Chapter 7: Chapter 7
Sona toured me through the entire school, and finally, we came to the Occult Research Club building, which was somewhat secluded from the main building.
The ORC building was the main base of Rias's peerage, just like the student council was for Sona's.
There was also another reason Sona took me to meet Rias's club: from now on, I would be staying with them. Don't ask me why, but Sona and Serafall decided that for me. They said Rias's building had some vacant rooms I could use.
Considering it was free of charge, why waste my pocket money, right? And it would be advantageous to be with them since Rias and her peerage often attracted powerful enemies. If I was with them, I could fight these enemies and gain experience I couldn't get from Rating games.
I also saw the potential to gain powerful peerage members, like Asia. Asia had a unique Sacred Gear, so missing her was out of the question. And Rias couldn't fully tap into Asia's potential in the anime.
"Would you like to come in?" Rias asked after seeing me.
"Well, considering that I'm staying here for the foreseeable future, I think a place to stay would be good. I'd rather not sleep on the pavement."
"I think if that happened, Serafall-sama would wipe Kuoh off the map," Rias said with a light joking tone. "Come on." She turned to her peerage, "Akeno, could you prepare the room next to mine for Alastor?" she asked her Queen.
"Fufu, of course, Buchou," Akeno said and disappeared with a teleportation circle.
"She's got nice energy control..." I commented.
Rias replied, "She uses the lightning element, so energy control is kind of necessary..."
"I see. Sona..." I looked at Sona, who was absently looking at me for the past few seconds.
"Yeah?" Sona snapped out of it and looked at me with a light blush.
I smiled. "Thanks for showing me around. I appreciate it."
"No problem," Sona said, her cheeks still slightly pink. "Just make sure to behave yourself here."
I chuckled. "I'll try to do my best."
Then Sona whispered to me, "Don't try to flirt with her after I leave, okay?"
I whispered back, "Serafall told me to woo her."
Sona just looked at me after hearing that. "Are you serious, Al?"
"Yes."
"Even after she knows that I love you..." Sona murmured to herself, but it was enough for me to hear.
"Since my Sona is telling me, I won't flirt with her."
Hearing that, she gave me a bright smile.
Cute.
"Who is your Sona?," she said but she was blushing and satisfied with my reply, and went back.
Yes, I really love teasing her.
Rias led me inside the ORC building, showing me around the various rooms. The place had a gothic charm, filled with antique furniture and occult symbols. The air was thick with the scent of incense, giving the place an otherworldly feel.
As we walked, Rias explained, "This is the main meeting room. We use it for planning and strategy meetings." She gestured to a large room with a round table and numerous chairs.
"Impressive," I said, taking in the details.
We continued the tour, passing by the library, the training room, and finally arriving at a cozy-looking bedroom. "This will be your room," Rias said, opening the door.
I stepped inside, appreciating the simplicity and comfort of the space. "Not bad. Thanks, Rias."
"You're welcome. Make yourself at home," she said. "We'll have a meeting later to officially introduce you to my peerage and discuss how you can integrate with the rest of the group."
"Sounds good," I replied, setting my bag down on the bed.
"And Rias can show me around the town someday," I suggested.
"Sure, I don't mind. I'll take you to look around tomorrow after school. You should get settled until then..." Rias said mechanically before casting a magic circle and disappearing.
