High school dxd: As Sukuna

Chapter 31: Chapter 31

After quickly changing into something more presentable, Alastor made his way downstairs. As he entered the living room, he saw Sona seated calmly at the table, sipping on a cup of tea.

Upon seeing him, Sona put down her cup and stood up, her expression softening slightly. She walked over to him, her eyes scanning his face and body as if checking for any hidden injuries.

"Are you okay?" she asked, her voice filled with genuine concern.

Alastor gave her a smile. "I'm fine, really. I didn't have any problems to begin with. But I should be the one asking you, Sona. Are you okay? I noticed that the wound on your cheek seems to have healed."

Sona touched her cheek reflexively, remembering the sting of the injury from the previous day's battle. "Yes, thanks to some quick healing magic," she said with a small smile. "It was just a scratch, anyway."

"Right," Alastor nodded. "And you didn't come here early in the morning just to ask about that, did you?"

Sona shook her head slightly, her expression turning more serious. "No, I didn't. I came because we need to discuss what happened yesterday. The Fallen Angels shouldn't be attacking devils in broad daylight, especially not here."

Alastor listened carefully as Sona continued. "I also did some investigation," she said, her tone becoming more analytical. "From what I gathered, it seems the Fallen Angel arrived in this town a month or two ago."

Alastor nodded thoughtfully. He had already known this information, but it was interesting to see how much Sona had discovered on her own. Her diligence and intelligence were traits he admired, even if she was piecing together a puzzle he had already solved.

Before Alastor could respond, he heard the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs. Rias and Akeno had finished changing and were making their way to the living room. They both seemed refreshed and ready to join the conversation.

"Morning, Sona," Rias greeted, her tone friendly but curious. "I hear there's been some trouble with Fallen Angels?"

Sona nodded in acknowledgment. "Yes, I was just discussing that with Alastor. It appears there are Fallen Angels moving into our territory, and yesterday's attack confirms they are not here peacefully."

You are just imagining it, Sona, It just Raynare greed which makes them came to this town. Alastor thought, but he didn't said that out loud.

Instead, Alastor nodded along with Sona's assessment, keeping his expression neutral. "We need to be cautious regardless. Fallen Angels moving into our territory, for whatever reason, is still a threat we can't ignore."

"We'll need to find out more about their intentions. Even if this attack was isolated, it could indicate a larger issue we need to address."

Sona agreed, turning her attention back to Rias. "Exactly. We can't afford to take any chances. I'll make sure my peerage is on alert and we're ready for anything."

Alastor quietly observed as the two friends discussed their next steps, his mind already working on future move, all that need right now is for Asia to come to this town.

After that, Alastor knew what he needed to do.

Alastor looked around at the group with a playful smile. "So, what did you think of my fire spell?" he asked, curious to hear their thoughts.

Akeno's eyes lit up as she recalled the spell. "That was incredibly powerful, Alastor. But it felt different from the usual magic. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it seemed like your fire spell had a unique energy to it—something I've never seen before."

Alastor nodded, impressed by how quickly Akeno noticed the difference. The spell he had used was infused with his cursed energy, a power that was fundamentally different from the magical energies typically used in this world. He had hoped someone would recognize it, but Akeno's quick insight was a pleasant surprise.

Rias looked at Alastor with a curious expression. "What kind of power was that, exactly? It didn't feel like any magic I've encountered. Was it from a Longinus or a Sacred Gear you've obtained?" She knew of his unique ability to steal Sacred Gears and wondered if this power was a result of that.

As it was only Akeno, Rias don't need to hide it as Akeno already know about Alastor ability to steal sacred gear. Just like how Sona told Tsubaki.

Alastor shook his head, a hint of amusement in his eyes. "No, this isn't a Longinus or a Sacred Gear. It's actually one of my own abilities."

Akeno's eyes widened in surprise. "Your own ability? Can you teach me."

Alastor paused, considering her question. "I'm not sure," he admitted. "It's possible that with the right training and understanding, you might be able to learn it. I'd be happy to help you try if you're interested."

I used is called cursed energy make that fire, but it would be interesting if I can teach them curse technique or something. Alastor thought.

Akeno's face lit up with excitement. "Ara, ara—really? That sounds wonderful! I'd love to learn from you."

Alastor smiled warmly, feeling a sense of camaraderie with Akeno. "Of course, Akeno. It would be a lot of fun to work on spells together and see what we can come up with."

Just as he finished speaking, a sudden notification flashed before his eyes.
