Chapter 21: Chapter 21
After the Serafall visit, Alastor day was nothing but boring.
Sleeping with Rias, Training Rias and Akeno, Teasing Sona, Going to class and Using his Newly acquired Sacred gear. Just the usual.
Because of this, Alastor started to become boring just like how his days was after he was banned from Rating Games for a while back in underworld.
'Should I go to Sona and Play chess with her.' Alastor thought. 'She might be busy with student counsel job. Maybe I should look for the Fallen Angel base and should see if there is any suitable maid among them.'
But suddenly A slight spike of energy made him look out the window in a specific direction where he didn't see anything.
He squinted his eyes and two magic circles formed in front of his eyes, acting as lenses through which he could see. 'Kiba, huh?' He thought as he saw Kiba practicing his sword fighting in the camouflaged dome, 'Why not, I'm bored enough here as is...' He thought and jumped out of the window before leisurely walking to the free area of the ground where Kiba was practicing in.
Kiba was practicing fighting against a training dummy as he tried his best to perfect his moves.
Suddenly he felt an unfamiliar presence behind him as he didn't hesitate to swing his sword behind him, intending to cut the unfamiliar person in half, "Well that's just rude..." Alastor commented casually as he let the sword hit his torso.
Kiba's eyes widened as he realized who the person behind him was, but it was too late, the sword had already struck. He felt as if his sword was like a hot knife through butter, "Huh?!" He thought in disbelief as he felt the weight of his sword lessening.
It wasn't that his sword had cut through Alastor, whatever parts of the sword touched Alastor had disintegrated.
Kiba didn't let the surprise last for too long, knowing Alastor's fearsome reputation as the leader of the young generation in the rating games despite not having a Peerage.
"My apologies, Alastor-san." Kiba bowed with a sincere apology.
"It's fine. In fact, I'm impressed by your quick reflexes." He said. Kiba could tell that he was just saying that to appease him, but didn't mind.
"Seems like you don't have a sparing partner other than this dummy."
"Yes."
"I am more of a martial Artist than anything but I know one or two thing about sword, so do you mind sparing with me?" He asked to Kiba's surprise,
Alastor was pro when it comes to sword but he didn't need to tell that.
"You want me to sparing with you?" Kiba asked with surprise.
Kiba hesitated for a moment, unsure if sparring with someone of Alastor's caliber was a good idea.
Alastor was not just a powerful devil; he was renowned for his combat prowess even without a full Peerage. The idea of crossing swords with him was both thrilling and intimidating.
Alastor shrugged, "I'm bored and have nothing better to do, I thought I might as well socialize with you." He didn't really care about using a sword.
Kiba was no coward. If anything, this was a rare opportunity to test his skills against one of the best. He straightened up and nodded respectfully. "It would be an honor, Alastor-san."
Alastor smiled, noticing Kiba's determination. "Good. But don't hold back. I'm here to be entertained, after all."
Kiba took a deep breath and nodded again, moving to a ready stance. His sword gleamed in the dim light of the training dome, and he focused his energy, sharpening his reflexes and attuning his senses to the battle ahead.
Alastor, on the other hand, didn't bother summoning any weapons. He simply stood there, his hands in his pockets, watching Kiba with a relaxed but focused gaze.
Kiba took the initiative, lunging forward with incredible speed. He swung his sword in a precise arc, aiming for Alastor's side, but Alastor sidestepped it effortlessly, moving with a grace that made it seem like he was merely taking a stroll.
Kiba followed up with a flurry of strikes, each one faster and more aggressive than the last. But no matter how fast or precise his attacks were, Alastor dodged them all with minimal effort, his movements smooth and almost lazy.
"Come on, Kiba," Alastor said, his voice calm and mocking. "Surely, you can do better than that?"
Kiba gritted his teeth, pushing himself harder. He poured more energy into his attacks, his strikes becoming even more powerful, each swing carrying a deadly force. But Alastor continued to evade him, as if he could predict every move before it even happened.
"You know," Alastor began, his voice calm yet cutting, "your sword technique feels like it's driven by a thirst for revenge. But even then, it seems too powerless to truly do anything. Like a bug clinging to the past, unable to enjoy the present."
The words cut through the air, striking Kiba harder than any physical blow. He froze mid-swing, his eyes widening in shock. Alastor's words had struck a nerve, unearthing a pain that Kiba had tried to bury deep within himself.
Of course, Alastor did something he shouldn't have. But if Kiba need to become strong then he needs to be accept that it's not his fault of what happened in past.
If its role if villian he needs to play give kiba the taste of that, then Alastor has no doubt he doesn't need to act as he is already one.
After all he did inherent the power of Sukuna, The King of Curses.
