Horizon before dawn

When i finaly got to the strider camp i saw that there was a new machine guarding the rest of them, a watcher had joined the herd, maybe because i had killed the one strider yesterday they were more alert today.

'This is going to complicate things, watchers do atack unlike striders'

Taking my time scaning the area making sure there was no more suprises i started to plan how to kill the watcher the fastest way i could without getting hit by the not so heavy machine, the striders will just run away and not join the fight so this was a one vs one deadly battle, my frist one yet.

Puting my bag and non exencials for the fight on a nearby tree so i could be lighter and could roll dogde faster if i needed, then i made my way to the tall grass and waited for a while.

With my bow ready to fire i aim at the back of the watcher, if i could destroy its power source before he turned away and hit him on the eye i had a very good chance of killing it faster.

Leting the arrow fly to the power source of his back i quickly let another one go and was able to hit him with two more before he turned is red eye to me but i wasent able to destroy the power source, i let another one hit the eye but i fail to hit the moving target, it was still alive and engared, it charged at me with full fury but i was ready for him and quickly dogde and roll back a few paces, taking aim again i hit him with two more arrows this time on the eyes and he finaly stoped moving, i had done it again, i had killed my second machine and this time one that fought back.

'This is getting easyer, all i need is patience and a tag them with my focus'

The striders heard the fight and went running away somewere else,i would get them later so i soon went to work to scrap the best parts on the watcher with the focus telling me the best way to do it, with this loot i now could make a nice and crude metal spear and gain some shards for more arrows and trade.

Packing my spoils in my leather bag afeter a few more minutes of deserved rest i went looking for the running striders, they shouldent be to far away, i picked the sence with my focus and started tracking them getting ready for another fight.

Afeter half an hour of tracking i heard something, someone was fighting with my prey, i could see two brave Nora engaging with bow and spear at the striders that had run away.

'Damm it, im too late, as an outcast it is better to not intervine in this, but i can still learn something'

I had found a new focus APP that was realy usefull, video recording, so i started recording the two Nora fight to learn how they fight on teams and later on watch to improve my own skills, the fight was fast and easy they were good and soon the hunters started to scrap the bodies of their prey but watching them was painfull, they were butchering the carcas leaving the best parts damaged, without a focus they were amateurs compared to me so i decided to wait there on the tall grass until they leave.

'Its not stealing if they not using it, one mans trash another mans tresure'

I thought to my myself.

Afeter another hall a hour watching them make a mess with the spoils they finaly left, i still waited a few more minutes to make sure they did not come back and acused me of stealing.

With these new loot i could now craft another spear, they did left alot behind, some shards and wires were still there so i took my time to get everything i could, afeter another hour making sure that i got all i needed i finaly left the place carring a heavy bag of free spoils.

Now it was time to hunt some food, i still had a few arrows and was feeling prety motivated by the recent events to stop the hunting yet, catching my breath and looking for some woods to hunt i use my focus to see the hidden animals there and soon find a fox drinking in the nearby river.

One shot one kill, picking the fox i went deep inside the woods looking for more food, now that i had Albedo i needed to hunt more every day, afeter wallking a few more miles i saw some turkeys and a raccon and went for the kill, manage to kill the turkeys but the damm raccon got away and i had no more arrows so now was the time to go back home, it was getting late anyway but them something amazing happen, i could see a notification in corner of my eyes.

I scream, finaly LVL 1, now was the time to realy get stronger and i knew just the skill i needed to a fast improve.

The skills were diferent but still impresive, making up my mind days ago i quickly choose what i wanted for now.

- Silent strike -

When close and not seen by small machines or humans your hands and muscles know were to strike for true damage, improved muscle memory, improved damage and cognition.

'Now i can one shot watchers'
