I am truly the Monkey King

Chapter 20: Chapter 20 The Number One Finest in the World

After dodging the sword strike, Su Hang clawed down, his movement akin to a Kunpeng piercing through the clouds, soaring above the nine heavens.

"This claw technique…" Deputy Director Liu's eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets in shock.

Su Hang's claw technique radiated like the sun hanging high in the sky, majestic and awe-inspiring, righteous and grand, its energy enveloping the very heavens. In comparison, his own technique seemed sinister and crafty, full of pettiness, not nearly on the same level.

"I thought he was going all out when he sparred with me, but now it seems this lad hasn't shown his true strength yet." Deputy Director Liu's discomfort was replaced by complete and sincere admiration.

He even began considering how to ask Su Hang for guidance on the claw technique.

When Su Hang struck with his claw, he directly snatched away Li Bobo's soft sword, and then rapidly circled Li Bobo, attacking relentlessly.

Li Bobo had no ability to fight back, and by the time he managed to retreat, he was already lying on the ground.

His clothes were shredded into strips, and his body was covered in shallow scratch marks, bloodied and raw.

Li Bobo lay there listlessly, with tears streaming from his eyes, sliding down his temples.

He looked like a humiliated young girl, bereft of the will to live.

"Hahaha..."

Ruan Lingling, the tall girl, and others couldn't help bursting into laughter upon seeing Li Bobo's condition.

"So this is the grand finale champion, eh? His demeanor is truly extraordinary," the tall girl laughed heartily.

Li Bobo turned over and buried his face in the ground, cradling his head in his hands, much like a turtle withdrawing into its shell.

Even Su Hang couldn't help but chuckle. He had just earned a full thirty Points of Violence Value from this youngster.

"You've passed the entry test for the Spirit Hall," Meng Wudi stepped forward and said to Su Hang, "In a few days, someone will deliver the relevant documents and employment contract to you."

"What is the state's plan for dealing with the Life-Devouring Talisman in Mei County?" Su Hang chatted with Meng Wudi as they walked out of the martial arts training hall.

"The Xuantian Department has taken more than ten people afflicted by the Life-Devouring Talisman from Mei County to study methods of breaking the curse, and they're also utilizing the national intelligence network to search for Qiu Jing's whereabouts," Meng Wudi regarded Su Hang not as a nineteen-year-old youth but as an adult, "Based on the information you provided, I'm also in charge of investigating places in Weiyang City where formations are laid out."

Su Hang nodded silently, bid farewell to Meng Wudi, and as he was walking out, encountered Gao Yang, the director of the Outstanding Talents Bureau from Changle City.

Gao Yang was taken aback upon seeing him, then sneered coldly, "So, you're thinking of joining the Earth Spirit Hall, huh? Hehe... Dream on, you won't get in there, because I disagree."

"Who do you think you are? Your disagreement means nothing to me," Su Hang said with disdain.

"My Gao Family is a martial arts lineage, and my great-uncle is the deputy director of the Earth Spirit Hall in Qinyuan Province, a Mysterious Scholar and authority on personnel. Just one word from him and you can forget about ever setting foot inside the Earth Spirit Hall," Gao Yang said with a sinister smirk.

"Then pass a message to your dear great-uncle from me," Su Hang said as he walked away, "Tell him that if he can keep me out of the gates of the Earth Spirit Hall in Qinyuan Province, then I'll steer clear of the Gao Family from now on. I just fear you all might not have what it takes."

"So arrogant. I can't wait to see you barred from the Spirit Hall's doors. Then we'll see if you're still this arrogant," Gao Yang said coldly, watching Su Hang's retreating figure.

No sooner had Su Hang left the Earth Spirit Hall than a yellow convertible raced up to him and stopped at his side. Behind the wheel was none other than the tall girl from the martial arts training hall.

Dressed in a black tight-fitting outfit, she accentuated her voluptuous figure to perfection.

"My name is Liu Jingyin. Where are you heading? I'll give you a ride!" The woman offered him a sweet smile.

"Tian Ce Martial Arts Academy," Su Hang accepted without hesitation, hopping into the car, "Did you enjoy the stinky tofu you snatched from me last time?"

"Delicious, it was so delicious. It wasn't just food; it was art," Liu Jingyin recalled, practically salivating, "Where did you buy that stinky tofu?"

Su Hang was speechless and spelled it out for her: "You robbed me!"

"That's why I came to give you a ride," Liu Jingyin said sheepishly.

They had barely turned the corner in front of the Earth Spirit Hall when a figure shot out from behind a telephone pole on the roadside, abruptly blocking the path of the convertible.

Liu Jingyin was startled and couldn't help but curse, "Li Bobo, are you insane?"

Li Bobo ignored her, placing his hands on the hood of the car and glaring at Su Hang, "Don't get too cocky; I am the undefeated youth. You are only stronger than me for now. Time will tell. I will surpass you."

"Bobo, don't set unreachable goals for yourself. You will only become despondent later on," Su Hang said earnestly.

"I am a natural-born king, the destined savior. I have peerless luck, surpassing you is just a matter of time, just you wait and see," Li Bobo tossed his head, flinging the strips of fabric from his body, and strutted away.

"How lonely it is to be invincible, oh how empty it is... Alone at the summit, the cold wind keeps blowing, my loneliness, who can understand me..." A rich and intoxicated voice sang, drifting from the direction in which Li Bobo had disappeared.

"Top quality, the most top-notch in the world!" Jing Yin shook her head secretly, but when she turned to look at Su Hang, she found that he had fallen asleep against the seat.

Jing Yin smiled, closed the convertible's roof, and started driving slowly. When the car stopped outside Tian Ce Martial Arts Academy, Su Hang still hadn't woken up.

"This guy actually looks pretty good when he's asleep," Jing Yin leaned on the steering wheel, turning her head to scrutinize Su Hang closely.

"Mighty and high-spirited Great Qin, reclaim our rivers and mountains. Blood unexhausted, we shall never cease to fight. To the west, the rising Great Qin inspires. Centuries of national grudges, seas cannot level..." Suddenly, a loud and unyielding voice erupted, startling Jing Yin.

It wasn't until Su Hang fished out his phone from his pocket and answered the call that she realized it was Su Hang's ringtone.

"Hello, who's this? Liu Qing..." Su Hang paused, "Meet up? Sure, I'm free tomorrow at noon; you pick the place."

After hanging up, Su Hang saw they had arrived and said with a smile, "Thanks for the ride back. I'll treat you to a meal another day."

"No need, no need. I'd like you to give me some pointers on my Great Eagle Claw Technique, if that's okay?" Jing Yin's smile was even brighter than blossoming flowers, revealing her neat and white front teeth.

"Every morning at six o'clock, I'll be deep within the small forest north of the boys' dormitory at the Martial Arts Institute, cultivating," Su Hang left these words behind and took his luggage to leave.

"Thank you, I'll bring breakfast for you in the morning," Jing Yin secretly felt triumphant, "After all, I'm more charming than flowers, a smile from me can topple cities. If I take action personally, how could you possibly refuse?"

But the next morning, she found herself too confident in her own charm; but that's a story for later.

Returning to his dormitory, Su Hang found that only the third roommate, nicknamed Lu Xingshang, was there—a big fat guy about 1.7 meters tall. He was from Chujiang Province of Lin Province, and his family was in business, apparently quite wealthy.

He was discussing the mysteries of life heritage with Teacher Cang.

"Where are elder brother and second brother?" Su Hang asked while unpacking his things.

"Elder brother went to the internet cafe to play games, and second brother left this morning to go on a training journey," Lu Xingshang answered without looking up.

Seeing a cardboard box on the bed, Su Hang opened it and found it was full of love letters for him, three to four hundred of them.

"These are from the younger sisters at the academy, oh right, Li Fei also wrote you three letters, they're on your desk," Lu Xingshang turned to watch him, grinning lewdly, "Little four, now you're our academy's number one heartthrob."

"A bunch of boring women with nothing better to do," Su Hang tossed the box onto the desk, lay down on the bed, closed his eyes, and checked his Violence Value—it totaled 134 points.

"With so many points of Violence Value, I hope I can win some big gifts today." Su Hang began the lottery drawing.

"Thank you for participating!"

"Thank you for participating!"

"Congratulations on winning a Summoning Talisman!"

Su Hang's heart leaped with joy; this was really good stuff, he could summon Tang Lifen anytime he wanted.

"Congratulations on winning a bottle of Five Whip Liquor!"

"Congratulations on winning a stick of Extreme Bliss Incense!"

"This system is way too capricious, offering invigorating wine and Aphrodisiac Incense—what's going on?" Su Hang took out the Super Tiger Whip Liquor, which was golden and clear.

Reading the description, it said the liquor was made from five types of beast whips including tiger, deer, and sea dog. Upon opening the bottle cap, a refreshing aroma of liquor floated up.

"What a fragrant liquor!" Lu Xingshang sniffed, moving closer, "Four, let me have a taste."

"Take it all and drink it," Su Hang gifted the liquor and continued with the lottery.

"Congratulations on winning a Divine-Searching Talisman!"

"Congratulations on obtaining a box of condoms!"

...

Having spent all 134 points of Violence Value, Su Hang drew a pile of prizes, of which the Five Whip Liquor was the most abundant—twelve bottles in total.

"Didn't win any great gifts, but got five Divine-Searching Talismans. There are many ancient temples and Taoist halls in Weiyang City; maybe there are True Spirits there. I can go searching tomorrow," Su Hang opened his Storage Slot.

"Too much useless stuff," Su Hang started to sort things out, clearing out useless items like grass carp, condoms, Huoxiang Zhengqi water, sanitary pads, and Lao Gan Ma, packing them all into the Storage Bag of that immovable sage.

Su Hang's gaze fell on a large cardboard box he had cleared out, the Mysterious Gift Pack he had drawn last night at the Mei County hotel. He tore it open casually.

"This, this is..." Su Hang's pupils constricted, his hands trembling with excitement, "Without such a thing, the Great Sage Equalling Heaven wouldn't be the Great Sage Equalling Heaven at all."
