"So, you're saying this is another world?"
At Alexander's house, Sakuya's disbelief deepened as she listened to Alexander's explanation. The idea that she had crossed into a completely different world seemed too absurd to accept.
But the absence of Yakumo Yukari's presence, whose aura she could usually sense, made sense now. This wasn't Gensokyo anymore—this was a different world entirely.
"So... can I go back?"
As expected of the capable and composed head maid, Sakuya's first concern wasn't her current situation but the well-being of her mistress. Curiosity about this new world existed, but nothing compared to her sense of duty to the Scarlet Devil Mansion.
"If you truly want to return," Alexander replied, "I can show you how. You'll also be able to come back to this world whenever you want."
Hearing this, Izayoi's eyes lit up with excitement.
"Really? I can come back here anytime? What if I want to bring the young mistress with me? Is that possible?"
Her mind raced with possibilities. Gensokyo, while beautiful, was small and isolating. After living there for so long, the idea of exploring new worlds with her mistress and others from the Scarlet Devil Mansion was thrilling.
Alexander nodded, though he added a condition.
"Yes, but she has to agree voluntarily to come here."
"Don't worry about that," Sakuya said confidently. "The young mistress will definitely agree."
In truth, while Remilia Scarlet was technically the head of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, Sakuya often made the critical decisions.
With that, Sakuya took Alexander directly to Gensokyo. Alexander, meanwhile, couldn't help but feel a bit surprised by Sakuya's urgency.
"Why is she so impatient? She didn't act like this when I played the games..."
He shook his head, dismissing the thought, and followed Sakuya.
Zwish! Zwish!
In a flash of light, both Sakuya and Alexander left the "main world."
When Sakuya opened her eyes again, she found herself back in a place she knew well.
Bright red decor, familiar uniforms, and the faint metallic scent of blood—this was unmistakably the Scarlet Devil Mansion.
However...
"That's odd. Where's Alexander?"
Sakuya looked around, confused. She distinctly remembered Alexander accompanying her, but now he was nowhere to be found.
Meanwhile, deep in the basement of the Scarlet Devil Mansion—a place strictly off-limits—something stirred in the darkness.
Though the area appeared empty at first glance, it wasn't. Hidden there was a small, incredibly cute little girl.
With her long golden hair, petite frame, and bright red skirt, she looks like an incredibly adorable little girl. However, the delicate wings behind her—clearly not human—gently flutter as if in rhythm with her thoughts.
"When will my sister come back? Fran is so bored..."
Flandre sat idly on her small bed, her tiny feet swinging back and forth in the air with restless energy.
This is Flandre Scarlet, a vampire loli who is, remarkably, 495 years old.
Cough. Despite her age, Flandre has been confined to the basement by her sister since she was young. Mentally and emotionally, she remains a little girl. Thanks to a vampire's long lifespan, 495 years for her is equivalent to about five or six years in human terms.
Loneliness and boredom had become constant companions for Flandre. She didn't know what else to do with herself. With her naturally volatile emotions and lack of proper education, finding ways to pass the time was a challenge.
Don't be fooled by her innocent appearance, though—this little vampire possesses terrifying power.
All substances in the world have a structural weakness—a focal point of maximum tension—referred to as the "eye."
With her abilities, Flandre can manipulate this "eye" with ease. She can move it, crush it, or even create objects that contain such a weakness. With a simple gesture—like lightly clenching her fist—she can obliterate the structural integrity of any object, destroying it instantly.
This devastating ability is somewhat comparable to the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception from the Type-Moon(Fate) universe. However, while the Mystic Eyes can erase the very existence of a being—past, present, and future—Flandre's ability is more straightforward. It may lack the same metaphysical depth, but its convenience and raw destructive power are unmatched.
With just a light squeeze, she can annihilate even the most fearsome adversaries.
It's easy to imagine how dangerous such a power can be in the hands of someone who is mentally unstable and unable to differentiate between right and wrong. Flandre's lack of control over her emotions and understanding of morality means that she could easily hurt others without realizing the consequences.
And yet...
Because of this uncontrollable strength, she has been locked away, living in isolation. For hundreds of years, Flandre has remained confined to the basement.
No one can truly understand the deep loneliness of a little girl kept in solitude for centuries.
