Hollywood Zenith

After an hour of running around, Elise was tired. In this time, they circled the whole place, let out other horses which Samuel promptly pacified.

He could understand why they were so uneasy, the ranch was too small for them to move around. He decided to let them do as they pleased just like how horses in the Estate granted that they stayed out of the front garden. The French government wouldn't be too happy seeing these horses damage the cultural site.

As he was relaxing on lying on the ground thinking about these things, Elise's voice disturbed his thoughts.

" Sami! Sami!" She came running toward him taking a seat beside him.

" What? what happened? Are you ready to go inside? Are you feeling cold?" he asked.

" No, I wanted to show Aunt Kayla and Aunt Mayra these horses but..I don't know their names."

" Are you missing them already? It's only been a day and you are already bored with me?" He asked with a look of disbelief. A sad expression enveloped his face, it was just an act to tease her.

" No, no." She leapt in his arm tackling him to the ground just as she was about to apologise he started laughing and pinching his fluffy cheeks.

" Bad Sami!" She realised what was going on as she started throwing hands at his face, there wasn't any intent to hurt him so he knew she wasn't really angry but he enjoyed her cute expressions.

After calming down she said in a low voice," I just want everyone to be together."

" I see." He patted her head.

She proceeded to tell him how it would be wonderful, with Kayla, Mayra, Adele, Iblis, Samuel's parents and grandparents and even Hannah they could have a big party like what they had during Christmas.

He listened to her nagging happy to see her talk on and on about these things. At least she wasn't feeling gloomy like before.

" I will talk to them but you already saw how busy they were right? You can't always expect them to accompany you beside when you start going to school my princess will feel much less bored."

" I am going to school?" She was taken aback by it. She had heard of it but she never officially learn anything except the few weeks rudimentary sessions with his brother Grayson.

" Yes, there will be a lot of children, you can make new friends and even play with them."

" But...I want to stay with Sami." She put her head down and said meekly. The reason for tantrums of seeing him was so that she could convince him to stay with her. She already saw how much he got along with Kayla and Mayra. She had seen other people accompanying their children on the street which really made her curious.

" I really want to but if I stopped working what will happen to other children?"

"Other children?"

" Yes, you know Sami works in movies and even write books. There are a lot of people waiting for it, even many children like Elise. Wouldn't they be sad knowing that I stoped doing my work? If Elise was such a person wouldn't you be sad too?"

Elise digested what he said for few moments. She knew about the harry potter movies as she had seen few of them, knowing that if he stayed with her would mean she wouldn't be able to see him on television again almost made her cry. She got to spend times with him and even get lots of hugs and kisses, others weren't so lucky.

Then she remembered that Grayson's tutor when teaching him told her about not being too selfish, a bookworm like Grayson was already delving in philosophy and art. Even of he didn't understand much of it, Samuel's parents especially his mother Laura, thought he should be left to do whatever he pleased.

Elise used to listen to them, she would ask some questions but would find it hard to understand it such as the characteristic of selfishness. At this moment, she finally understood what it meant.

Samuel patiently waited, he knew Kayla and Mayra asked him to make Elise understand not to throw any temper tantrums but he still liked for her to be as free as possible. Instead of reprimanding or scolding, he liked this approach of slowly making her understand the consequences of her actions. Only then would she grow up to be a caring person, he too didn't want her to be a spoiled brat.

" Yes, I will be sad too."

" Then?"

" It's alright. I will always wait Sami to come back."

" Good girl, I know my princess is the smartest kid in the world!" He hugged her again seeing her heart felt smile.

He knew Elise needed a lot of support but through her he seemed to realise a lot about himself. Despite having all the knowledge in the world it wouldn't be able to beat the actual experience no matter how much he tried.

He wanted her to live like a normal child but at the same time he knew that he wouldn't be there to shield her from everything. Just like how she shut down because of Helga's injury, he wanted to have some emotional stability so that he wouldn't be too worried about her when he was away.

Accompanying her was just as important to him as the business of Delphina. In few weeks, he had to start shooting his next movie which means he couldn't just fly to her when she needs him.

He had to have a serious conversation with Kayla and Mayra before leaving. He contemplated whether to call them right now or not when someone came running carrying his phone.

" Did they wake up already?" He thought. He was sure he left the phone in his room. With Katarina and Roberta still sleeping, Henri shouldn't be able to go inside.

" Why don't you play with the horsies while I take this call?" He said to Elise before looking at who was calling him.

Elise readily agreed, after their little talk she had rested enough. Kids truly have immense energy especially when well rested. She even forgot that she was hungry before she started playing with him.

Meanwhile Samuel saw the caller ID and was surprised because he didn't expect her call him out of the blue.
