His only Cure

Chapter 58: Chapter 58

Vasili was very careful, hiring well-trained people from various gangs, not connected to him at all.

He probably didn't suspect that he would come across someone like Zick, who after an exhausting night woke up only in the afternoon.

Stretching her aching body, she rolled on the bed, almost falling off it. She looked at the time and cursed under her breath.

With a slight grimace on her face, she got dressed and went to grab something to eat from the kitchen on her way to her computer.

If only she knew that it would end like this... She stopped with a bun in her mouth, remembering what Don was doing to her... In fact, she wouldn't change a thing. Ym m, nope, absolutely nothing.

She slapped herself on the cheeks, moving forward. This was not the time for such things.

Entering the office, all eyes turned to her. At the last moment, Anton caught the twins by the collars before they rushed at the surprised Zick.

He suspected that Don didn't want to reveal her gender and that the boys, snuggling up to her, would definitely notice something.

Although, seeing Don's face and how quickly he reacted when he stood in front of the girl, they probably wouldn't have had a chance to touch her or, worse, survive.

And where would Anton find someone to replace them? They were among the best, although they were far from Zick's skills.

But they were still young. They would definitely get better with time. And what's better than twin hackers who understand each other without words?

Calming the momentary tension, Zick sat down in front of the computer and began her work.

In the meantime, as her fingers flew over the keyboard, she gave orders to the twins, who were doing everything as instructed with concentration.

The bosses went back to checking the gangs involved in the incident and sent people to track their movements.

Darell was warned of the danger and agreed to let their people secretly watch over them.

When it was time for dinner, Don had to forcefully pull Zick away from the computer, who did not want to stop working.

Holding her by the neck, he led the woman as if to a conviction. However, no one knew how gentle his touch was.

Only Zick, who tried not to blush as she felt his thumb massaging her tense neck. Entering the dining room, the twins perceived her expression as one of suffering and immediately stood up for her.

"Don't bully him!"

"He just wanted to work longer. It's not a crime!"

"Let him go or.."

"Boys!" Anton growled at the twins screaming one after another, not knowing how close to disaster they were.

Surprised Zick wanted to hold back her laughter, but a snort escaped her lips.

Furious Don, hearing her lovely muffled laughter, instantly softened. He grabbed her chin and looked into her laughing eyes.

"Don't show others that smile. Remember that you are mine" He whispered lustfully into her ear, making her bite her lower lip. She looked into his shining jealous eyes.

Without thinking about what would come of it, she put her hand on his cheek and gave him a little peck on the lips.

The twins, seeing this, widened their eyes and instantly paled. They quickly looked at Anton, who quickly sat them down in their seats with a look saying 'I told you so'.

Knowing that Zick was with his boss, they understood why their boss was holding them back. But that wasn't what worried them the most.

Seeing them together, how were they supposed to convince Zick to start a company with them and leave that tyrant?

Their dreams were shattered. Anton thought they had finally understood their mistake and would improve until he saw their looks.

The men looked at Don like a child at an adult who had taken away their favorite toy.

He mentally smacked himself in the forehead with his hand, knowing that he would still have to save his hackers from his friend. Or maybe he should just ask Zick to explain everything? Maybe then the twins would understand and leave it alone.

Glancing in their direction and seeing how they had already started plotting something and laughing stupidly, he knew he had to do it quickly. Otherwise, a war would break out between them.

Don's people weren't too surprised by the whole thing. The boss always treated Zick differently from the rest and lately he didn't leave his side for a moment whenever he had the chance. It didn't bother anyone in any way.

Placing Zick on his lap 'as punishment', Don gave her a portion and watched carefully to make sure she ate it all.

He knew too well that if he left her to her own devices, she would be hungry all the time, looking for some junk food.

Glancing furtively at the people in the dining room, Zick blushed to the tips of her ears, picking at her plate.

He didn't have to do something like that in front of everyone! Although... She was the one who kissed him a moment ago... How was that worse?

Sighing at her mistake, she realized that she had given him a free hand to behave like that in front of everyone.

Feeling his hand around her waist, she glanced at him. She quickly looked away, seeing how intensely he was staring at her, eating his dinner.

After the meal, everyone went back to their activities. Zick wanted to get back to her computer as soon as possible. She didn't want to leave her work like this.

As she entered first, she noticed red warnings flashing on her screen.

"Fuck!" She screamed, sitting up quickly and trying to prevent the worst.

The others entered, surprised to hear her scream. Seeing that someone was trying to hack into their system could only mean one thing.

Vasili covered his tracks and wanted to delete everything they managed to get. Fortunately, Zick returned before the disaster happened.

Typing incredibly fast on the keyboard, with an angry face, she fought the hacker on the other side.

"We'll help!" The twins shouted, wanting to sit down at their computers, but Zick stopped them.

"No! I'll do it myself. They'll regret trying!" She screamed furiously. No one had ever seen her like this.

"You little motherfucker. Do you think you're so smart?" She mumbled. A menacing smile appeared on her face.

The twins watched in delight as their master blocked all attempts to enter and viruses sent her way and began her attack.

Seeing her start to break through their security and download data, they covered each other's mouths and began to pat each other's shoulders.

The rest of the gawkers had no idea what was happening but seeing the twins' behavior they breathed a sigh of relief, suspecting the threat had passed.

Suddenly the connection was broken and Zick's hands stopped. She straightened up in her chair. A look of victory on her face.

"Zick! You were amazing!" J and K exclaimed simultaneously in jumps of joy.

"What happened?" Don asked and earned a glare from Zick.

"This is what happens when you don't let me finish what I started! Because of you we could have lost all the leads!" She pointed at him angrily.

Everyone looked with fear at the threatening face of the boss, who had just been pointed out by his subordinate. No matter how much he liked him, this could mean his end.

No one ever stood up to the boss. Once there were one or two who thought it was no big deal. However, in a cruel way they learned that it was not worth it. Since then, no one dared to do so. Until today.

"I'm sorry" The boss's words shocked everyone present.

Did he just apologize? Everyone thought, widening their eyes and not believing their own ears. Zick, hearing the apology, lowered her gaze.

"I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have taken it out on you" She stood up and, not caring about the rest, hugged him.

She really liked doing this. Especially when he returned the hug. She looked up at him and smiled mischievously.

"I managed to get some information from Vasili before he hung up" She hummed happily.

Don smiled at her, which was another huge shock for the others, and kissed her on the forehead.

"I expected nothing less from my little genius. Show me what you've got." He released her from his embrace and Zick sat back down in her seat, showing off the stolen data.

The good news was that they knew where he was. The bad news was that he was too close.

The only time he had left his lair was a few years ago when he had faced the Ruslanovs and lost.

This time his location indicated a neighboring country, which was not a good sign. The men looked at each other nervously, knowing that this would not be easy.

Little did they know that after the last attack, Vasili had something else in store for them. He did not intend to destroy them on the battlefield, but to bankrupt them...
