Nara Lu Xin was asleep when she sensed someone entering and immediately woke up.

"Senior, it's me. Orochimaru and the others were ambushed by the Iwa Ninja Village and suffered heavy losses. Currently, Orochimaru, Jiraiya, and Hatake Sakumo are being hunted. They are in bad shape, and I need to rescue them."

He supported Hatake Sakumo and picked up Jiraiya, who lay motionless like a dead pig. Orochimaru quickly moved toward the blocked cave entrance.

"Prepare for battle!!!"

Huang Tu frowned, looking skyward. As expected, the incoming forces were enemies, likely targeting the three fugitives.

Rain poured heavily from the sky, and Shigeru wasn't interested in engaging the enemy head-on. He tossed a scroll and directed the giant eagle to descend toward Orochimaru and the others.

"Be careful!!"

Ninjas possess sharp eyesight.

Seeing the scroll fall from the sky, the Iwa Ninja Village ninjas on the ground remained cautiously alert.

As the tumbling scroll neared the ground, it suddenly shattered.

Instantly, dozens of figures appeared on the battlefield, with their glowing blue eyes particularly conspicuous in the dark night.

What is this?

Konoha's ninja?

They didn't appear to be individuals escaping from a sealing scroll. Whose ninja could escape from such a scroll?

Puppets?

Huang Tu wouldn't have been surprised to see such tactics from Sand Shinobi Village, as they are known for crafting puppets from ninja corpses. They're skilled at it, whereas puppet ninjas are exceedingly rare in Konoha, almost as rare as national treasures.

What Huang Tu realized, others saw too.

Several Iwa Ninja Village ninjas on the scene were stunned: "That's Dayu? Isn't he dead?"

"I see Jiro!"

"Shut up!!"

Huang Tu barked angrily: "These are no longer our comrades. The enemy has turned their corpses into puppets!!"

With those words, turmoil erupted among the Iwa Ninja Village forces.
