Hogwarts: The Unscientific Wizard (TL)

Chapter 521: Chapter 521: The potion is prepared successfully, and the magic transfiguration begins!

To be honest, Voldemort's resurrection may seem like a huge deal, and everyone who knows about it feels heavy-hearted as if the end of the world is drawing near.

But... life goes on as usual.

The next day, the sun rose as usual, and Andy had a pleasant weekend.

Hogwarts was also completely unaffected by the incident.

The news had not yet spread, and those who knew about it would not blabber about it. When the weekend was over, the young wizards returned to their busy school lives.

Andy also lived his life as usual.

He went to class every day, read books, and practised magic. Apart from occasionally going out to check on the progress of his potion, he pretty much didn't make any noticeable difference in his life.

The wizarding world was also very calm.

Voldemort seemed to have disappeared, and the Death Eaters were neither causing trouble nor killing and burning people. They behaved as if they had turned over a new leaf.

No one's life was affected.

Of course, while some people were living peaceful lives, others had to bear the burden.

One night, Snape went out on a secret errand and came back in a bad mood. It is rumoured that he deducted more than 50 points from Gryffindor the next day.

Dumbledore was also very busy. He had to contact various factions. On the one hand, he was gathering intelligence, and on the other, he was building a new anti-Voldemort alliance.

According to Harry's private revelations, Hagrid was sent by Dumbledore to win over the Giants, and Professor Lupin had to go out every weekend to contact the werewolf wizards scattered all over the place.

In short, Dumbledore's people were very busy.

When Andy corresponded with his family, Kyle also mentioned it in the letter. He said that the atmosphere in the Ministry of Magic was very tense recently, and those in the upper echelons were plotting something in secret.

Even his boss, Barty Crouch, was caught up in the turmoil.

He had voluntarily resigned, and rumours suggest that Crouch has been secretly imprisoned and will face trial at the Wizengamot.

The salaries of Aurors and Hit Wizards had also been raised once again, and the Ministry was expanding its staff.

The surface of the wizarding world may appear calm, but in reality, dark currents are swirling beneath it.

Voldemort, Dumbledore, and the Ministry of Magic—all three sides are now contacting various factions and secretly building up their forces.

But none of this has anything to do with Andy.

After all, Andy is still just a third-year student. No matter how powerful he is, he has no reputation in the wizarding world.

So Andy's life is very peaceful.

Time passes slowly.

March 12th, new moon.

The magic transfiguration potion will be ready today.

Andy has been a little restless all day, constantly thinking about the status of the potion and the success or failure of his upcoming dark magic transfiguration.

Everything will be revealed tonight.

For this reason, Andy even made a divination for himself.

The result was not bad... This summer, Andy went home.

In other words, no matter whether the magic transfiguration is successful or not, Andy will not die tonight.

This gives Andy a lot of confidence!

Looking at the system panel again, seeing the 'Will' attribute with a whopping seven points, Andy's original nervousness gradually turned into anticipation, and he could hardly wait.

You have to admit that divination can be quite an experience sometimes.

As night fell, Andy used the Time Turner to reverse time and quietly left Hogwarts Castle.

He walked quickly into the laboratory, snapping his fingers to light the braziers on all sides of the room.

The flames dispelled the darkness and showed Andy the cauldron on the table.

There, Andy's hopes and future were being brewed.

"One hour and forty minutes..." Looking at the scarlet potion in the cauldron, Andy could feel his heart pounding.

Waiting was a bit boring.

Andy couldn't help but recall his conversation with Grindelwald the night Voldemort had been resurrected.

There was no doubt that magic could reshape the body.

Because the power of magic transfiguration could be passed on to future generations.

But Voldemort, who had returned from the dead, still possessed the power of dark magic transfiguration.

Andy was quite shocked at the time.

But the answer to this question is actually quite simple.

The body and soul have always been inseparable. Together, they form our very being.

And magic comes from life.

However, according to Grindelwald, although the wizard's magic comes from life, the soul plays a dominant role.

In terms of the composition of magic, the body only provides the necessary nutrients in the form of life force.

Magic transfiguration is indeed a process of transformation that can change an ordinary being into a magical being.

A magical being is one whose body possesses magical properties.

If we go back to the basics... After a wizard has transformed his body into a magical being through magic transfiguration, his soul may also change as a result.

And magic will play an important role in this!

Well...maybe the word 'may' is not quite appropriate.

The existence of Voldemort has already confirmed this speculation.

But no one has really studied this.

'After all, many questions can only be answered by dissecting Voldemort,' Andy mused, rubbing his chin.

It's really something to look forward to!

Time passed quickly, and the one hour and forty minutes soon slipped away.

Andy stopped thinking about other things and stared intently at the cauldron on the table, waiting for the potion to complete its final metamorphosis.

Phew –

A cloud of red mist suddenly appeared from the cauldron.

'Success!' Andy was overjoyed.

The red mist billowed, and the potion in the cauldron was rapidly decreasing at a rate visible to the naked eye.

When the cauldron stopped emitting steam, there was only a small amount of potion left.

Andy quickly lifted the cauldron off the flame.

Once the cauldron had cooled, Andy took out a small crystal vial and poured the potion into it.

"Phew,"

Andy let out a breath, calming his nerves.

Next, there were only two final steps left: taking the potion and reciting the incantation.

Taking the potion involved a process of absorption.

Many wizards who tried to use magic transfiguration died in this step—absorbing the magic of nature is never an easy task.

After absorption, you need to recite the magic transfiguration incantation to completely integrate this foreign magic into your body through magic transfiguration.

Slytherin's notes mention that at this step of magic transfiguration, there is actually no risk.

Because the body has already adapted to the foreign magic, you just need to let it settle in.

Andy glanced again at the 'Will' attribute on the system panel and thought about the previous divination result...

'If I won't die, then there's nothing to be afraid of!'

"Hoo–"

Andy took a deep breath, picked up the crystal vial on the table, closed his eyes, and gulped down the potion.

The magical transfiguration officially began!
