Hogwarts: The Unscientific Wizard (TL)

Chapter 502: Chapter 502: Snape: I will help you with one thing

"Hmm..."

'Using external magic to create an Obscurus... is this idea really feasible?' Andy frowned slightly, feeling a little unsure in his heart.

Although this was a good idea, it was ultimately just a flash of inspiration from Andy.

It was neither supported by evidence nor could it be verified through experimentation.

After all, as society progressed, people's lives also improved a lot compared to the past. Young wizards would not be abused, so naturally they would not become Obscurial.

In this day and age, Obscurus has disappeared for decades.

Andy let out a helpless 'tsk'.

At this point, there was nothing to do except take things one step at a time.

At least, the existence of Credence proved to some extent that Obscurus is by no means an incurable condition with a certain death rate.

As long as you can control it!

With a pop, he used Apparition to return to the Forbidden Forest, where Andy used disillusionment charm to disappear and make his way back to the Ravenclaw dormitory.

Time to sleep!

***

On this night, some people can sleep peacefully and snore loudly, while others toss and turn, unable to sleep.

For example... a certain Potions professor.

Hogwarts is too peaceful, and this is definitely not a good thing for Snape.

Not that Snape is fond of chaos, but Voldemort's plan to resurrect himself has already begun.

He has set his sights on Harry!

Restoring Voldemort's power was Dumbledore's plan. Although Snape was unhappy about it, he knew in his heart that it was a necessary step in defeating Voldemort.

But Voldemort wants to use Harry's blood to complete his resurrection.

In other words, Harry will be kidnapped from Hogwarts!

So... who will protect Harry?

Dumbledore is doing nothing, Andy is staying out of it, and as for Sirius... in Snape's opinion, Sirius is an incompetent idiot.

Not to mention protecting Harry; he can't even protect himself.

Just look at what Sirius has been doing all these years.

He has been completely played like a fool by Peter Pettigrew, the useless git, and he seems to be even more stupid than the giant troll. Snape really doesn't think much of him.

Given the current situation, if Harry were to be captured, it seems that he would have to save the day himself.

Snape can't even imagine such a scenario.

To let Harry face Voldemort head-on is no different from sending him to his death.

But as he observed in secret over this period of time, Snape discovered that Dumbledore really did seem to have this idea.

He wanted Harry to face Voldemort head-on!

What was even worse was that Snape discovered that Harry seemed to have set his heart on this—there was no one else in his eyes.

'Lily...'

In the dim office, Snape sat listlessly in his chair, his eyes flickering.

Dumbledore had proven to be completely unreliable.

He might be a man of justice, but his justice was merciless.

He would use anyone as a pawn to achieve his ultimate goal.

'I need to take extra precautions,' Snape thought to himself.

***

The next morning, Andy was surprised to bump into Snape at the entrance to the Great Hall.

Neither of them said a word, but Andy knew full well that Snape wanted to speak to him in private.

It was a tacit understanding between the two of them.

That afternoon, Andy knocked on the Snape's office door.

"Good afternoon, Professor Snape."

Andy asked tentatively, "-Is this a good time to talk?"

Snape waved his wand quickly to lock the office door and said indifferently, "He trusts me now."

Andy raised an eyebrow and laughed: "It seems that Professor Dumbledore's plan has succeeded. After rescuing Pettigrew, Voldemort does trust you more." Remember, when Voldemort planned to resurrect last time, he cast a restraining curse on Snape?

Snape's countenance fell, and he was not proud of this.

"What is Voldemort going to do?" Andy asked.

Since Snape was not restrained, Andy naturally had no qualms.

"I don't know!"

Snape said indifferently, "The Dark Lord has given the task of abducting Harry to Peter. They have prepared a Portkey."

Andy was puzzled. "What about the time? The resurrection ritual needs to be prepared in advance, doesn't it? And... has Peter already infiltrated Hogwarts? Voldemort has no one by his side; who will help him with the preparations before the resurrection?"

"Barty Crouch Jr.!" Snape said the name.

"Who?" Andy was taken aback.

"Barty Crouch's son!"

Snape explained: "He didn't die; his mother switched places with him using Polyjuice Potion. All these years, Barty Sr. has been controlling him with the Imperius Curse."

Andy: "..."

What kind of plot is this?

"So Barty Sr. is now..." Andy asked.

"The Dark Lord has him under the Imperius Curse," Snape said.

"Does Dumbledore know?" Andy asked.

"Yes!"

Snape nodded, adding, "But we can't save him yet."

If that was the case...

Andy quickly figured out Voldemort's plan.

Lucius had lost his trust, and although Snape had gained Voldemort's trust, Voldemort was not prepared to let Snape participate in this plan.

In this resurrection plan, Snape was only used as a diversion.

The real executors of the plan were Peter Pettigrew and Barty Crouch Jr.

The former had already infiltrated Hogwarts, while the latter stayed by Voldemort's side to assist him in completing the preparations before the resurrection.

They prepared a Portkey.

Once he found an opportunity, Peter Pettigrew would use the Portkey to take Harry away from Hogwarts.

"What about time?" Andy asked again.

Snape glanced at Andy and said indifferently, "I'm not part of the plan."

Andy rolled his eyes in exasperation.

So you don't know anything, huh?

After a moment of silence, Andy asked, "What do you want me to do to help you?"

Snape looked at Andy, hesitating a little, but still said, "I want you to protect Harry."

"That's too dangerous!" Andy folded his arms.

A Voldemort who had lost his powers, and a Death Eater who had been imprisoned for many years... If these were the only two people, Andy certainly wouldn't take them seriously.

But the problem is that Voldemort will regain his strength!

Protecting Harry from Voldemort at his peak is no different from sending a lamb to the tiger's mouth.

"Protecting Harry at Hogwarts is fine, but if it's outside school... I want to live a few more years," Andy refused without even thinking.

Snape said indifferently, "In exchange, I will help you with one thing."

Andy's eyebrows shot up on hearing this.

This deal... is tempting!

After thinking for a while, Andy said, "Dumbledore won't let Harry die, so you don't actually need to find me."

Snape's mood took a turn for the worse. "Thirteen years ago, he promised me the same thing!"

But Lily died in the end!
