Chapter 13: Chapter 13: Clash with Momon

As Jace wandered deeper into the Fairy King's Forest, a sudden shift in the air caught his attention. The serene hum of the forest was interrupted by the faint sound of heavy footsteps. His sharp senses detected an intruder—an armoured figure moving with calculated purpose through the mystical woods.

Emerging from behind a massive tree, Jace's eyes narrowed as he took in the sight of the man. Dressed in black armor and wielding dual blades, the intruder's presence exuded power and authority. Recognition struck Jace like a thunderbolt. He knew this man's true identity.

"Ainz Ooal Gown," Jace muttered under his breath, though the figure before him carried the guise of Momon, the Dark Hero.

Before Ainz could react, Jace's body surged with the energy of the forest. In an instant, he launched an attack, his spear manifesting in his hands and glowing with vibrant magic. "You dare trespass in the Fairy King's domain? Prepare yourself!"

Ainz, in his Momon persona, drew his blades, deflecting the initial strike with practiced ease. "I mean no harm," he said in a deep, commanding voice. "But if you insist on fighting, I will defend myself."

The clash that followed was a whirlwind of power and skill. Jace's spear danced with the magic of the forest, each strike creating ripples in the air as it collided with Ainz's swords. Ainz's movements were precise and calculated, his strength and experience evident in every parry and counterattack.

The forest seemed to come alive around them, reacting to Jace's emotions and attacks. Vines lashed out at Ainz, and the ground beneath him shifted to hinder his movements. Yet, Ainz remained unfazed, his presence an unyielding fortress.

"You are strong," Ainz admitted, his voice calm even amidst the chaos. "But I am not your enemy."

Jace's eyes burned with determination. "We'll see about that!"

The battle raged on, the two warriors testing each other's limits. Jace's strikes grew more ferocious, while Ainz began to unleash spells to counter the forest's interference. The clash of their powers illuminated the forest in a dazzling display of light and shadow.

Despite his resolve, Jace couldn't shake the feeling that this battle was unlike any he had faced before. Ainz's composure and restraint suggested he was holding back, a realization that only fueled Jace's desire to uncover the truth.

As the fight reached its peak, both combatants paused, their weapons still poised for the next strike. The air between them crackled with tension, the forest itself holding its breath.

"Enough," Ainz said firmly, lowering his swords. "This is pointless. I came here seeking knowledge, not conflict."

Jace hesitated, his grip on his spear tightening. The sincerity in Ainz's voice gave him pause, but his instincts urged him to remain vigilant. "Prove it," he demanded. "Swear on your name that you mean no harm to this forest or its inhabitants."

Ainz nodded solemnly. "I swear it. My only goal is understanding."

The forest seemed to respond to his words, the tension in the air easing slightly. Jace slowly lowered his spear, though his eyes remained locked on Ainz. "If you're lying, I'll make sure you regret it."

"I wouldn't expect anything less," Ainz replied, a hint of amusement in his tone. "Now, perhaps we can talk like civilized beings."

With the battle over, the two warriors stood amidst the enchanted forest, the echoes of their clash fading into the distance. Though their meeting had begun in conflict, it was clear that their fates were now intertwined in ways neither of them could yet comprehend.
