Chapter 9 - Review Time
Lin Suyan pulled himself back from his thoughts and quickly refocused.
“I’ll go to the recording studio to set things up. Sister Lan, will you come next door to listen later?” He asked, rubbing his hands together.
“Mm,” Yu Aolan replied, waving for Dai Lin to bring some documents over. She figured Lin Suyan needed some time to prepare, so she decided to make use of the spare desks and chairs to continue working instead of waiting around.
Within ten minutes, Lin Suyan was ready and informed Yu Aolan, who closed the files and handed them to Dai Lin before nodding for him to begin.
Lin Suyan started singing, and his voice immediately filled the room. His unique tone, clean and refreshingly youthful, captivated the listeners. Even Dai Lin, who had no knowledge of music, found herself stunned by the difference between his speaking and singing voice.
Yu Aolan, calm and analytical, focused on assessing Lin Suyan’s performance. The melody of “Rebirth” was incredibly catchy, and she could tell it had the potential to remain relevant for years to come. She could already see how successful the song could be.
As the song ended, Lin Suyan anxiously searched her expression, wondering if she’d liked it.
“Sister Lan, actually, the song can be improved,” he nervously explained, twisting his hands. “With the studio equipment, I think I can enrich the arrangement even more.”
But instead of answering him directly, Yu Aolan turned to Dai Lin and asked, “What do you think? As a pure listener, would you want to keep this song?”
Dai Lin, though caught off guard, gave her honest opinion: “It’s very good. The melody is impressive, and his voice is special. I’d definitely save this song and probably play it on repeat.”
Lin Suyan blushed slightly from the praise, but his eyes were still fixed on Yu Aolan, waiting for her final verdict.
Finally, Yu Aolan’s sharp gaze softened. “Have you ever considered debuting as a singer?” she asked, surprising Lin Suyan with the unexpected question.
