I am Thor

Chapter 124: Chapter 124: The Most Embarrassing Quicksilver I've Ever Seen

"Uh, as much as I'd like Thor to come back, it doesn't seem very realistic right now," Tony shrugged. "His Highness is busy with an intergalactic war."

Nick Fury hesitated. If Thor was truly occupied with war, he likely wouldn't be able to return soon. Perhaps they'd have to let the Avengers handle this on their own. After all, the Avengers were not Thor subordinates, and Tony and the others would likely act on their own if needed.

"If that's the case, we'll slip into Sokovia territory without drawing attention, and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents will cover you."

"Then what?" Tony asked.

"Then..." Fury suddenly stopped, his eyes widening as he noticed Thor standing at the door.

"When did you get back?"

"Well, that was fast! How's the Star Wars situation?" Tony joked. "Need any backup?"

"It's over," Thor replied nonchalantly, narrowing his eyes at Stark. "My father pierced the core of the Dark Elves' home planet, blew it up, and won."

Thor described the destruction with startling simplicity.

"Are you serious?" Tony blurted. "Don't mess with me; you know I don't read much!"

For once, Steve didn't remind Tony to mind his language. In fact, everyone, from S.H.I.E.L.D. to the Avengers, even Nebula—who had seen more than most—stared in shock.

"What's so surprising?" Thor gave her a pat on the head with a light smile. "Thanos once challenged my father for the Space Stone, and he got beaten out of his mind."

Nebula didn't reply, still too stunned.

"Alright," Steve interjected, "let's get back to the HYDRA issue. Since Thor's back, how about we take down Sokovia's HYDRA base together?"

"No complaints here," everyone agreed.

In a dense forest on the outskirts of Sokovia lay an ancient castle, guarded by an army of HYDRA soldiers. Unbeknownst to the outside world, this was HYDRA's last stronghold, their final hope for a comeback.

In the base's command room, a bald man stared at the screens with feverish excitement. The monitors showed two rooms.

In one, a young man dashed around at blinding speeds, crashing into walls with loud bangs, moving erratically like he was having a fit. In the other, a young woman with red hair made a sweeping gesture with her hand, causing streaks of red energy to dance around her. Tables and chairs floated and spun in sync with her movements.

These two were the only survivors among hundreds of HYDRA's human experimentation volunteers.

Suddenly, the alarms blared throughout the base.

"Master Strucker, we have an intruder!" a soldier reported frantically.

"Who is it?" Strucker asked, still holding onto a glimmer of hope.

"It appears to be... the Avengers!"

Strucker's face turned ashen. With no other choice, he made a swift decision. "Deploy all tanks and Soldier! Stop them at all costs!"

He clenched his fists. "And release the two test subjects. I'll make sure the Avengers regret coming here!"

"The HYDRA soldiers' weapons look familiar!" Tony remarked, dodging an energy beam. He fired back, whistling. "Since when did HYDRA get laser weapons?"

"They not only stole the Scepter, but they also took a load of Chitauri weapons after the Battle of New York," Steve replied grimly. "With Pierce helping them from inside S.H.I.E.L.D., HYDRA had an easy time getting resources."

Ahead of them, a tank blocked the way. Hulk suddenly descended from above, smashing it with a powerful palm strike, then ripped off its cannon and swung it like a giant club, smashing it into another tank.

A silver streak shot past them.

Hawkeye fired an arrow at the figure, but it zipped toward him, knocking him to the ground in a flash.

Hawkeye quickly put down his bow and drew a dagger, but the figure vanished in an instant.

He spoke into his comms, "I spotted someone with high-speed movement, practically invisible to the naked eye. He looks around twenty, with short blond hair and wearing white. Not sure if he has any other abilities."

"Got it," Thor replied, striding forward. To others, HYDRA's base might seem like a fortress, but for Thor, it was a walk in the park.

"Seems like HYDRA managed to create a successful superhuman. This one has super speed, similar to The Flash from those old movies." It was fascinating how, aside from the Marvel universe, movies and comics from his previous life still existed in this world.

Just then, a figure appeared before him. Thor barely had time to react.

With a loud crash, the young man lay sprawled out on the ground, unconscious.

Thor looked down, speechless. This is the most embarrassing Quicksilver I've ever seen.
