“Deers are elegant, majestic creatures, something which you are not.” Xia Yang picked up the picture of the pattern of the Beast God. He drew the monster’s face on the mud figurine’s head. He was mimicking the figurine’s power. Xia Yang feared no religion because he had no faith. For him, every God and memory were paints in his control. This included himself and Gao Ming. Everything was worth it if he could personally draw out the most perfect fate.

Xia Yang disintegrated like colourful dandelions. He attached himself to Luo Dong’s wife. “There must be something special about you and your family to be chosen by Gao Ming.”

The picture of the beast and Red Spectre appeared on Luo Dong’s wife at the same time. Xia Yang turned Luo Dong’s wife’s soul into a canvas. Luo Dong’s wife was already affected even when she didn’t realise it. She easily evaded the deer hunter’s attack. The two patterns on her body injected her with power.

“Your fate has been changed. You’re with us now.” Xia Yang took control of her body. He chuckled between the two giant beasts.

Deep inside the fifth-floor corridor, the steps turned into flesh. Gao Ming ignored the battle behind him. His target was only the mud figurine with the animal face.

“You can’t escape.”

After so long, the mud figurine with the animal’s head felt the threat of death again. It had to admit it had seriously underestimated the creature chasing after it.

The door to the roof of the building was roughly kicked down. The thick scent of blood entered his nostrils. Gao Ming examined the scene before him. Even though he had seen many gory things, the scene still caused his eyes to twitch. The roof had been turned into an animal’s lair. The citizens were made into food and toys. The victims were manufactured into decorations. For the mud figurines, humans were no different from bugs. They could be toyed with without any consequences.

“It has only been a few days since you’ve escaped from Li San Hospital. How can you kill so many people already? Gods like you… deserve to die.” The shadow was cornered by Gao Ming. It leaned against the wall of dead corpse. Threads of blood capillaries crawled into a dying woman’s body. The ‘Beast God’s’ true body appeared to be very fragile. It had to possess other living beings to survive and move.

The dry skin slowly bulged. The tortured face turned to Gao Ming. “Poor bugs living in the nightmare, it’s time to wake up! We have a shared enemy in fate. Only by killing fate can you acquire freedom and witness the real world!”

“That sounds idealistic, but you are worse than the bugs you mention. You do not even treat them better than bugs. In a way, you are worse than fate.” Gao Ming knew Big Dog was hiding on this floor. However, he couldn’t tell where the blind man was hiding even when he was holding the death portrait. The blind man had learned too many nefarious schemes from Gao Ming.

“You will regret it when fate truly gazes upon you.” The woman possessed by Beast God screeched. Starting from her eyes, ghastly patterns spread through her body. The screech turned into eardrums-shattering howls. All the mutated monsters inside the building stopped moving. The mud figurine fragments inside their bodies glowed red. Their consciousness gathered at the roof.

Threatened by Gao Ming, the Beast God decided to use its forbidden power. It had openly taunted fate. The beast pattern covered the woman’s body. The Beast God didn’t have the time to find a better vessel. The woman radiated with unrestrained beastial wrath. Her eyes burned with flames. She was like a giant beast that hailed from hell. Her howls caused the night sky to crack. Gao Ming had once seen this at Situ An’s home inside Li San Hospital. When a power bigger than the limit of the home appeared within the home, cracks would appear.

“But aren’t I in reality? Or is this reality someone’s ‘home’ too..?”

At the same time, thick black mist rolled in from the endless sky. Both the Beast God and the God of Flesh and Blood sensed something horrifying. Their souls trembled. The unmentionable presence was slowly awakening.

The God of Flesh and Blood, who was never afraid of anything, made a curious decision. He rescinded his aura and fled back into the torture room. Gao Ming was basically a powerful human, standing in the monster’s lair, facing the terrifying Beast God alone.

After it had exhausted all of its faith, the Beast God could no longer hide like the God of Flesh and Blood. Plus, it didn’t have a resentment room to escape from fate’s detection. Its growl echoed like thunder. The Beast God’s hatred was at its maximum. Even if it were seen by fate, it wanted to crush the man before it.

“Gong Xi? You sure run fast.” Gao Ming turned around. As long as he could evade one attack from the Beast God and waited for the eyes in the darkness to open, the Beast God would soon die.

Gao Ming dared to take this risk because he had the torture room. Anyone else would have been crushed by fate.

The woman’s body was dominated by the beast’s pattern. However, as she was about to jump out of the lair, she realised the pattern that connected her lower body to the lair started to lose control.

“Who is fighting me for the control of my faith? When did you set this trap?” The Beast God’s eyes bled. Its hatred was like knives shooting at Gao Ming. “I will eat your flesh, crunch on your bones and drink your blood!”

The woman’s mouth yawned open. At the same time, everything in the Beast God’s lair slammed towards Gao Ming. There was still a great distance between them, but there was pain coming from Gao Ming’s neck! Gao Ming was not bitten, but somehow, a bite wound appeared on the left side of his neck.

The woman’s mouth was glazed with blood. She had lost her mind, “You can’t escape! Once I’ve taken a bite of something, even fate will have to surrender a piece of its flesh to me!”

The woman gnashed her teeth crazily. Bite marks appeared on Gao Ming’s body. His skin tore open. The wounds failed to heal even with the God of Flesh and Blood’s blessing. In fact, animal fur grew out of his wounds.

“She only needs to open her mouth to wound me?! Is this one of the Beast God’s rules? Do all the Gods kill with rules?” This mud figurine’s power was different from that of the other monsters Gao Ming had encountered. This was a wake-up call.

Gao Ming doubled over as a piece of flesh was torn out of his calf. The woman snapped her lower body, which was spiralling out of control. With her hands clawing the ground, she lunged at Gao Ming.

“I’m going to eat you!”
