Chapter 27
Chapter 27
—–CROW—–
“So, that’s how I survived.”
“I see… You’ve been through a lot.”
After our happy reunion, I untied Ryu Da-hee and explained what had happened.
Of course, I omitted the part about being bitten by a Necromancer zombie and gaining special abilities.
I told her about being taken by the search party, the dangers I faced, and how I was now living in the department store, protecting companions like Yoo Ha-yeon.
“But why are you taking women from the dormitory?”
Da-hee asked, interrupting my story.
She now knew that I was the one who had been trading food for women, and since she was the latest acquisition, she was naturally curious about the reason.
Of course, I hadn’t told her about sleeping with Ha-yeon or “educating” Na-yeon.
“It’s necessary for my future plans.”
“To get revenge on the soldiers?”
“Well… yes.”
Although, to be precise, it was revenge on everyone except Da-hee and Han Mo-a.
“I thought so…”
Da-hee didn’t ask any further questions after hearing the word “revenge.”
She knew what I had endured at the hands of the soldiers, the humiliation and abuse I had suffered after saving her friend.
And how I had been abandoned by the other civilians in the end, left to fend for myself.
So, she remained silent for a while, staring out the window.
We were currently on our way to the department store.
I was driving her there safely.
“Alright, I’ll help you.”
“…What?”
“You must have a plan if you’re trading food for women, right?”
I had kept my reason for taking the women—taking their virginities—a secret, which seemed to have caused a misunderstanding.
She hadn’t imagined I was actually having sex with them after acquiring them.
Considering how I was back at the dormitory, it was understandable that she wouldn’t think of that.
Back then, I was an inexperienced virgin.
But this worked in my favor.
The fact that she didn’t see me as a dangerous man was a welcome development.
I needed to keep my abilities and my sexual activities a secret for now.
No matter how things played out, I ultimately intended to sleep with Da-hee.
Of course, with my current abilities, I could easily force myself on her.
But raping her would be a significant disadvantage.
Unlike Na-yeon, Da-hee had been one of the few people kind to me at the dormitory.
And I needed to maintain a positive relationship with her as an ally.
So, I planned to seduce her and sleep with her consensually, if possible.
“So? What do I need to do? Did you give Oh Na-yeon some kind of task too?”
I *had* told Na-yeon to keep checking those pregnancy tests.
“I’ll tell you later. You must be tired. Just get some rest today, and we’ll talk tomorrow.”
“…I’m fine, though.”
“I’m not fine. You must have been scared being tied up like that.”
“…You’ve always been so meddlesome.”
Da-hee said with a small smile.
It was her way of being kind.
She seemed to have accepted my suggestion, as she didn’t ask about the plan again.
Me, meddlesome?
If she knew what I had been doing lately, she wouldn’t say that.
‘It’s good that I have a positive image, though.’
First impressions were incredibly important.
For example, it was difficult to shed the image of a delinquent once it was established.
Da-hee was a prime example.
In college, she was known for her beauty, but also for her sharp eyes and aloof demeanor.
She also had a strong sense of justice and didn’t tolerate unfairness, which meant she didn’t have many close friends.
I only started talking to her after saving Mo-a from the zombies.
But she still had that sharp, intimidating aura about her.
So, the fact that she saw me as a kind person was a very good sign.
People tended to lower their guard around kind people.
“Wait here for a moment. I’ll go inside and talk to my companion first.”
“You mean Yoo Ha-yeon? Okay.”
Thanks to the relaxing drive, Da-hee seemed much more at ease.
Back at the dormitory, she had always seemed tense, stressed by the lack of food and the constant danger.
And being cooped up inside the dormitory building for months must have been suffocating.
“Ah, oppa! You’re back? …Huh? Where’s the person you were bringing?”
“I’ll bring her in soon. But first, I need to talk to you.”
I immediately told Ha-yeon what she needed to keep secret.
She already knew I was unaffected by zombies.
She also knew that my influence was the reason for her enhanced physical abilities.
And I especially emphasized the need for secrecy regarding our sexual relationship.
“S-so… we’re not doing it today…?”
“No, I’ll wait and see. I need to take care of some things first.”
Ha-yeon looked disappointed.
She must have been looking forward to it.
Most of the time, Na-yeon had been the recipient of my cum.
She must have been excited to receive it again now that Na-yeon was gone.
I patted her head and said,
“Don’t worry, I’ll fuck you senseless once I’m done with this.”
“Okay… Mmm.”
Ha-yeon blushed and squeezed her thighs together, probably imagining our lovemaking.
“W-what should we do?! They’ll find out…!”
Well, I’d just have to tell them she was a pervert.
“Hello… I’m Ryu Da-hee.”
“Oh, hello! I’m Yoo Ha-yeon.”
After ensuring Ha-yeon’s silence, I brought Da-hee to the third floor of the department store.
Unlike with Na-yeon, the meeting between Ha-yeon and Da-hee was calm and polite.
Da-hee stared at Ha-yeon with wide eyes, then glanced at me.
“What?”
“Nothing… She’s just… very beautiful.”
Da-hee looked at me with a slightly displeased expression.
With her naturally sharp features, her frown made it seem like she was glaring.
‘Hmm… could it be…?’
No, I shouldn’t get ahead of myself. Making assumptions could ruin everything.
I needed to create a good atmosphere and sleep with her tonight, if possible.
Otherwise, I would have to resort to less desirable methods.
“Alright, since Da-hee is joining us, let’s have a party to celebrate!”
“Yay! A party!”
“A party…?”
Ha-yeon, familiar with my “parties,” beamed.
Da-hee tilted her head, as if questioning the idea of a party in the midst of a zombie apocalypse.
“W-what is all this…?”
Her eyes widened in surprise as she saw the various ingredients I had brought up from the basement level.
They weren’t particularly unusual ingredients in normal circumstances.
But in the current situation, this was an unimaginable sight.
Fresh meat, various vegetables, a variety of spices…
And a large amount of alcohol.
“I’ll cook everything quickly.”
“L-let me help.”
“It’s okay. You’re our guest today, so just sit and relax with oppa.”
Da-hee stared at Ha-yeon, who was preparing the food, with an incredulous expression.
But as the aroma of the cooking food filled the air, she realized this wasn’t a dream.
“How… how did you get all of this?”
She looked at me with wide, trembling eyes.
“I have my ways.”
Of course, I didn’t elaborate. Even if I did, she probably wouldn’t believe me.
But the way Da-hee looked at me had changed.
I could sense a hint of respect in her surprised eyes.
‘Well, it’s understandable she’d be surprised to see me like this after I was treated like dirt.’
What made people attracted to others?
There were countless factors, but…
One particular instance could spark interest in someone you previously hadn’t noticed.
It was when they showed a side of themselves completely different from their usual persona.
For example, someone who always dressed sloppily suddenly showing up looking sharp.
Or someone who always seemed to be sleeping turning out to be a soccer prodigy.
Or a delinquent being surprisingly kind to children.
Witnessing such unexpected behavior piqued people’s curiosity.
Especially with the opposite sex, it could suddenly make them seem like a potential romantic partner.
Of course, the effect might not last long, but…
The important thing was to attract positive attention.
“Anyway, just relax and make yourself comfortable while you’re here. Think of it as a vacation.”
“……Okay.”
Da-hee nodded awkwardly.
Of course, all that was just theoretical knowledge.
I didn’t know how effective it would be on Da-hee in reality.
But she seemed a bit more relaxed around me compared to when we were in the car, so I considered it a positive sign.
“How is it? Is it good?”
“Yes, it’s delicious. Your cooking is getting better every day.”
“Heehee…”
Ha-yeon had prepared dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken) as the main dish, along with several side dishes.
Mostly food that paired well with alcohol.
“Wow…”
Da-hee took a bite, her eyes widening as if she was seeing a hallucination, then looked at me.
“I-it’s delicious…”
Her eyes glistened, her expression conveying the emotion she felt from eating a warm meal after so long.
True to her character, she didn’t cry, but…
She seemed deeply moved, smiling sadly as she savored the food.
I poured her a drink.
“Don’t think about zombies or anything else tonight. Just relax, eat, and drink. Let me know if you need anything else.”
“Is this… really okay? Can I really eat all of this?”
“Do you not want to eat? If not, then don’t.”
“What are you talking about! Of course I want to eat!”
Da-hee laughed playfully and snatched the glass from my hand.
She immediately took a large gulp.
“Ahh! I haven’t had a warm meal and alcohol in ages! I thought I’d never get to experience this again.”
“You can have this every day if you stay with oppa, so eat as much as you like, Unnie. Cheers!”
“Cheers!”
We continued to enjoy the delicious food and drinks, the pleasant atmosphere enhanced by the alcohol.
“Oppa is truly amazing. He kept sharing your food with me even though he were in danger himself.”
“…Really?”
“Yes, and he even risked his life to bring me here through all those zombies. I can’t thank him enough.”
“…Hmm.”
The conversation was mostly between the two women.
I mostly listened, not wanting to say anything that might ruin the mood.
I knew I should probably say something to increase their affection for me, but…
Fortunately, Ha-yeon was doing a great job of that for me.
I could sense Da-hee’s opinion of me improving thanks to Ha-yeon’s stories.
“Wow, you’re more manly than I thought.”
Da-hee playfully nudged my shoulder after listening to Ha-yeon.
The alcohol seemed to have lessened the distance between us.
“Or maybe you helped her because she’s pretty and you were interested?”
“What are you talking about? She wouldn’t even open the door for me back then, so all I knew was that she was a woman.”
“Ugh, I-I’m sorry… I wasn’t thinking straight back then…”
“Hmm… Well, she’s pretty, isn’t she? I was stunned when I first saw her. Weren’t you?”
I had been stunned, but…
“Well, I don’t know…”
I mumbled vaguely and took a sip of my drink.
“Hey, don’t drink alone like a lonely old man! Cheers!”
Da-hee bumped her glass against mine cheerfully.
‘She’s a good drinker.’
She drank without hesitation, enjoying herself.
Her cheeks were flushed, and the alcohol seemed to be putting her in a good mood.
‘Who would refuse food and drinks in this situation?’
Months of stress and hunger caused by the zombie apocalypse…
Finally, after all that tension, she was in a safe place, enjoying a delicious meal.
It was impossible to resist.
And the more she drank, the better my chances became.
“Heehee, am I pretty?”
“What are you talking about? You know you are. I thought you were an idol when I first saw you.”
“Da-hee Unnie is very pretty too, and you have a great figure.”
I watched Da-hee, who was happily chatting and drinking with Ha-yeon.
Her clothes had become disheveled, her windbreaker slipping off her shoulder, revealing her collarbone and the curve of her shoulder enticingly.
‘So fucking hot.’
As planned, Da-hee was getting increasingly drunk.
‘It won’t be long now.’
When was the best opportunity for a man to sleep with a woman?
Right after a drinking session, of course.
Alcohol numbed reason and amplified primal instincts.
That’s why men who wanted to get laid tried so hard to drink with women.
And the zombie apocalypse didn’t change that.
“Ah… I think I drank too much… I’m sorry, but do you mind if I excuse myself?”
“Oh, you have a low tolerance. That’s okay, we’ll clean up. Go get some rest.”
“Thank you…”
As I had instructed beforehand, Ha-yeon excused herself at the opportune moment.
“How about you? Want to stop drinking?”
I casually asked Da-hee after Ha-yeon had moved to a distant bed.
There was still plenty of food and alcohol left.
Naturally, she would be reluctant to stop at such an ambiguous point in this rare feast.
“What, are you drunk too? Come on, let’s have a few more drinks.”
It was a difficult moment for her to stop.
I grinned at her response.
“Okay, then I’ll stay with you until you pass out.”
“You said it yourself. No backing out now.”
I raised my glass, and Da-hee playfully clinked hers against mine.
We continued to drink and chat, our moods light and carefree thanks to the alcohol.
“Hey… are you interested in Ha-yeon?”
Da-hee suddenly asked.
She was smiling playfully, but her eyes were studying me.
‘Was she really concerned about that?’
I recalled her reaction when she first saw Ha-yeon.
I had dismissed it as my own overthinking at the time.
“What are you talking about all of a sudden?”
“Well… she’s beautiful, isn’t she? Honestly, wouldn’t any man be interested?”
“I don’t know, the situation was pretty dangerous back then.”
“Hmm~”
Da-hee took a sip of her drink and paused.
A brief silence followed.
“Then…”
She glanced at me and continued casually,
“What kind of person are you interested in?”
It was a strange question.
Of course, conversations about romance were interesting and made for good conversation starters, especially during drinking sessions.
But we were drinking alone.
I smiled playfully, enjoying the pleasant atmosphere.
“Someone with big breasts.”
Da-hee’s eyes widened for a moment, then she burst out laughing and playfully hit my shoulder.
“You idiot! I meant personality, not physical attributes!”
“You don’t know what you’re talking about. Girls with big breasts always have good personalities. It’s perfectly logical.”
“That’s just a superstition. How can you judge someone’s personality based on their breast size?”
I smiled, pleased with her amused reaction.
“Well, you have a good personality.”
Da-hee paused.
Then, she narrowed her eyes playfully and teased,
“Were you thinking about my breasts just now? You pervert.”
She didn’t seem offended, laughing and joking along.
‘Her reaction is pretty good.’
Even under the influence of alcohol, people usually felt uncomfortable with sexual jokes.
But if Da-hee, whom I wasn’t particularly close with, was reacting like this…
It was worth a shot.
“Earlier, in the car…”
“Yeah?”
“You cried when you saw I was alive. Why?”
I dropped the playful tone and asked her seriously.
Da-hee blushed and looked away.
“I thought you were dead. Of course I’d cry.”
“Did you cry when you heard I was dead?”
“Do you think I’m that heartless? That’s mean.”
Her reaction was definitely influenced by the alcohol.
Normally, she would have been more composed. Her emotions were clearly more readily apparent than usual.
I put on a hurt expression, rested my chin on my hand, and slowly took a sip of my drink.
And then…
I gently placed my hand over hers.
“…….”
Da-hee seemed surprised by my sudden action, her eyes widening as she looked at me, but…
She didn’t pull her hand away.
“I thought of you right before I thought I was going to die.”
“…….”
It was a lie, of course.
But Da-hee, unaware of that, blushed and nervously met my gaze.
And a moment later…
We were kissing passionately.
