Chapter 38: Interdiction
Aiden then spoke as he looked at Celestine. "So quick question, how do you even plan to Interduce us".
Celestine looked between Aiden and Olga, sensing the tension. "I understand your concerns, but it's important to remain calm. I've already arranged for a proper introduction, and things will go smoother than you think."
Aiden's eyebrow twitched in skepticism. "You really think that's going to work? Olga's reputation precedes her, and as for me, people don't even know I exist. We're both walking into a firestorm."
Olga crossed her arms, her expression amused. "Not quite, Aiden. Rumors have already spread throughout the Seven Kingdoms about you. People are talking. They might not know the full story, but they're starting to recognize your name."
Aiden smirked, clearly not impressed. "Rumors don't count for much. Unless you've got proof, they don't know anything about me. The moment I step out there, I'll be just another unknown to them."
Celestine sighed, trying to keep the peace. "The rumors are only part of the equation, Aiden. What matters is how we handle the presentation of the truth. You'll be introduced properly, and people will start seeing you for who you really are."
Aiden gave her a flat look. "We'll see how well that works. But don't expect me to just roll over."
Olga gave him a sly grin. "Always so skeptical, Aiden. You'll learn. The world doesn't turn on just your will. You might be a wild card, but even that can work in our favor."
Aiden met her grin with a smirk of his own. "We'll see about that. But if anything goes wrong, I won't be taking the blame."
Celestine, clearly exhausted from the back-and-forth, stepped in once more. "Enough. The time for talking will come later. Right now, we need to focus on the next steps."
In that of the part was one man, This was Grave Levantine a man who has seen his fair share of will everything, he is an old and respected figure someone who came before the time of the Princes Knights, he was the father in law of Claudia, to everyone he is an old man a war hero to does who knew will that something else.
He was busy eating, as his eyes was moving seeing all the novel, he was so done with everything yeat noting catches his eyes yeat, he had heard about the Orc Degaster and his it had been delt with there was a rumour that the Dark Queen Olga had helped them which he doesn't believe to him it was her who made the army and then the other Rumours that was becoming popular.
The Rumour went like this, there was a new ruler a 3rd king, some called him another God reborn maybe that of lighting, he has yellow hair and runs a small town called Aether, he was 10 foot tall beast with wings, as he sat on his throne rulling the monstee his names was Aiden.
Grave didn't believe this rumers or that of the being a new king, as then he heard something he turned his head to see Vault.
Vault looked at Grave as he spoke. "How has it been old man".
Grave narrowed his eyes as he looked at him. "I am hardly an old man, I have fought in the frontline and fought Olga army for many years".
Vault just looked at him as he spoke. "And yeat here you are a retired war hero, a father whoes son only compression was to marry a Princess Knight and here you are".
Grave looked at him as he spoke. "And what do you want Vault".
Vault just laughed as he looked as he spoke. "Noting much, just that think about this Kingdom is shit and our goddess reborn Celestine has no way to rule, what has it that she has lost her mind what do you think".
Grave's gaze hardened as he leaned back in his chair, his old bones creaking slightly as he sighed. "You know, Vault, I don't care for your riddles or your insinuations. You're not wrong about this kingdom's state, but don't pretend to understand the weight of leadership. Celestine's not some naïve goddess, and she's certainly not someone you can manipulate."
Vault's grin never wavered, his eyes gleaming with a dangerous, calculating light. "I'm not saying I want to manipulate her, Grave. What I'm saying is that the world's changing. The rumors about this new king, Aiden... there's something to them. Maybe you should stop pretending like you don't see it. A new player on the field means a new order. If Celestine's losing control, what happens next?"
Grave's eyes narrowed, but he said nothing at first. He could feel the weight of the conversation bearing down on him, but he wasn't one to entertain empty words. He'd seen too much in his time to let this kind of talk sway him.
"What's your point, Vault?" Grave's voice was low, barely above a murmur. "You think you're going to change things just by making noise? Or are you planning something more... sinister?"
Vault leaned forward, his smile turning more insidious. "It's not about noise. It's about timing. The old ways are dying, Grave. Celestine's rule may be crumbling, and that opens up opportunities. If Aiden's the king the rumors say he is... well, I'm curious what side you'll take when everything shifts."
Grave stood up, his chair scraping against the floor with a loud, jarring sound. He looked at Vault, his expression unreadable.
"One thing I've learned in my long life, Vault, is that it's always the ones who talk the most that have the least to offer. If you're trying to scare me, you're wasting your time. I've been to hell and back, and I've seen kingdoms rise and fall. If Celestine's rule is truly in jeopardy, then it's not the time for games. It's time to choose sides, and make sure those who want change get it."
Vault watched him with a piercing gaze, then shrugged casually. "We'll see what side you end up on, old man. But don't be too surprised when the world changes beneath your feet."
Grave's eyes hardened, but he didn't respond further. He turned on his heel and walked away, his mind already turning over Vault's words. The rumors of Aiden, this new king, echoed in his thoughts. It was too early to tell whether the man was a true threat or merely a shadow. But one thing was certain: things were about to get much more complicated.
They then heard the sound, as all the people in the part looked up too See where the sound came from, as they saw it was non other then Celetsine, everyone looked up at the Goddes Reborn.
Celestine looked at everyone as she spoke. "All my summons people, I am grateful all of you make it here".
Grave looked at her as he wonder to him. Self. "What is she Doing".
Celestine then cleared her throat as she spoke. "As I said this is the celebration for the winning agent's the Orc Degaster and as I said two people that helped are here, they are our new Allie".
One of the people them spoke. "Yes more help to defeated the Evil Queen Olga".
Celestine sighed, knowing what will happen will shock everyone. "Let me introduce you too them, you all already know one very well, way to well".
As then reality's it selfed crack, the spell that was keeping the main thing hidden was finally gone as then everyone saw Olga and Aiden standing there in all thehe glory, as Olga had a smirk on her face and Aiden and quite chill look to him, his hands in his pocket as he looked at the crowed of people he gave his best Rimuru smile.
The crowded was way to stunned to speak after what just happened.
Celetsine just sigehd as she spoke. "Let's me Interduce you too then, on my right is Olga the queen of the dark lands and too my right is Aiden the ruler of Aether in the Nuterale zone.". When they heard Aiden name they were shocked they tryed to process the rummers with this 13th yearold yellow hair looking young man to the 10 feet tall lighting god.
Celestine then cleared the throat. "One more thing, during trh Orc Degaster, both me and Olga have made a peace agreement the war is over".
If the last suprise was like them getting hit by a brick this was full on wave heating all of them, the audience was too student to speak..
Aiden looked at Celetsine. "Noting has been yeated at us yeat, so this is better then I expect".
Grave in the other just looked, he was the most shocked out fo everyone as he spoke in his mind. "Vault you were right".
The room was filled with stunned silence, the shockwaves of Celestine's announcement reverberating through the crowd. Grave, ever the war-hardened strategist, was the only one who seemed to recover from the initial blow. His mind raced as he processed the implications of what was unfolding before him. Vault had been right—Aiden was more than just a rumor. The arrival of the new ruler of Aether, standing side by side with Olga, the Dark Queen herself, was no mere coincidence. The world was changing, and not just in small ways, but on a monumental scale.
Celestine, her voice steady but carrying an undeniable weight, continued. "Aether, under Aiden's rule, will be a neutral zone where alliances can be forged and old wounds healed. The days of senseless war and bloodshed are behind us." Her words rang with authority, but even she seemed to feel the tension in the air.
Olga's smirk widened, clearly enjoying the spectacle. "It seems the world will have to get used to new rules," she said, her tone laced with both amusement and a dangerous edge. "And for those who doubt our power, they'll soon learn."
Aiden, still with his hands casually in his pockets, surveyed the crowd, his Rimuru smile never faltering. He didn't seem fazed by the stares and whispers. In fact, he looked almost... bored, as if he'd expected this level of shock. His yellow hair and youthful appearance made him appear almost out of place among the seasoned rulers and nobles, but those who had heard the rumors about the monster king and his supposed 10-foot height weren't so quick to dismiss him now.
Aiden broke the silence, his voice cutting through the stillness. "I didn't expect to be the center of attention," he said casually. "But it's good to know I still have that effect on people." His words were light, but there was an underlying steel to his tone. "I assure you, there's no need to fear me. I'm not here to destroy, only to ensure peace."
Celestine nodded approvingly at Aiden's calm demeanor, although she knew the storm of reactions that would follow. She wasn't expecting everyone to accept the new arrangement right away, but for now, it was necessary. The battle against the Orc Degaster had shown the world that change was needed. What better way to begin than with the alliances forged in the heat of battle?
Grave, still processing the events unfolding, glanced at Vault, who had appeared beside him with a gleam of amusement in his eyes. "So, Vault," Grave muttered under his breath, "looks like you were right after all."
Vault grinned. "Told you. The world's shifting, old man. And you'll have to decide which side you're on when the dust settles."
Grave didn't answer, his thoughts turning inward as he realized the magnitude of what had just been set into motion. A new king. A peace agreement with Olga. And Celestine, the goddess reborn, setting the stage for a new world order. He could feel the weight of it all—this wasn't just a political shift, but a revolution.
As the crowd remained in stunned silence, Aiden took a step forward, his presence commanding attention. He didn't need to speak further for now; his mere existence was enough to make his intentions clear. The world had changed, and they would all have to adapt to this new reality.
Olga, noticing the tension still hanging in the air, let out a small laugh. "It seems like we've made quite the impression, Aiden," she said, looking at him with a smirk. "How long do you think before they're all bowing before you?"
Aiden gave her a dry look, not at all bothered by the attention. "I'm not here to be a king in their eyes, Olga. I'm here to make sure the peace holds."
Grave, however, wasn't ready to accept it so easily. He clenched his fist as he watched the exchange, knowing that even if the peace was real, it would take more than words to change the hearts of those who had fought for so long. "We'll see how long that peace lasts," he muttered under his breath, but the doubt was starting to creep in. Perhaps Vault was right. Perhaps the winds of change were too strong to ignore.
