Hokage: I Am an Uchiha with the Power to Extract Entries

Chapter 11: The Mist Ninja Attacks

The Minato squad had been escorting the caravan for three days on their way to the Land of Tea.

The caravan owner initially expressed dissatisfaction, grumbling about the lack of guards. However, upon hearing the name Namikaze Minato, his attitude changed instantly, displaying the classic art of face-changing in business dealings.

Witnessing this, Uchiha Obito couldn't help but feel a twinge of envy.

He and Uchiha Yuma were stationed at the rear, patrolling for security. With a wistful tone, Obito shared his thoughts with Yuma:

"Minato-sensei's name is starting to spread across the ninja world. When will the name Uchiha Obito also resonate far and wide?"

He paused, his gaze shifting toward Rin, who was coordinating with Kakashi at the front.

"If I become famous…" he trailed off, his dreamy look making his intentions clear.

Yuma couldn't suppress a chuckle. Obito's fixation on Rin was a constant source of amusement. It seemed like every step in Obito's aspirations was tied to her approval.

Shaking his head, Yuma replied, "Stop daydreaming and focus on the mission. Do what's in front of you first."

"Yeah, yeah…" Obito sighed, his response half-hearted.

Yuma ignored him, his own focus unwavering. He remained alert, his sharp gaze scanning their surroundings. While he wasn't exactly wishing for an ambush, the presence of Namikaze Minato made him confident that they'd emerge unscathed.

For Yuma, this mission was less about escorting the caravan and more about testing his skills in a real combat scenario. His recent acquisition of the entry [Natural Energy Affinity (Blue)] was intriguing, though its full potential remained untapped.

The entry had already brought noticeable benefits: a modest but undeniable increase in his chakra reserves.

Unlike other energy systems, chakra couldn't simply be accumulated through consistent practice. It was intrinsically tied to a ninja's constitution and bloodline. Extracting chakra daily didn't increase its overall reserves—it merely utilized what was already available.

Yuma's Uchiha lineage, with its strong ties to the Sage of Six Paths, was beginning to shine. Despite the Uchiha clan's chakra being modest compared to the Senju or Uzumaki, it still far exceeded that of average shinobi.

Yuma's chakra reserves had not only matched Kakashi's a few weeks ago—they now exceeded them by a significant margin. His newfound strength left him eager to test himself in real combat.

Meanwhile, on a distant beach

Unbeknownst to the Minato squad, a team of Kirigakure ninja led by Biwa Juzo, one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen, had received intel about their mission.

"Lord Juzo, the leader of the opposing team is Namikaze Minato," reported a subordinate. "He's a rising star known as the Yellow Flash. Should we proceed with caution?"

Juzo, resting his hand on his Executioner's Blade, smirked. "A speed-based ninja, huh? The Hiding in Mist Technique is perfect for dealing with shinobi like him. No need for excessive caution."

Terumi Mei, standing nearby, nodded in agreement. "The Mist Hiding Technique can easily neutralize his speed advantage. With our numbers and your leadership, this mission is in the bag."

Qing, a perceptive and resourceful ninja, spoke up. "Lord Juzo, the enemy team reportedly includes two Uchiha. We need to account for the Sharingan."

Juzo frowned in thought, stroking his chin. "True, the Sharingan can pierce through illusions. If they notice the sudden appearance of dense mist, they'll know something's up, and we'll lose the element of surprise."

After a brief pause, he added, "We'll need to take out those two Uchiha first. Volunteers?"

"I'll handle it," Terumi Mei said confidently, her lips curling into a sly smile. "I promise to give them a swift, hot end."

Back with the Minato squad

As the squad neared the Land of Tea, Minato noticed something unusual ahead: a dense fog rolling through the jungle, with faint traces of water on either side of the road.

Years of experience told him something was wrong. He was about to signal his team when he hesitated.

This was a chance to test his students under real pressure. Would they stick together and make the right choices?

Minato decided to observe quietly.

Yuma, however, didn't miss a thing. His Sharingan flared to life, spinning with its three tomoe. He scanned the area ahead and noticed something alarming: violent chakra signatures hidden among the water stains, and an unnatural resistance blocking his Sharingan's vision into the mist.

"Everyone, be alert!" Yuma called out. "There's an ambush at ten o'clock and two o'clock ahead. The fog… it's the Mist Hiding Technique!"

No sooner had Yuma spoken than six Kirigakure shinobi burst from the underbrush.

A slender, brown-haired kunoichi commanded her team, "Assist Qing in taking out those three brats. Leave this Uchiha to me—I'll make sure he doesn't suffer."

Her voice dripped with menace as she turned to face Yuma, a wicked grin spreading across her face.

"I'll make you regret seeing through our plan," she sneered. "Get ready for my hot kiss!"
