapons.

All humans on that day turned into monsters, and those monsters were extremely strong with abnormal aggression. Only a few races remained, among them a demon god stepped forward, sacrificing himself, leaving only a head, and establishing numerous floating islands. It's still not resolved. After all, it was their own fault, they couldn't go to the Travelers League to complain. The Travelers League had clear regulations: if travelers leave anything in this world? Please pay attention promptly.

The blood-soaked lesson from her own senior was right in front of her, and she had to stay vigilant.

Just as Fan was about to open the door and go inside, a soft yet firm voice interrupted, faltering.

"Wait… please… wait a moment,"

Under the dim lights, Sakagami Tomoyo, her long beautiful hair soaked with sweat, sweat droplets trickled down her cheeks and fell to the ground. Her sailor uniform was also soaked with sweat, clinging to her body, looking especially alluring. She held her knees with both hands, panting heavily.

"I… have something… I want to ask…"

At this moment, on the dim street, another figure appeared, accompanied by urgent footsteps. Miyazawa Kazuto appeared beside Tomoyo, one hand bracing against the wall.

"Sakagami… you should… wait for me…"

Fan watched as Tomoyo and Miyazawa Kazuto caught up. Seeing the two catching up, he realized they had slightly sped up along the way and didn't expect that the two could actually keep up.

"No wonder they were the strongest fighters in Hikari Town."

Their physical abilities were comparable to those enhanced by aggressive-level Devourer Beast Elixirs, being fortified individuals.

The World's Will's voice echoed in his ear.

"Please, please help me. Boost their combat power so that they can survive against the Devourer Bugs."

After saying that, Fan heard a delightful sound of coins clinking. He opened his system to check, seeing that his remaining 2,000,000 CrossOver Coins had suddenly skyrocketed. (T/N: no its not miss translation, it literally said 2000千 (qian=1000) 2000*1000= 2 million, idk how he got that much, perhaps, the WW misclicked or something when paying him)

"Damn it!" His eyes immediately widened. No wonder it was the World's Will; they were truly generous. Even if he added up all the system coins he ever had, it didn't exceed fifty thousand.

A gesture of "OK" was made in the air.

The World's Will, after seeing that, immediately jumped off the control panel.

"Great! Looks like talking to travelers isn't that hard after all. The seniors' advice is just like they're messing around."

"Seniors have said that, aside from missions, unless you have a hundred thousand, those travelers won't agree to your requests."

Then he thought to spend fifty thousand first to test the waters, and if they didn't agree, throw the other fifty thousand. Didn't expect them to agree after spending fifty thousand.

With his hands on his hips and head slightly lifted, showing an air of invincibility, he decided that next time he met the seniors, he would definitely show off in front of them.

"Have to say, 'extreme joy leads to sorrow,' this saying does hold some truth."

The World's Will, thinking this, instinctively patted the panel in front, hitting the payment button. Ding dong, -.

?·°(???﹏???)°·? "My money, my small money, the money I've saved for so long, how did it leave me?"

Just as Fan was about to say something to the two, he heard the delightful sound of coins again and immediately opened his system to check. Upon seeing his balance, it had indeed risen.

"Thank you, boss, for the tip. I will definitely make it all nice and neat for you."

Then, he waved to the two under the street lamp. "I know what you want to ask. Come over, let's talk inside. This isn't a place to chat."
