Housekeeper in the dungeon

Chapter 68

EPISODE 68

Hee-na pushed down the doubts that were creeping in. But Kang jin-hyeon’s eyes were shining so innocently.

“I made you three bags of ramen yesterday. I guess you want more.

Hee-na smiled because she found this S-class hunter’s frank desire for ramen quite cute.

“Sure. If you don’t mind, I can boil ten bags as well.”

* * *

Beltlock.

As I unlocked the door and opened the apartment door, I was greeted by the smell of new furniture.

“Did the furniture arrive?”

Hee-Na looked around as she kicked off her shoes.

“All the furniture that was supposed to come is here now, and I’ve unpacked all the stuff that was delivered.”

Hee-won welcomed Hee-na home from work.

He had spent the last few days, all day, checking on the incoming furniture.

He’s had to fill in for his sister when she’s out of town, and he’s had to keep an eye on the delivery drivers and supervise their locations.

“Thank you for all your hard work with the furniture, I’ll cook you something delicious tonight.”

“Stir-fry pork.”

As soon as the words were out of his mouth, Hee-won demanded stir-fried yuk. It was one of the soul foods of the Korean office worker. It wasn’t difficult.

“Then went out to the grocery store for some fresh air and buy a piece of meat. I’ll stir-fry it.”

Hee-na gave him her expense card and sent him on his errand.

For some reason, Hee-won took the card without a word.

“Could I bought for you some drinks and snacks?”

…… It seemed like she had a plan.

“Whatever.”

Hee-na nodded generously. She’d recently gotten a promotion with good terms, so she had a lot of money to spend.

The guild had paid for her house and the furniture to fill it, so she didn’t have to pay much in the future.

Now all I had to do was keep saving for my retirement. I even had two more houses, so even my garage was overflowing.

In this situation, it would be enough to spend as much money as they earned, but their frugal habits were not going anywhere.

Both Hee-na and Hee-won could collect money like dogs, but they were far from spending it like Jung-seung.

The only luxuries they could afford were organic vegetables that cost a few hundred dollars more, a meal made with Korean dollars instead of imported ones, and tasteless snacks.

It was a frugality that belied the fact that they had just scratched the Blue Dragon Guild’s black card at a furniture store.

The siblings were secretly bold, but they also had small bowls, especially when it came to their own money.

The good news was that Hee-Na and Hee-Won are quite content with this life. A safe and comfortable life. It was everything the siblings wanted.

“Let’s see…….”

Hee-na opened the quest window to check the progress of the quest.

Required Quests (1/2)

– Get the right furniture (100/100%)

– Place interior items (0/100%)

Time limit: None

Penalty for not completing the quest: You’ll have to live in fear of being discovered as unoccupied.

Quest Reward: Calm your mind and body, and level up your “Home Sweet Home” skill!

* Additional rewards for completion at your option>.

Before I knew it, I had completed one of the required quests. It was worth it to me to put my head together with Hee-won and think about the furniture arrangement.

“Now we just need to decorate the house with props.”

Hee-na hummed as she rummaged through the packages her brother had opened.

There were pretty frames and posters, artificial flowers and objects. The items were neat, in keeping with the sophisticated furnishings.

These were things that Hina had bought out of her pocket, and she loved them. It was different from the furniture she had gotten for free.

She moved them around like ants, placing them in the right places. She didn’t have to think long, as she had imagined the scene in her head hundreds of times.

“Wow……. It was so cool.”

She even hung a large picture frame on the wall, just like the one she’d seen in the interior design magazine.

<▶ Required Quests (1/2)

– Furnish the house properly (100/100%)

– Arrange the interior decorations (64/100%)

Before I knew it, I was more than halfway through the second required quest.

“I guess the props I had prepared are still not enough.”

Hee-Na clicked her tongue in disappointment.

She wanted to finish the quest as soon as possible, but the current state of the model house didn’t seem to be on the system’s mind.

“Well. There was still an empty corner.

It was too big and, more importantly, it was uninhabited, so it seemed to lack a sense of life.

So I decided to buy some more accessories, and at the same time, I took some books I don’t read and some things I don’t use from Home Sweet Home.

“Oh, I should also put in things like a toothbrush and a towel. If I want to pretend I live here.

Hee-Na filled her head with all the items she needed to buy for the perfect crime.

Then it happened.

.

The system window flashed and the quest window added a new item.

“Huh?”

<▶ Side Quests (0/1)

– Invite the neighbors over to show off your new house (0/100%)

Additional reward items for completing side quests (guarantees a defense item of rank B or higher)>

Unlike the required quests, the side quests were a do-or-die affair.

However, the rewards for the side quests were huge.

Every time I leveled up Home Sweet Home, Hee-Na would receive a random item. But these items were just household items.

I realized that the items were all related to life, even though Hee-Na was listed as having a life-related skill.

However, the quest reward was different.

“Guaranteed B-grade or higher defense items?”

It said that I would get a defense item, and it was a B-grade or higher-quality armor!

These items were worth several times the value of normal items. This was because it was directly related to your life.

“Anything that came out was a win, right?

Hee-na didn’t know why the system had suddenly became so good, but she was excited.

“I don’t think I was going to get lucky this year, so I was going to had to do it myself.

Hee-na had even decided what to do with her future B+ armor.

It was already July. Half of the year had already passed.

Over the past half year, Hina’s life had been anything from dynamic to motion-sickening.

From being awakened as a Hidden Class Housekeeper out of nowhere, to being dropped into an E-level dungeon as soon as she awakened as a Housekeeper, to losing her company and her house all at once…… It was hard to list them all.

The best part was, “I had already fallen into a dungeon three times in the course of my extremely normal life, far from dungeons.

The odds of an ordinary person suddenly falling into a dungeon were about the same as being struck by a flying rock in a dry sky, but Hee-na overcame all these odds and succeeded in going to dungeons three times in a row.

This was no longer a coincidence, but a necessity. Wasn’t the dungeon calling to her?

It was not surprising that Kang jin-hyeon was worried that Hee-na might suddenly find herself in danger. To him, Hee-na was a non-combatant who falls into dungeons without even trying.

Hee-na was secretly worried about her strange luck.

Especially the last time, when she had to roll over a sleeping Kang jin-hyeon to defeat a boss mob, she had felt so helpless.

‘I don’t have any means to protect myself!

I thought about buying some defense items for the future, but the exorbitant price tag made me quickly resist the urge.

Less than a week after this thought, the quest rewards offered armor of Class B or higher!

The system seemed to slip in and out of her mind.

“It was only natural to have a housewarming party when you move!”

Hee-Na clapped her hands together and immediately started planning the menu for the housewarming party.

* * *

The invitees were short-lived.

It was Woo Min Ah, who had recently become best friends with Hee Na, and Kang Jin Hyun, who lived right next door.

Considering that they are two of the top hunters in Korea, they were more like a huge group than a short-lived one.

Hee-na prepared a huge amount of food for them and their siblings.

I had never invited anyone over to my house before, except when I was very young and playing with my friends.

Hee-Na was so excited to have guests in her home for the first time in her life that she cooked up a storm.

First, she made a big bowl of japchae, a staple of any feast.

The vermicelli shone brightly among the green, orange, and black…… colorful ingredients. Finally, I sprinkled some savory sesame seeds on top and it was perfect.

We also had the braised short ribs. The meat was steamed and melted in my mouth. The sweet and salty seasoning stimulated my salivary glands to no end. This was not a rice thief, but a rice heist.

Other dishes included salads, Vietnamese scam, kimbap, all kinds of vegetables, and appetizers. Sandwiches and fruits were also prepared for dessert.

“Were you preparing a festive meal? Do it in moderation. Take care.”

Hee-won threw a few words at the frantic Hee-na, but her ears were completely absorbed in her food preparation.

All I could see was the system window flashing before my eyes.

After getting up at the crack of dawn and working hard to prepare the food, Hee-Na was able to finish the table just in time for dinner.

“Done!”
